People have already benchmarked on YT rn just search some up and rmb the numbers, take an average if u want to, then find more vids after they fix the issue to see if it went down cuz people r definitely still gonna be shooting out vids
I think the test could have also been done with the back of the phone on the table. I feel like most people charge that way so they can see the screen. But also it should get hotter because the back will be against the table allowing for less air.
I was in the Apple Store yesterday and the two Pro models were definitely putting out a lot of heat. The standard 15 and the older phones were comparatively much cooler. Firmware fix is supposedly in but the store phones apparently didn’t get the message.
The standard variant heats up a lot you don’t use it that’s why you don’t know. I’m using the 15 base models and the moment you start using camera for 3-5 minutes it’s starts to heat up so fast you can literally feel the heat on your hand the software update did not fix anything
Using the 15 Pro Max while talking on it can make it extremely hot as well. I hope Apple rolls a good fix that takes care of this. I don’t want a bad unit out of my return policy.
I knew this was all BS. The funny thing is all the Apple haters are echo chambering this and their coveted Samsung are hitting 100 too LMAO. So funnny. People are such sheep.
i feel like people take everything they see and run with it 💀 they don’t realize that things like the durability tests are accounting for the EXTREME and that overheating issues some are having are more than likely software issues rather than hardware issues. People are thriving on negativity and hate lately like bffr 😭
Every phone heats up while talking on it. 😂 ive had all kinds of phones through time and can tell you that this is just normal. You buy one of the most powerful phones and expect it to be as cool as ice? 😂 don’t forget that some of these phones beats laptops performance.
@@moby1kanobActually no, it’s not about being a sheep. I just bought a 15 Pro Max about 10 days ago and i also have a Z Fold 5 from Samsung. And i can confidently say that my iPhone is getting wayyyy hotter when i am on a call. I never had over heating issue on my Fold 5 or the S23 Ultra that i had before buying the iPhone. Not at such a degree. The 15 PM is getting burning hot. Like it’s literally concerning kind of hot. It cools down after couple of minutes but the overheating issue is real whether a software issue or hardware issue but it’s a real thing and no, Samsung doesn’t over heat to such concerning temperatures.
I had a Galaxy Note 7 from preorder and it had the same overheating issues as shown here. I'm interested to see how Apple handles this situation or what the real cause of the issue is.
I read yesterday that was a software issue, some social media apps are the reason cause of there programming. An update should fix it, thought the update is out. If that is really true
Samsung foundry is known to have overheating issues, from Exynos to 3000 series nvidia gpus. Even Snapdragon manufactured by Samsung overheat sd888 sd8gen1 non plus. Note 7 problem was battery bad design.
For me it was Instagram on iOS17 (until the last Instagram update), on my 15 Pro AND 13 Pro Max. Just having it open was enough to heat both phones. So my guess is that it's a software issue, maybe a combination of an iOS bug and a bug in an app.
Correct Apple has already officially said there’s a software update coming and they are working with different app developers to fix and make those apps more iOS 17 compatible. I just love how the news and all the droid boys point fingers right away without knowing anything
@@RJtoon1 lol that is just an excuse of apple. Some reported they don't have any instragram installed but still they got heating issue. LMAO these isheep really believe whatever apple said to them. Truly an Isheep
Like some people have already commented, I think it might be the iOS issue as I've noticed my 14 Pro Max being somewhat hotter and its battery is draining like nuts ever since I've upgraded to the iOS 17 and its newest iterations. And yes, charging my 14 PM has been getting warmer with the Apple 35W charger. Great vid!
My 11pro max started heating up since the update, but I thought it was finally time for an upgrade, so I did to the 15 pro max. Now both phones are heating up the same which made me thing it’s normal and nothing was wrong with my 11pro max. Watching this video makes me realize it’s definitely the iOS 17 update that’s causing all the over heating.
"My 11pro max started heating up since the update, but I thought it was finally time for an upgrade," Well yeah that's what Apple does to push you to buy the new one.
Apple’s chip are more power efficient, but also consume more energy at higher levels of performance according to geekerwan. You also don’t need to be an engineer to understand that Apple’s assembly of parts in a device is not even trying to dissipate heat unlike Samsung’s actual dissipating vapor chamber.
I think it has to do with iOS 17. This is because my 13 Pro has been overheating frequently since the upgrade. It was rare for me to get my phone to overheat while driving with GPS and Spotify or UA-cam running. It seems to happen every day now.
It was definitely software, specifically a few apps (such as Instagram being one of them). The new app and iOS 17.0.3 updates have fixed the overheating issue.
I think that's the problem with cases like this, same with "fast decline of battery health". It will always never be exactly the same circumstance as any other with the same phone or problem. There are just too many variables at play when trying to test it out or to figure out things. While yes there actually might be a problem in the phone or software but it might be harder to track down and easier for people to just conclude that ALL iPhone 15 that are out in the market as susceptible with overheating issues.
the problem is easy, older apps are not optimized for the new chipset, or the new 3nm chipset is not that good, remeber snapdragon gen1 is something like that is happening now
@@sol_xzthe issue is with the 3nm chip. Tsmc couldn't meet the efficiency yields so Apple lowered their standards, but overclocked the CPU and added another GPU core, when compared to the A16 chip. Hence the overheating
I definitely think that this is software related, I've had an eight for a few years and it happened to me on different ios versions, sometimes my phone would overheat in my pocket during winter while it was in airplane mode and nothing was running, it got so hot that it bothered me through a thick pair of jeans. It also happened to my eight when using Instagram, after a few software updates this issue was resolved. I'm interested in what my experience with the 15 will be like.
I put my s10 on the bed and it had a case on. It's summer so it's hot in general. The phone decided to stop charging. So imagine with heavy use and a case on. And it's new. Thats a problem.
Thanks for doing this test! Seems pretty even across the iPhone spectrum. Personally, I think many of the Pro Max users are going to have higher expectations and demands, and therefore they’ll be quicker to point out if it’s getting too hot…also, there are multiple factors as mentioned!
As they chose the pro max version, they are probably familiar with the previous phone not heating up which are most likely would be a pro max or a pro phone. Barely someone would chose to get pro max from regular models.
What fixed my pro max overheating issue was resetting the phone as a new one rather than having transferred everything from my previous phone. Once I reset back to factory settings and set up as a new phone, it’s been working perfectly
My 13 Pro has never been able to charge in my car in the summer or spring because of heat. If I talk on the phone while it’s charging, it gets super hot. Has done this since I bought it.
Why did he even bother with the non-image one?! That was a waste. Maybe to prove the imaging one was calibrated, once, then move on to the imaging one, would make sense.. But, he kept using the non-imaging one. I'm confused.
@@Steve-tf1wvFlir is a reputable make like Fluke and not sure what make is the other one? Thermal cams would show hot spots straight away as opposed to searching for them blindly...
Great temperature test. I personally only experienced issues with wireless fast chargers on the 15 pro max. The Anker cube would stop charging and the iPhone would say too hot and wouldn’t even hit 80%. Switching to a slower wireless charger solved the problem
@@AidanCrossmanI mean, samsung were exploding at one point and my current note 10+ back melted off because how hot it gets playing games. I have to use a phone case to keep the back on 😂 I have to use the smaller anker charger for now. Gonna wait til the S24 Ultra before upgrading.
have the 14pro and noticed it started heating up a lot after the last update of iOS 16 so I m pretty sure this is a software issue because it significantly changed my iPhone's temp during charge and use
After major updates, the phone has to "Re-index" the file system, to optimize the phone. This can take anywhere from days to weeks, and will drain both power and make the phone hot. This could also be combined with the software issues of ios17 overheating phones
Very interesting test. The results kind of make sense. I'd be surprised if the body material played a huge role between the Stainless Steel 14 Pro and the Titanium 15 Pro. Aluminium has a thermal conductivity of around 236 W/m/K vs ca 14.3 for stainless steel and 22.4 for Titanium. The stainless steel will therefore conduct heat at the slowest rate of the 3 materials used. I think it has a lot more to do with the way the computing power is used as well as the heat transfer area of the larger phones.
I was taking photos on my 15 PM Natural Titanium 512gb (day 8 of use and the phone was inside of the Apple Clear Case) and after about 15min I got a message on my camera app that the iPhone is too hot and the photos were taking much slower. Only happened once and I was outside at about 85F temps. Relatively a non issue for me but it did happen.
I can assure I had same scenarios in my iPhone 13 as well 2-3 times. Maybe its their camera AI and processing that is causing heat issue when their processes are not getting scheduled properly in the chipset hence using much more processing cores than needed and creating heat.
Never had any overheating issues with my 11 Pro Max, it only warms up when charging using a 10 W wireless charger via UAG case (and of course when left the phone once in a holder in my car in Greece with boiling temps - only then got a message about my iPhone needing to cool down before it could be used).
It’s iOS 17. I use my phone for work daily. Lots of screen time. My iPhone 13 worked fine up until iOS 17 released. The battery drains insanely quick. Gets real hot during regular use just playing music sometimes. I have cleared the cache kept less apps open in background and opened up more space despite space not even being close to maxed out.
@@Jamesophical I dont recall denying there are phones overheating in my comment. Unless you’re replying to a different comment, you should really try not to stick a carrot in an orange box. Those are brand new phones with no apps, no data, no sync, no background task, nothing going on, infact they're being charged while switched off. Such a flawed test.
You should keep it between 20-80. If you keep it at 100 it will keep recharging the battery and damage the battery chemistry. Battery degrades faster above 80%

@@moby1kanob, I mean, did you actually watch the video? The Samsung was the only phone on a 100W charger, and, even more importantly, it's the only phone (out of those tested) that actually supports fast charging (all iPhones are rated for a 20W charge speed, while the Samsung is rated for 45W). So, the fact that the Samsung was still the coolest phone (under these circumstances), is extremely impressive. So, I do agree, not only are people sheep, but the Dunning-Kruger effect is still as prevalent as ever...
My 14 pro gets extremely hot while connected to my car audio via bluetooth. Has been more noticable after ios 17. So my guess is it is definitely a software issue.

The S23 Ultra also accepts 45 watts for fast charging. The iPhones only accept 25 watts off those bigger 65 watt chargers. Surprised it was never mentioned.
@@el_semir He is comparing them to it side by side therefore it is missing that context. It is rather important to know that Samsung is also pulling almost twice the juice as the iPhones. You need this information to accurately compare the temperatures and the reason why the Samsung got as hot as it did. Samsung on a 25watt charger would laugh at the iPhones but take around 15% more time to fill to 100% because it has around a 15% bigger battery than the 15 Pro Max. He was also mentioning percentages of batteries comparing how fast they're charging. It is very relevant.

Great video! Very interesting info. Basically, if you heavily use a powerful phone with a large battery and then fast charge it, it gets very hot! I’m using an iPhone 13 Pro and have noticed that the phone can sometimes get very hot when using wireless charging. I wonder how these tests would have gone if the charging was only done wirelessly.
Been using my 15 Pro since launch day. I never had any issues with the battery or the heat. It never heated up. I use it a lot throughout the day. A lot of messaging because of work. A lot of pictures are taken every day. Average amount of phone calls are made every day. A little bit of gaming every now and then. Always max brightness when outside. Always listen to music in the car. GPS is always on in the background for Google Maps Timeline's sake. The battery lasts me the whole day very comfortably. It just doesn't run out. I use the Apple Magsafe wireless charger at night. I don't use it when it charges cuz I'm SLEEPING!!! As I said, been using it since launch which is about 10 or so days now. I didn't experience any issues, it's going solid and I'm very happy with it. This is my first iPhone since the iPhone 5 as well.... Just wanted to get my bit in...I'm open to listening to other people's experiences as well... Edit: I forgot to mention that I'm getting 5-7 hours of screen on time on average. Generally around the 6 hours 15-20 mark.
It’s worth mentioning that the measurement of a thermal camera comes with a lot of physical boundaries. Comparing iPhones with different back material has a huge measurement error. You need to keep that in mind, when people compare these results here.
Lou, I noticed that you tested plug-in connections for all of the devices but I have also noticed that using wireless connection such as MagSafe decimate the phones heat up a lot faster than other options. Plugging the device tends to cool off a lot better but having it on a qi charger just to make it hotter. I don’t know if you’ve noticed that in your tests.
Electrical engineer here, it's to do with the fact that wireless chargers use induction, much like induction cook-tops which produce large amounts of heat in less conductive metals, so yes the physics principles used for wireless charging will naturally heat up surrounding components and will cause batteries to deteriorate faster. Fast charging will also cause issues as the heat produced is proportional to the square of the current supplied through a cable (e.g. 3x charging speed will result in 9x heating). I try to avoid fast charging unless I need my phone charged quickly in a pinch, and I never use wireless chargers.
All phones charge at different speeds depending on their charge level. The reason they cooled at the end is because they charge slower after 60-70% and thus create less heat
Imagine the heat in Asia where the temperature can get up to like 40 degrees around 100 Fahrenheit. The phone would be much hotter to hold because it can't cool off as much in an environment like the studio you are using and you guys are wearing jackets.
The same cooling was all over all the phones including s23 ultra but all had mostly comparable temperature 🌡️ so we can't say iphone 15 pro max has overheating issues
I lived in Asia. Any phone that hot, we can still hold it. Majority used phone cases/cover. I don’t use one at the moment but i did use either the 65w or the 120w. The 65w does what the video shows (it does cool down if you don’t have any apps going on but it won’t go above 80%) but the 120w…that’s weird. I charged like 5mins & it does charge fast like 9% increased (it does get hot) so I unplugged it. What’s weird here is that when I was out of my house, for some reason it ‘charged’ itself by 1% (mind you I didn’t have any power banks with me).
except if people bothered to read up on iOS and Iphones/Ipads they literally have an operating ambient temp of 0-35c so yes while it would get "hotter" in asian countries, if your using it out of spec which some asian countries and even some EU countries can see higher than 35c ambient then the issue isnt on apple here in some scenarios, this doesnt put them in the clear in other areas but people still need to be mindful phones have a safe operating ambient temp
Overheating has been an issue with some Sony and Canon cameras for years. I have had first hand experience with them and it is very frustrating because cameras cost thousands. Although I don't own any of these iphones, hopefully the issue will be resolved soon because it can be a pain in the backside.
Most of the Sony cameras overheating is an early warning. When it is turned off the cameras usually don’t overheat. Only in extremely demanding things like 4K 120p, My A1 has not overheated once and I live in Florida and I shoot in 4K 120 and 8k 30. I turned off the heat warning.
@@RiceCubeTech yes i said some Sony cameras not all. I have had my a7iii overheat and shut down in the past, Sony ZV-1 and canon 7d many years ago. And I do understand I need to set my auto power temp to high. I am merely stating that this is not a new thing and not great considering the price. I have learnt how and what to do to avoid them since.
I think there are 2 varianles that need to be considered as well here: the very cool AC-ed room plus the table that the air is cooling and acting like a BIG heat sink. Maybe try heat neutral surfaces like a mattress, in a normal room.
A mattress is not a neutral surface lmao. It is always said not to put phones/laptops on beds/blankets/carpet as there is no way for heat to escape. The room at 72 isn't 'very cool' its standard room temp for any house, some even less. Tables like that most likely made of plastic or wood are terrible heat sinks.
If the problem was structural due to the titanium frame, wouldn’t we be seeing the overheating issue in all or most of the pro devices, particularly among power users such as tech reviewers putting the phone through its paces? The fact that only some are experiencing this problem but many are not suggests that what Apple is saying about it being primarily a software issue, and perhaps certain types of usb-c chargers, is correct.
Imagine the heat in Asia where the temperature can get up to like 40 degrees around 100 Fahrenheit. The phone would be much hotter to hold because it can't cool off as much in an environment like the studio you are using and you guys are wearing jackets.
No, it’s not an “issue” at all because these temps are well within normal operating temperature for any phone. All this is is unwarranted hysteria based on people’s subjective (and incorrect) OPINIONS on what constitutes “overheating”. Even 130 Fahrenheit would not warrant these assertions, and the 15’s are not getting anywhere close to those numbers. Move along people, there’s nothing to see here…

Biggest miss here, is nobody charges like that. Everyone charges with screen on top meaning back is flat on the table or even wireless charger, let alone having a case. I hope Lew realizes this. And everyone else.
This was a great charging video session. I learned a lot between all the distinctive models of the iPhones and the Samsung. I have a iPhone 15 Pro Max and for the first few days, I’ve been using MagSafe charging for the most part. Yes, it’s heating up only at the magnetic charging part And it takes maybe about over 3 to 4 hours to have a full battery charge without using the phone too much. Me personally I have not experienced any overheating issues maybe because the protective case that I have my OtterBox and are usually don’t use high definition stuff like that just the basic essentials of texting looking at videos a couple, Luke camera pictures here and there nothing too extreme or over-the-top. Just like you said, there are a lot of variables that these phones may overheat, and the software issue could be a possibility. A titanium issue could be a possibility, and also what you touch on certain topics via Forbes and other sources they sound completely little bit satirical I would say, but nothing that should hinder other consumers to buy the product. Thank you.
My galaxy s21 FE that was 500 bucks brand new charges in 30-40 minutes (from 10 percent to 85 percent) with my wired Samsung super fast charger. It also doesn't get even remotely hot while it charges, and has wireless charging too, which I don't use because it's slower. Charging is one of the most important aspects of a phone, and apple is wayyy behind in that category.
Yes that I can clearly see hence the video… that I can agree with you on that note.. I haven’t personally tried using the USC C-port to charge my iP15PM yet however, there are fast charging cables and plug in ports that can assist efficient yet effective charging but I don’t know about the overheat aspect but imma give it a shot soon enough…
This is the best scenario as well since these phones dont even have cases on them, Imagine how much hotter they get with cases on...That should also be a test.
News flash for you; the temps Lew showed in this video are not even remotely close to “too hot” in the first place. 110F is just warm. My old ass 4930K routinely hits 100C! Now that’s hot, but still not outside of normal operation.

My iPhone 15 Pro only overheated once so far: while I was on the phone for about an hour. While charging it heats but not uncomfortably. That one time I was on the phone, I actually had to tell the other person that I had to go because it was getting too hot. It was very weird. Other days I’ve been in the phone for more than an hour (with the same iPhone) and no heat at all. It was an isolated event.

I have experienced this overheating on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. It easily overheats while charging. Moreover, if I ever use it while charging it becomes burning hot and uncomfortable to hold. It also overheats if I use multiple heavier apps at a time. When it overheats it stops charging until the temperature is back to normal. I can’t believe this is an issue with one of the most expensive phones out there. Shame.

You can tell Lew is new at charging tests bc most UA-camrs that do it normally just plug them all in with the power strip off, then turn it on so that all the phones receive power at the exact same time
This test may be affected by any apps that were open when the phones were turned off and therefore running when they turn on. I always find my phone drains quickly if I have Facebook or Instagram open in the background.
Since the charge curve draws the most power at lower charge rates, would've been better to start off with the highest rated chargers. Additionally, an insulating mat on the table would've eliminated heat dissipation from that table surface. Most people's nightstands are wood or some other insulating material.
I would like to see a video with the MagSafe charger because those have a tendency to heat up (apparently to dissipate heat in a safe way) and maybe the heat transfer for from the charger to the phone will be significant because of the metal on the phone. I can guarantee the MagSafe charger will make these phones hotter.
I think the problem is that people tend to forget is that when you use your phone while it’s charging it’s going to get super hot regardless of what type of power your using, always let your phone charge and not use it, give it a rest! Also, when your phone is charging after you’ve been using it, it’s going to heat up faster because you’re just got done using it so of course the ambient temperature will rise! I’ve personally have never had my phone overheat to some degree where it’s unbearable to hold, but it does get hot and I have the iPhone 14 Pro Max. With the higher lightning charger. Edit: I also forgot to mention that it also depends on the type of case that you’re using or for matter fact it doesn’t matter what type of case,😅when you’re charging your phone and you’re doing everything that I explain on top with a phone case, it could increase the heat of the phone while it’s charging so that’s a big factor in itself having a phone case because it will definitely hit up the phone and not dissipate the heat or release the heat faster something to consider.
100% agree. My iphone 6s was getting so hot while gaming and charging, it literally burned my hand slightly one time. Not visibly burned but i could feel all day that my skin was hurt. That never happened again on any iphone and im using iphones since the release of the first model. Currently on 13 pro max and never had any issues. Biggest problem i had was running out of storage on my 12 pro max so i bought a 13 pro max with the next bigger storage 🤷♂️ my wife is always buying flagship samsung and had any problem you could imagine. 3 times replaced for broken microphones, broken speakers, broken charging ports, camera stopped working, recently she traded her 22 ultra for a flip because it kept crashing and all apps were super slow.

I think that's the problem with cases like this, same with "fast decline of battery health". It will always never be exactly the same circumstance as any other with the same phone or problem. There are just too many variables at play when trying to test it out or to figure out things.
This!! I'm scared of wireless charging. Heat and electronics don't mix

I kinda wish you measured the heat with just the camera recording, and not charging. To see what the temp gets to from just running applications.
Glad you bought this up and talked about it. Seems like others wanted to overlook this issue and talk mostly specs

I have learnt how and what to do to avoid them since.
dude the quality of your videos is insane !! i love it !!
I've gotten over 100° just watching youtube in safari.
I'm considering returning my 15 pro max.
Ive returned mine and im glad i did
If the problem was structural due to the titanium frame, wouldn’t we be seeing the overheating issue in all or most of the pro devices, particularly among power users such as tech reviewers putting the phone through its paces?
Move along people, there’s nothing to see here…
did u really just say with full confidence that 54,4 degrees celcius is not to be considered overheating? that is some next level bullshit right there, but yes i agree that 43 degrees elcius is not that big of a deal when fast charging the phone@@MegaTechpc
@@stranger5783 I was simply pointing out that TJ Max for many Intel processors is over 100C so yes, 53C is hardly something to panic about. It wouldn’t be a great experience on a phone, sure, but the good news is that there is absolutely no evidence that 15 PM’s are getting anywhere near that temp.

Got an iPhone 15 and watching this while it’s charging and getting quite warm
@@TheBlkbrothawhen did " Fight On " school created charging port? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I hearing SC band marching on.
3 to 4 hours? Thats slow as molasses.
Wireless charging is worse than fast charging. It produces more heat and is highly inefficient and can ruin your batteries faster.

Definitely a software issue. My 15 pro max heats up randomly. There are times when I’m doing nothing and it’s not on the charger and it’s hot. This is something my wife for years has said over her iphones, and i agree with her. Its been too hot for years. She usually stays with the basic iphone, and she likes smaller phones so she even got the SE a few months ago because of heat. Still, too hot. This explains why they don't have ultra fast charging.
I just upgraded to the iPhone 15 pro max a couple days ago and they definitely fixed the issue. I decided to keep it on the charger for a while to test this and it only got a bit warmer than my 14. (Btw, just put a case on if it gets too hot)
So it can get even hotter to keep those pesky internals to work harder
Apple definitely seem to be cutting corners in recent years, I hope all these problems generation after generation will make apple improve their processes
I think the charging bricks could make them heat up. Have you considered trying an apple supplied charging Brick? It could be interesting to see how charging bricks works
Exactly
that's what I was thinking use the chargers the manufacturer supplies for the quick charge feature on the phones
these are supported by Apple. There is a charging standard supported, doesn't mean that apples is the one and only charger :)

It was an isolated event.
it is super super hot when charging the iPhone 15 pro max, it is totally not normal..... switch all running APP , WIFI, flight mode , still super super super +++ hot. I bought recently , i extremely dislike /hate this phone. no help from Apple company.
I can only write my feeling here as they don't accept return or change to another phone even within 7 days.
Shame.
Rechargable devices sre not meant for use while charging (esp fast charging)
The recharge shld be auto suspended if u are runing a heavy load on your phone, esp
Similar goes for laptops, pads, etc
Dont use the phone while charging equals no problems, even though, as i stated above, manufacturers cld stop the chsrging during heavy load, they dont, so you shldnt be doing those two things simultaneously until they wisen up to the fact

You can tell Lew is new at charging tests bc most UA-camrs that do it normally just plug them all in with the power strip off, then turn it on so that all the phones receive power at the exact same time

Samsung really has come a long way. S23 ultra is a beast. Can’t wait to see what the 24 ultra offers.
😂
I’m worried since the s24 ultra is rumored to have titanium if that’s what causes it to lack heat dissipation
I lucked out in a way. I purchased the IPhone 15 Pro a couple days after apple put out a software update to fix the overheating issues
Donate it to the homeless in the winter. Sitting around the lithium fire that will never be able to put out.
you missed the most important marker. What is the room temperature you are testing in ? Heat dissipation works from higher temperature to lower.
She always has two flagship phones because one is just not enough. We both use our phones a lot for work, so we need reliable stuff. For me thats one iphone, for her thats two samsung flagship phones 😅
Please stfu… my 14 pro max doesn’t do this.. my s21 ultra doesn’t either. Stop making excuses
The ultra is 45 W max . if he used that it wouldn't heat that much.
I have a 15 pro max, my phone got really warm when I initially transferred all of my data and apps from my previous phone and got everything set up. I’d say i’m an average user although I don’t play any games. No issues of overheating since that first time, and have been using it and charging it like any other phone. We’ll see if that changes. So far seems like a non-issue.
