@GameTechTalk Great channel. Im trying to figure out the best option for an M2 IpadPro 12.9. The BSP G8 Pro seems right at the edge size (279mm v 280mm) - would it fit? I know you've recommended the gamesir g8 /g8+, but the BSP seems like it might fit without having to snap it out of frame, might be a bit sturdier for that purpose. @@GameTechTalk Thanks, I was asking about the all-white controller that you were supposed to review later you showed in the conclusion part of the video.
@@Kodexx00 It is unfortunately. Even I thought it worked on Android to be honest because it certainly connects and reacts just fine… until you start pushing buttons and then everything else is backwards. Weird stuff really.
I definitely am interested in reviews on these controllers. I'm looking for options for my X1. The G8+ doesn't grip enough on the X1for my liking, as I usually play laying on my back. I ordered a D8 Pro and a D9. One of the triggers on the D9 sticks really bad, so I'm fighting with the seller for a replacement. I like the D8 Pro so far thought.
Ohh you are more courageous than me! I don't know that both of these will hold better, or even as well on the X1 but let me know your impressions! I think the G8+ coil system does create a bit of extra pressure on the handheld, but even with that, I don't consider it enough! That was arguably a G8 advantage with a USB-C to "hook" to, I never got scared of whatever it was attached to, to fall on my face. That's as far as I have been willing to go when laying on my back! 😅
@@GameTechTalk The D8 Pro holds my X1 very well. It has a deep grip, where the G8+ isn't quite as deep. Makes me sad because I definitely prefer the G8+.
@doolittle_ i bought a d9 from ali the first day they came out I believe and I can't remember if was the right or left analog trigger was messed up where would get stuck and plastic on plastic grinding. I loved the controller besides that and battery life didn't seem great on mine.
@doolittle_ So I'm having the same thoughts as you when it comes to my x1 which led me to this video and your comment. I have the g8 plus but I doesn't quite hold the way I would like. Are you still enjoying the controller? I'm interested in the d9 and d8 pro
I own a BSP D9 White, looks amazing and has Xbox Xinput Mode, , Dual shock Mode both wirelessly by bluetooth, probably the most complete in this sense, better than the G8 plus , however The problem with the D9 comes with the Rumble motors, the Rumble vibration feeling is really good, but It makes some plástic noises... Maybe the screws are too tight, or ..I do not know what to do to make those noises dessapear It seems that when the rumble motors work, they touch the plástic case of the controllers in some way or something like that... Any solution to fix It???
For the time being, it is definitely the G8+. In the smaller form-factor, it is the Scuf Nomad. But in the tabletop mode, it would have to be the Dualsense Edge, I just don't like attaching those grips to console type controllers, they make for an awkward balance.
I'm using the D6. I've been enjoying using it so far. What worries me is the build quality, I don't know if it's going to last long or not. Also it's a pain to disassemble, like, my finger hurts just to open the outer case to get to the screw holes.
I don't think I'll try the BSP D6 and D7 but I'm probably going to grab the D11 when I'm back. So many models that these guys pump out, it's impressive!
I have a 11' tablet (260mm width). I like these controllers but i wanna a type c connection for better input lag instead bluetooth connection. Do you reccomend any controller? Thanks for the great video!
I may want to double check but the Memo S3 tablet edition might support your tablet's width. If not, the Abxylute S9 and Galileo G8 can both easily be modded, great solutions!
Great Video! Really hope you can try the new EasySMX M15, so far the design look really similar with the G8, i want to know your thoughts about the M15 when you get the product to review it Thanks.
Would anyone know if its possible to get a replacement for the stick cap? I udnerstand they come off and I seem to hae lost one of them. Or would a different brand fit?
I would think so because their system is not unique, but unlike the common caps that we had since original analog sticks, I don't know where you'd find replacements. I would try AliExpress and just type "stick cap replacement" and see what comes up. Best of luck!
@@antoniomariaguerra3997 @Valcrist37 Oh dang, I thought I typed a response and completely forgot to hit send it seems, sorry. So, caps used to be standardized but lately, we're seeing a bunch of different "never seen before" styles and the ones on these controllers, I've never seen anywhere else. If anything, I would try searching on AliExpress by typing the controller name with "stick cap" to see if you get any search results but quite frankly, I doubt it. :( Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Last idea, maybe opening it to see if it is compatible to change the entire cap rather than finding replacement tips, that might be the play here. Good luck!
Thanks for pointing it out, I always do in my reviews but I assume I didn't in this quick overview of the controllers. While BSP didn't get full reviews than, future BSP products definitely will cause I think they have a great balance of feature vs. value. If you have specific questions about one of them, ask away, I'll be happy to answer. Cheers!
@ Thanks. Yeah it’s something not typically listed in controllers specs. I’m not as picky with the face buttons as long as they’re responsive, but I personally like the feel of dpads with conductive rubber over micro or dome switches.
@@karld4737 Say less friend, the D9, D10s and D11s, even N01 have fairly mushy, not too rapid action conductive membrane d-pads. The D8 Pro has micro switches that have a bit of distance travel, which I personally prefer than none. Cheers!
That makes two of us! I'm not sure exactly when GameSir will release that controller, I'm hoping they'll have me review it of course but if anything I read is factual, late August to September seems to be the "when"!

Awesome video! Apparently the little toggle on the side of the D8 Pro (FPS, Game, Racing) is not for gyro, but actually affects the joystick deadzones. I'm still torn between the D8 Pro and the ipega 9777s in the similar price range 😅
@@GameTechTalk oh man, sorry I was misinformed about the 9777s. I thought it was different from the 9777 cause Amazon Canada’s listing mislabelled an older model, so I thought the S version was an updated model. Turns out I’m wrong and it’s the same. So I will trust your prior advice and stay away from it, and will go for the D8 Pro instead 😄 thanks for your help though, and hope you have a great trip!
They just need to keep going and increase the quality and I think they have a solid spot in the telescopic market. That said, as many features as they have, when holding these controllers, it makes me feel like I'm not surprised that you had that situation (sorry to hear btw) and that is in a nutshell what I meant with quality not getting past that line for me.
@@GameTechTalk Agreed, the amount of features it has offers immense amount of value, they just need to get it feel just a bit more, solid, I guess. I usually use the Backbone One for gaming on my iPhone so I wanted something that works for the iPad Mini. It was a lot of trial and error, but I think I've landed on my personal favourite with the G8+. Thanks for your informative and honest reviews!
Please do make a review for the D8 Pro! I've been eyeing that controller for a few and there's barely any reviews of it on youtube besides some unboxing videos. If you could show a joystick deadzone test on the Gamepad tester app I'd appreciate it so so much c:
The D8 Pro does seem to be the more "quality" of the three so definitely can see the interest in a full dedicated review. Thanks for requesting it, I'll make it for sure!
@@bernardinonetto5230 Ouf, quite frankly I have no idea where to direct you but I have two suggestions, number is get a subscription of Apple Arcade and look in there, you are most likely to find a solution there and gamepad support is usually guaranteed with most « landscape orientation » games on Arcade. Second is, in Apple Arcade, Shovel Knight Digital is not a proper platformer per se as it is also roguelike but it does scratch that itch. Cheers!
I like how I can control volume (+ -) on any device the GameSir X-4 Aileron Bluetooth is connected to... But I couldn't find that feature yet on the BsP D8... Also... I have to look for spare sticks since I noticed they popped out with a little force... 🤔
I like the fact these controllers have rich feature sets on a budget but here's the thing Klef, the price delta between entry level, mid-teir and high end is so small as to be negligible imo of course. For manufacturers like this, that's a problem.
Yeah it is, and I didn't go there in the video but in reality, I paid them a bit more, seems like they readjusted the price (that or just the price volatility of AliExpress). That's why at that point I'm hoping they try for a more premium option, they seem extremely capable already as it is! I'm also glad they are pumping out new models, it gives me hope.
If considering ergonomics only, I would say the D9. But I would still choose the D8 Pro over it because it's overall a better controller despite preferring the ergonomics of the D9. Sorry if that causes confusion ahaha!
@GameTechTalk yep ty. I went for a D8 Pro. I've had a bunch of controllers with the sticks vertically in-line with the d-pad/buttons, and I find them super uncomfortable. I need that angled layout. I already have those great Mobapad joycons (HD-something?), I like 'em, and the D8 Pro shape/layout looks practically identical 😄 so I think it's the right one for me. Was tempted by the D9, I think the black&white one looks cool, but I'm not keen on the tiny rubber grips, not much surface area there to grip a tablet :/
I have the D9, but it's a little too small for my hands. It's good, but the ergonomics aren't the best, I wish it were closer to the PS5 controller as opposed to the PS4. However, I will always prefer the PS button layout the most, I am simply waiting for them to release a better, fatter D9, haha. (Also, I hate Shooting V3, it's just a bad app, I wish an updated one would appear, or a new one altogether.)
I currently have the d9 and I'm using it with a tab S7 which is a decent size tablet My hands get pretty fatigued would you recommend the G8 Plus with the mod over this d9?
Easily yes. The D9 is decent ergonomically but it’s no comparison to the G8/G8+. Also. I no engineer but I find the depth of the D9 and tightening not being as strong to not give as pleasant a hold on the Tab S tablets. The G8+ doesn’t go as deep so for something like say the Legion Go, it’s still risky but for Tab S tablets? It provides such a tight grip on them that I find it creates better way distribution.
@@piercetheheavens It wouldn’t move even without, it’s more a question of « transfer of energy » and because the coils on the G8/G8+ are that much stronger, it just gives off a better feeling. But I’m sure the Velcro at least gives a peace of mind that it’ll hold better. Great ingenuity from you!
the only one with the dual shock layout is the D9? Im searching for a model with at least 28 cm of stretch, dual shock layout and vibration, any recomendations?
As far as I can tell, what you are searching for does not currently exist on the market. The closest would be the ELO Vagabond but it doesn't have rumble, it doesn't stretch to 28cm, just about 20cm, it doesn't have the dual shock layout but it does have similar ergonomics. Pretty much the only one pasted the D9 to my knowledge.
You have the ELO Vagabond that has a similar shape but the sticks are symmetrical and it doesn't have cooling. I have a review on my channel, it's a pretty good controller.
Hey i was thinking of getting a new phone controller but im not sure whether to get this or the g8+ I love the design of the white bsp d8 pro and how affordable, but people keep saying the g8+ is so good in terms of quality and controller. Im mainky looking for a controller that has both a great joystick and dpad with great feel and buttons. Maybe you can help me out here, Is the difference between these two really that big? You rated both of these controllers S tier, or u can recommend me smth else?
If "great joystick" is a requirement, the D8 Pro should immediately be eliminated from the discussion, no offense to BSPs but at some point, the price point has got to match the components. The G8+ has great sticks in comparison and also, the difference in quality is also quite noteworthy. The D8 Pro is also S because it does do a lot for what is effectively half the price, but it's not to say that it matches closely the quality of the G8+, it does not.
I would think so but I won’t be able to confirm at the time being sorry. These controllers have so many modes I don’t see how it wouldn’t have a PS mode and as long as it does, the official remote play app works.
The problem was the flat cable that connects the two parts of the controller. All you had to do was connect it the right way and it started working correctly!
@@felcs89 Happy to hear you got it fixed! Sometimes, it's the simplest and most obvious things and it seems like it was, and you figured it out. Cheers!
Well, since you're going emulation where rumble basically doesn't exist, I don't think you can do much better than the Scuf to be honest. Especially if you favor portability, but if you don't mind having something a bit bulkier and way more features, I'd say overall that the G8+ remains the best choice all-around.
Sure I could, however it'll have to wait, I already have left my home and won't be back for a little over 2 weeks but I could definitely get that information once I am back. Cheers!
I bought a Bsp d8 pro controller and it was working normally, but I think I pressed something and now it only works with the gyroscope regardless of the device I connect. Do you know if there is any combination of commands that I can press to return to normal?
Funny enough, I literally had the manual right behind me when I saw your comment so lucky you. Hold T for 8 seconds, the controller will vibrate. 1st is right stick gyro, 2nd mode is left stick gyro, 3rd mode should shut the feature. Cheers!
@@GameTechTalkI tried these manual commands and it vibrated 3 times but it still continued the same way and I also tried restarting through the hole behind the control but it remained the same. But thanks anyway.
Thanks for your help man, it turned out that in the end it was just a problem with the software and in the application I found a restore button to the factory version and it worked again, but thanks anyway
None of the BSPs, not without some type of alteration which I would not know about for these controllers. You would need a controller that supports modding to support large tablets like the Galileo G8 or G8+ or the "not yet released" Abxylute S9. Cheers!
It is the Scuf Nomad, really solid product for anyone looking for a "small form-factor" iPhone controller. So it's not for everyone but for the ones for who it is for? Ouf, it's some seriously good stuff!
Yup, as @Stopalkec said (thanks for the assist bud!). With that said, it's decent but the responsiveness of the keys are not as great as the feel is. Still, it's a very decent d-pad and better than what is on the G8/G8+ for me personally, as an example.
@@Unlucky1776 Quite good actually. I find the switches stick a little bit but nothing too crazy, they are overall very rapid and with low travel. Nice audio response too if you don't mind clicky buttons. I think for single input commands, and just commands in general, it's a pretty "up there" D-pad, I'd recommend it less for platformers and games like Contra. But fighters, Tetris, I think you'd like it quite a lot if being honest.
@@GameTechTalk ok thanks so much for all the help. You're really underrated just because of that lol. I'm gonna order one asap so thanks. Hope you have a good day/evening
I dont like the D9 its terrible to hold the grips are akwardly low, I ordered the D10 without cooling since I only use it for streaming, Im happy with my G8 plus but I think its time for a change maybe something lighter for my tab s9
Yeah I get what you mean, the D9 is very specific and that grip design is probably going to be a no-go for many people, that said, I really like it myself and hope you have a blast with the D10!
For me the bsp d9 had issues I never faced in the bsp d8 but at least it lasts about 2 month before being unusable when I stretch the bsp d9 half of the controller is not working and if not stretched it work normally also all of them the battery life is a major weakness
Seems like you have loose connections and that stretching it too wide makes those connections undone! Thanks for sharing your experience though I'm sorry to hear it's not ideal. That speaks to what I was implying with quality. Lots of people have commented their experience and it seems to be an identifiable issue with these products. Thanks for watching!
Hmm that’s a bit of a tough one but I think overall I’d give it to the BSP-D8 Pro for me personally. Like, X2s wins when it comes to just quality but BSP-D8 Pro definitely enters that territory where its features just trumps over the gap in quality, despite definitely having one present.
V3? The Minisforum? Make sure to try to fire the different modes from the BSP D10, refer to your manual to know how to change modes, you have a Switch one, a Xbox X-input one, a PS Mode, not everyone will work for every device. Cheers

For information, I'm using tablet 11 inch. Do you have any suggestion? Or literaly the option is only this one😅 (BSP Telescopic Controller)? Please your reply😁
The Memo S3 tablet version might just fit your tablet. It will heavily depend on what type of form-factor that it is (your tablet). Look up the width of your tablet and the maximum range of the Memo S3 Tablet version. It's a great solution if it fits! Otherwise, any G8 can be modded, you don't have to buy it pre-modded.

@@faisalcsat3301 The mod is quite easy if being honest. In fact, there are videos that show how to mod it without even have to snip the plastic standoffs.
When each controllers are introduced, it's written on the little description that appears, if I recall by heart, up to 289mm on the D8 Pro, 280mm on the D9 and 260mm on the D10s.
@@gdeden9961 The X2s is a fine controller but it's becoming quite simple by the market's standard. The BSP D8 Pro is one I would choose over the X2s overall.
I was about to just say no because I thought you asked about the Ultra for a second... The Plus... It should, by like a such a small amoung though. The width of the S9+ is 285mm, the maximum width of the space on the D8 Pro is 289mm. So technically, it's gonna be a tight insert from the top, might not even be able to slot it in from the front, but it definitely will sit in it one way or another.

It should be on by default but it is possible that the controller currently has rumble all the way down. You should have the instruction in the manual but off the top of my head, I think while holding the turbo button, you want to hold the left stick up and you'll feel rumble, that's to change the intensity.
Hello, I like your work, even though I’m from Russia, I watch you, I’m interested in the Yuzu theme, please help me choose a gamepad, which is better, bsp 10s or jk02?
Hey!! Спасибо за просмотр! (Tks Google Translate 😅) I have not tested the JK02 but I would still recommend the BSP D10s. The reasons are simple, one, I am familiar with the BSP D10s and it is actually quite good and two, BSP is extremely rapidly building an impressive track record for themselves, the more one work, the more one learns. I trust BSP to have learned how to do a better product much quicker, no offense to the JK02. For me, the JK02 ressembles a controller I have that I never reviewed, the Mocute 062. The quality in comparison with the BSP is huge, so I may be judging from appearance as this is all I have to go with but yeah, for me, D10s for sure. I hope this helps, cheers!
E eu não sei português ahahah! Esperançosamente, havia legendas para ajudar no vídeo! Obrigado pelo envolvimento (e obrigado ao Google Tradutor por nos ajudar a comunicar!)
I bought the D8 model just because I found the other two to be extremely ugly and fake looking. And given what I’ve heard people say about it compared to the others, the D8 is their highest quality one
Yup, the D8 Pro is definitely the best controller they have put out so far and they are looking to release a new one in early 2025 that should surpass it. It's like a Razer Kishi Ultra meets the ROG Tessen, looks quite interesting!
Unfortunately, I do not own the 9777 but I can say the D8 Pro, especially when consider price, is a pretty viable solution, especially if you want to try this way of gaming and to see if that's for you at all. Basically, it's a great "entry point" for telescopic gaming as far as I am concerned.

The D8 Pro particularly does it for me. Funny enough because blue and purple are definitely my go-to colors but that white and orange "creamsicle" style packs a lot of visual punch!
which controller that you've at the end of the video 20:06?
The white and orange is the BSP-D8 Pro. The blue and white is the BSP-D9. The all black with a silver backing is the BSP-D10s.
@@GameTechTalk Thanks, I was asking about the all-white controller that you were supposed to review later you showed in the conclusion part of the video.
@@Kodexx00 Ahahaha my bad! It is the Scuf Nomad, the review should be out shortly.
@GameTechTalk thank you, that looks bad A$$ but isn't it only available for IOS? I envy Iphone owners 😄
@@doolittle_ Ahh ok I had accounted for the depth, thanks for pointing it out. I might give that a try then! Cheers :)
I own a BSP D9 White, looks amazing and has Xbox Xinput Mode, , Dual shock Mode both wirelessly by bluetooth, probably the most complete in this sense, better than the G8 plus , however
The problem with the D9 comes with the Rumble motors, the Rumble vibration feeling is really good, but It makes some plástic noises...
Maybe the screws are too tight, or ..I do not know what to do to make those noises dessapear
It seems that when the rumble motors work, they touch the plástic case of the controllers in some way or something like that...
Any solution to fix It???
Other than opening and having a solution to dampen the vibrations, I wouldn't have any other ideas sorry. I hope you're doing good Andrew!
In your opinion whats the best mobile phone controller you've used?
@GameTechTalk memo s3 supports 273mm width. So i think that i have decided what to buy

I have the same problem, help please!
Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Last idea, maybe opening it to see if it is compatible to change the entire cap rather than finding replacement tips, that might be the play here. Good luck!
Upvote for discussing the face button and dpad type because I preferred conductive rubber membrane and it’s never discussed in the advertisements.
Cheers!
Which one is the most comfortable in hands?
D9 for me personally. But truthfully, the ergonomic is something that this brand seems to do well overall!
Man, I can't wait to see the x3 aurora review.
That makes two of us! I'm not sure exactly when GameSir will release that controller, I'm hoping they'll have me review it of course but if anything I read is factual, late August to September seems to be the "when"!

@@GameTechTalk ha I travel with my Odin 2, and Asus Ally inside my Laptop bag any time I go anywhere. My Laptop just stays home now, also I just realized I spelt bringing wrong lol.
Awesome video! Apparently the little toggle on the side of the D8 Pro (FPS, Game, Racing) is not for gyro, but actually affects the joystick deadzones. I'm still torn between the D8 Pro and the ipega 9777s in the similar price range 😅
Ahh that actually makes sense. Upon my return, I’ll probably grab the iPega 9777s. Let me know your thoughts if you beat me to it! 😊
I wanted to like the BSP D9, but one of the triggers is now sticky. I decided to get that G8+ based on your review. Yup, such a big quality jump.

🤔
Oh good to know! Yeah that volume is not one every controller have but it's nice when it's there.
@@GameTechTalk Indeed...
😎
I like the fact these controllers have rich feature sets on a budget but here's the thing Klef, the price delta between entry level, mid-teir and high end is so small as to be negligible imo of course. For manufacturers like this, that's a problem.
Yeah it is, and I didn't go there in the video but in reality, I paid them a bit more, seems like they readjusted the price (that or just the price volatility of AliExpress). That's why at that point I'm hoping they try for a more premium option, they seem extremely capable already as it is! I'm also glad they are pumping out new models, it gives me hope.
I just ordered the D11 it looks like the G8 so hopefully the quality isnt too bad lol
It looks decent, I'm gonna grab one when I'm back!
@@GameTechTalk Sounds good I'll be looking forward to that review
Which ergonomics do you prefer between the D8 Pro and the D9?
@@VanBurenPhilips Yeah, it does feel more flimsy, definitely a fair concern that you had.
Yup, ShootingPlus V3 was the app that iPega controllers would also utilize... I just have bad memories from that app.
@@GameTechTalk I've added two squares of Velcro to keep the tablet in place. Very secure and it doesn't move.
Are there other controllers in the shape of the D9 but better? Like with cooling or less lag?
You have the ELO Vagabond that has a similar shape but the sticks are symmetrical and it doesn't have cooling. I have a review on my channel, it's a pretty good controller.
@@GameTechTalk literally watching it right now lmao. Thank you for letting us know these things exist.
Hey i was thinking of getting a new phone controller but im not sure whether to get this or the g8+
I love the design of the white bsp d8 pro and how affordable, but people keep saying the g8+ is so good in terms of quality and controller.
Does the bsp d9 work with the official remote play app on android?
I would think so but I won’t be able to confirm at the time being sorry. These controllers have so many modes I don’t see how it wouldn’t have a PS mode and as long as it does, the official remote play app works.
So, which is better betwen d8 pro y d10s

Hello my friend! My D8 pro left stick only goes up and down, do you have any solution?
Have you tried looking in the app to see if the buttons respond? I believe the app for BSP controllers is ShootingPlus V3.
@GameTechTalk Even in the app the stick didnt work. I guess my unit is faulty. Thanks for the answer!
The problem was the flat cable that connects the two parts of the controller. All you had to do was connect it the right way and it started working correctly!
@@felcs89 Happy to hear you got it fixed! Sometimes, it's the simplest and most obvious things and it seems like it was, and you figured it out. Cheers!

Well, since you're going emulation where rumble basically doesn't exist, I don't think you can do much better than the Scuf to be honest. which joypad id compatible with tab s9 ultra 14inch ?
None of the BSPs, not without some type of alteration which I would not know about for these controllers. You would need a controller that supports modding to support large tablets like the Galileo G8 or G8+ or the "not yet released" Abxylute S9. Cheers!
What’s the name of that controller that you’ll be reviewing in a week or two?

Whats the dpad type on the d8 pro? Membrane or microswitch??
He said they are microswitches.
Yup, as @Stopalkec said (thanks for the assist bud!). With that said, it's decent but the responsiveness of the keys are not as great as the feel is. Still, it's a very decent d-pad and better than what is on the G8/G8+ for me personally, as an example.
@@GameTechTalk how are they for games where you kinda need fastish and precisish button presses? (Mostly talking Abt Tetris.)
@@Unlucky1776 Quite good actually. I find the switches stick a little bit but nothing too crazy, they are overall very rapid and with low travel. Seems like you have loose connections and that stretching it too wide makes those connections undone! Thanks for sharing your experience though I'm sorry to hear it's not ideal.

The width of the S9+ is 285mm, the maximum width of the space on the D8 Pro is 289mm. How do you turn on the rumble on the D9?
It should be on by default but it is possible that the controller currently has rumble all the way down. Hey!! Спасибо за просмотр! (Tks Google Translate 😅)
I have not tested the JK02 but I would still recommend the BSP D10s.

D8 pro vs ipega pg-9777
Which one is better ?
Unfortunately, I do not own the 9777 but I can say the D8 Pro, especially when consider price, is a pretty viable solution, especially if you want to try this way of gaming and to see if that's for you at all.
Basically, it's a great "entry point" for telescopic gaming as far as I am concerned.
