Sir. You're doing very good job. Your videos are very useful for many people around the world. I'm from Africa, Tanzania East Africa. Real impressed with your teachings. God bless you Sir
OMG there is so much more to column design then what he is providing! This guy should apply some basic load scenarios to show the difference in steel/sizing reinforcement and stirrup size/spacing
I never miss your video..simple and very clear to understand! I have a request sir, please always add video to support your explanation! It will be easier to understand!🙏
Structural design should not be prescriptive. For column design, you didn’t consider : 1. Braced or unbraced column; 2. Column span and column moment generated; 3. Column height and hence its slenderness; 4. Impose live load . Factory is much heavier than residential ;
My house I already have 9" column with 16mm 4 steel bar, cld I have only one stored with roof top slab is strong enough with this column 9" column? Pls explain Tnx
Good day engr. What about for G+1 storey using roofdeck instead of corrugated sheet roof . Is the size of column and dia of steel the same for 2 storey with roof deck? Thank you
If one wants to build a G + 2 building, Can one then start the foundation with the 12x12 inches column size of 8 steel rods 16mm for the ground then use column 12x9 inches with 6 steel rods 4x16mm and 2 x 12mm for the first floor and then finally use 9x9 inches of 4 rods of 12 mm? Just reversing through.
What happens if my constructors did for G+2, 200mm spacing between stirrups in my columns? They didnt do 100mm at endings of the colums. Entire column is with 200mm stirrups. They used 250mmx450mm column, 10 bars 16mm corners, and inner bars 14mm. Thanks!
I got a design for G+2 with no tmt in 12" section all 3+3, 4 16mm and 2 12 mm in the 9" side, will it support torstion load? I studied som and am dumb found at the design
