That machine is SO beautiful!! I absolutely love those retro IH graphics and paint! Grew up with the 1400 series on the farm as well as the old school 503's! What a fantastic throwback idea!!
That is probably the prettiest combine on the market today always loved the ih color scheme, family friend has a couple of early 80s 1460s and newer model which I haven't had a look at yet but hes been ih since birth . They are awesome machines
They should definitely bring back this paint scheme permanently!
That's one of the sharpest looking combines out their love the retro colors
I think they're going in the right Direction with their paint schemes I love watching those big combines roll
Nostalgia is powerful. Things look better looking back. Seems like it was all good times when the IHC axial flow combines were the big new machines. If I was in the market for a new combine I would buy one of these retro versions in a heartbeat.
I love all the classic colors most especially the IH. My poppa was a parts man at the local IH dealership located on the edge of town at Hutchinson KS.right where farm country literally started. I remember visiting the dealership from time to time seeing all the tractors, combines an other equipment that was for sale or brought in for repair. I also remember seeing and very gently handling the toy farm equipment they also sold there. We didn't have a lot but we didn't know it and we didn't care. Oh man the good old days.
My family farmed with Oliver during the days of IH as one company but today we run all Case IH equipment. We have a 2016 case ih 7140 it is our second one and so far it is my favorite combine we’ve had. The adjustable spout works really nice for the grain cart and dumping directly onto the semi.
BigTractorPower,
Thanks for all of your videos. I’m not a farmer but I’ve always been enamored with farm equipment and your videos give great footage of machinery working the fields, technical specs, history and information on how they work. Your channel is perfect for me, the armchair farmer.
This brings up a video I’d like to see (if you haven’t already covered it in a previous video). Could you do a video on the difference between an Axial flow and transverse flow combine and how they are different?
Thank you again for all of the hard work you do gathering and editing the footage!
I have a 1420 combine and is a awesome combine. I am a John deere man but when we needed a bigger combine from the old 7300 white combine my brother in law suggested a 1420 that was at a auction in 1992 we took him up on it. We bought it and was a excellent buy . The rotary combine does a way better job than the the old John deere combines in its time. I think they should still be that color . Love your videos Jason 👍🚜
I love the throwback IH paint scheme. My local Case IH dealer has one of these sitting on the lot. They’re a real pretty machine in person. Looks like a great day to harvest wheat. Nice video BTP!
Very Good video! Brings back memories! I worked at the plant that built the 1440, 1460 and 1480 machines back in the late 70's
and early 80's. At the time I think 4,000 employees worked at the East Moline IH Plant, now the building doesn't even exist.
Loved the retro colors!
Sounds like the Rockwell axle plant in Newark Ohio
That retro color looks good. Those Draper heads are amazing. Mabe Deere should put the Titan paint scheme on some of theirs.
Love the retro colours, tractors should follow suit
Same here. Reminds me of the 1440's my grandpa used to run.
I couldn't tell what it was, but I just knew something about it reminded me of the classic IH. That's why I clicked on this
Axial flow was game changer and 1600 series I loved those combines.
I think they should try this design with the tractors as well
310 magnum as a 1466 76
They might come up on 50 years or some milestone
Bernie Schoep no
I agree it would be cool to see some new tractors sporting the old ih paint especially the magnum series
The comment is already the top liked comment for a reason, come on now caseih, you know there's plenty of people who want to see some tractors lose the case and keep the IH
Our father buy a ih 1420 in 1986 , we sold it for case ih 2166 in 2006 and in 2019 we buy a 5140 with the xflow cleaning system ; in Europe the ih paint not available (and we try to have it at the sima 2019 in Paris ) For us in south of France it 's a good combine with 6 row for corn and some sunflower ,and 6.1 m header for whaet ,colza (winter canola ) , faba beans or soybean .Thanks for this good video .
In 1986, i was in Sedley Sask driving 1480 and 1680 combines. Lentils, wheat, canary seed, ...
Brings back memories.
THE best looking combine on the market today. Used to run a 1480 back in the day.
Very cool. I want to find a 1480 to film and feature here on BTP.
I like the paint job. I think IH has about the best combine made.
Always love your posts and watching the world's best farmers at work.
Love that IH logo on the side!
I'm not a red guy but this combine is really sharp!! Thanks for sharing this Jason!! 👍👍
If it’s a BTP video, you know it’s good. Another great one with all the information you could want and more. Thanks again for sharing and making such quality video.
That big IH on the side just made my day!!
We ran a 78' model 1440 a on our farm. That was a sweet running machine. Yes to the retro look machines. The tractors could be next in line.
That thing is a beast, i grew up combining with a john deer 95 and was just happy it had a cab on it
I grew up watching a 95EB with a cab harvesting wheat, oats, kidney beans and corn. It had a 3 row corn head. I always liked the all yellow cab.
@@bigtractorpower We farmed our farm and my grandpas and he actualley had a john deer 55 that didn't have the cab but he bought it brand new and used that for almost 30 years
The retro look is awesome! I would like to see more of it👍😁
Thank you for posting👍
I wish Case/IH would go back to this color scheme. Great looking combine.
Looks mint , takes me back to a kid seeing the ih tractors etc round where we lived , greetings from Northern Ireland 🇬🇧🇬🇧
I like that retro look
😁👍
We just bought a 7150 retro this year can’t wait to use it traded in our gleaner r66
This must be the most beautiful combine in production atm
I love the retro decals and paint and would love to see New Holland call back to some of the old Ford tractors kinda like what they did with the Boomer Jubilee tractors
They have , it's an option , look up the channel grassmen , they had one for charity a couple years back and had it done old ford couloirs , white roof etc , and New Holland made it an option on those tractors I think
@@theghostofcornpop4175 i saw some of the old ford models made as new hollands in a video from india. I was surprised because they sold the rights and i believe they are still made to a company as farmtrac.
Great videos man, love watching big machines out in wheat
I always loved the 2388. Such a good simple machine.
This is what made them famous. No one thinks of “j whatever case” when you think of equipment...you think of old school black striped IH. If they paint them all retro they will double their sales no doubt
What a stupid comment. Double their sales because of a paint job? Lol. You honestly think farmers' equipment decisions are that trivial?
@@jfdb59 I agree
I like this Classic IH colors paintings, it reminds me of the same color paintings on the IH Cotton Pickers I had back in the 80's. - Fits better!!
Love the retro look! More off it I hope in the future.
👍👍
I agree they should make some Magnums in the old school colors 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 as always BTP great video
Loving vid BTP👍👍I can fill rest of story, as Australian CaseIH decided to do one off for release of 150 series at Agquip field days in NSW which was huge hit, then USA CaseIH it make it standard. I got big shock, surprise when I saw been trucked to Agquip, got photos of this combine on the truck. I wish CaseIH would do say scheme for bigger 250 series, even if optional. Gleaner should do retro paint scheme, even NH or Claas.
I love the new paint scheme and decals. I have the toy 7150 combine. We run a Case IH 2388 combine. Great video
😁👍👍. I have the 7150 in my collection as well.
I think it’s fantastic the colour scheme on the combine but when I was a kid my dad worked at a case dealership and I remember black and white on their tractors I’d like to see that back again
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching. It is fun filming and sharing these machines.
Great video great to see these big machines in action and to see the retro paint and IHC logo. Maybe I am biased but IHC hada great paint scheme and logo and striping.😎
Love the retro color scheme. Would be nice if they would offer the tractors in the European color scheme for the late 1970's tractors, all red chassis, white wheels, roof and the white stripe and front side panel. That would be something.
I like the IH on the combine !
It was a cool paint feature for the 2019 150 series combines to get the retro IH look.
We’ve just bought a case 2366. I like the retro colors on the 150 series.
Congrats on the 2366. Nice combine.
Our farm used new holland TR70s then upgraded to an IH 1480 and now we’re up to a case IH 2188. I’d love to see a modernized 2+2,new engine, modern cab and body, still articulate in front of the cab.
Ran IH, combines,915,1440.Good combines.
👍👍. I filmed an 815 but I sure would like to find a good 915 to feature.
I think they should do this design on literally all their equipment.
It would be neat to see. They have a white roof Farmall 140A available in South America. Maybe they will do more.
I would love to see all the bigger units in action...great video
We had a 1420 growing up. Now are running a 2366 axial flow
Classic looks great, our first combine was a used 1440 then a used 2144 now we have a 2010 5088 we bought new.
Very nice.
Love the paint scheme!
Nice combine
The IH edition is a stand out. It was neat the 150 series on 2019 offered this paint scheme.
Started combining with 6ft Dearborn pull type
Then went to a 203 International
My boys run the farm now
They had IH 1660
2166
7230
Now bought a new 7250
Waiting on delivery for fall harvest
30 ft platform
8 row folding corn head
Alot has changed over the decades
Classic IH Design... 😍😍😍👍
Wow that is one happy farmer .
It would be awesome if AGCO did a special throwback series. Allis, Oliver, MM, Cockshutt, White. All the same tractor, just your choice of color/brand.
I like the look. It really is the best machine as far as simplicity and durability. The only problem I had was the tiny bushings on the sieve arms. They need to put bigger bushings in them. Also the shaker arm located behind the clean grain elevator needs to be moved or move the elevator out 6 inches so you can replace the shaker bearing easier. Those bearings are a joke but if they would make them easier to get to that would make it the best combine on the entire planet
I like the paint design from back in the day, of course we are still using 2 combines from back in the day, the 1460 and 1480 which are still going strong!
Very cool. I hope to film a 1480 someday to feature. One very cool combine.
Great info , cheers
Thank you for watching.
Great channel!
Thank you for watching.
First combine I ever rode in looked like one of those. Almost 30 years ago.
1480 when I was 3
Amazing! Case is the best😉
Thank you for watching.
Looks sharp👌🏻 Love the white rims👌🏻
My grandpa had a 1440 combine back in the day. We had a 1440 4wd at one time too.
Roll that wheat picking footage 😉✌✌👋
Special numbers from 1977 when the first red iH axial flow combines was introduced
Looks like qite some debris in the grain tank? The paint scheme and logo are gorgeous. That should be the 'case' with more IH machines. :)
My dad first one was a 1420 then 1440 all the to the 1460 and 1480 and always love the color I wish they would go back to the old color on all of it
Great video!! No Axial Flow combine here. I'm in the market for any red combine, though. Anything from a 1480 on back to an early IHC galvanized machine would do the trick.
I would like to see the classic J.I.Case colors of Flambeau Red and Desert Sand . It’s great to see classic iron and colors but no one has done any Eagle and Globe themes.
Rivierstad me to like a white and power red magnum
More Massey Ferguson combines, please. Also you have a video of a new Holland t6070 2 wheel drive tractor more video of that tractor and information about it. Any tractor in Ireland over 100 hp would be 4 wheel drive and many under 100 hp are also 4 wheel drive
we like the moveable spout on the unload auger! compensates if the wagon operator is novice
It sure does help direct the flow of grain.
MF should start using Sunshine Harvester logos again in Australia. Sunshine developed the first production model self propelled header ( Aussie for combine) and are not given as much credit as they should be. Also I think the retro paint scheme is awesome and should be put on all axial flow machines
Weird how a paint color and a change in decals is so important but I’ll be the first to say I’d change every model back to the retro look!!! That thing looks like a totally different machine. Bet sales would go back up
Vem gravar um vídeo aq no Brasil da super colheita
that's some good wheat right there 85 to 105 bu acre
👍👍
We are currently shopping for an 88 or 20 series to replace our Gleaner
My aunt work at the CNH headquarters in Racine,Wisconsin
What kind of wheat is being harvested and what is its end use?
Good video.
Are all the new combines gonna be that paint scheme or is it a special order? I'd say the bin extensions and ladder should be red instead of black.
que lindas maquinas👏👏👏👍👍🚜🚜🚜🚜🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Love the retro colors.. Looks so sharp!! We still run an international 615 haha
I have heard that this bid axial combines throw a lot wheat out the back .Not sure if they can be set up for better results or not
We have a 1660, still running strong in Denmark.
Very cool. Nice combine.
We run a 6130. I'm not so worried about the paint scheme as I am about the performance.
Yeah i kinda wondered when you said 30ft header it looked a bit anorexic, the FD75 is a 35ft. love the retro combine colours
PIPER DOUG FD75 is a sires not size it gose from 30-45 feet the 75 has nothing to do with size
I had asked you two videos back if you see in the future 1000 bushel combines in the future
I am sorry I missed your question. Wheat harvest is extra busy filming and trying to post a video each day. I don’t doubt that we will see combines with a 1,000 bu capacity. In 1968 an International an International 503 combine at 110 bu with a 6 row corn head was huge. In 1979 a Gleaner N7 at 330 bu with a 12 row corn head was massive. In 2005 a 360 bu Claas 595R with a 16 row corn head was the worlds largest combine. Today in 2020 Claas builds the 510 bu. 8800 which can handle an 18 row 30 inch corn head. In just over 50 years combines reached 500 plus bu. 1,000 will most likely happen in less than 50 years.
Not a Case fan but I think the red & white paint scheme looks a lot better than the red & silver paint scheme
Maybe all the major manufacturers could paint at least one series of machine in their original colors like the old Deere's with yellow tops or blue and white new hollands
We're running a 2388 bought it new in 1999
My family has a 1640 axial flow and a 2144 axial flow combine
The only 3 left of the Original Axial Flow Combines you have yet to film are a 1470, 1480, and 1482.
You know your BTP. I am on a mission to find a 1480. Hopefully an opportunity comes up for a 1470 and 1482. Technically there is a 1482 on BTP at ua-cam.com/video/A0NJA3QlutA/v-deo.html
I like the look of the retro paint scheme if the auger was white would look even better.
From 1969 to 1971 the IH 815 and 915 had white unloading augers. In 1972 they switched to red. I would like to find one of the early 15 series to film.
@@bigtractorpower Thanks for that did not know
I'd love to see ford make the 4000 thru 9000 series tractor
I wish case ih would paint there their tractors. Like old j.i. case colors power red, and desert sunset.
