I have owned a few great OG Way Huge pedals. The dunlops are great budget recreations, but they really sound nothing like the newer ones (even w varied parts tolerances considered). Great Comparison! Also , when the Mkii came out tripps blatantly said its a modified version of the OG circuit, not that thats good or bad. It just is.
One of the relatively few examples where a circuit was improved to offer more clarity ,headroom, and harmonic content, instead of just trying to get on with cheaper or more easily sourced components. And the new smalls version beats them both. Go figure, - the least expensive is the best.
I bought the MK2 on a whim at the Orlando guitar show in January. So glad I did. Sounds rad through my AC-15.
Great comparison! Just got an MK1 Red Llama and it’s great. These old Way Huge pedals just have a mojo the Dunlop ones lack!
The old one sounds "warmer" to me. New one is good in a brighter, nosier way. Both good.
Listening again...guess I like the old one a bit more.

New one has more treble (here) but this probably is due to part tolerance ...like with EVERY pedal, so don't freak out.
Yep, variations heard here would exist between two old models or two new ones. They were astonishingly faithful in replicating the design and sound.
I'm still not into stacking OD pedals, but those Lammas just sing together :)
I think the mkii is better. has way more clarity, it’s unique
The MKIII that just came out can do what both these do and more, nevermind the fact that it's smaller
Thanks for the heads up, I will have to check it out
Can't believe they have stopped making them AGAIN.
Nice comparison!
I prefer the MK2 reissue.

Sound close enough to each other in my opinion, I think I'll wait for the way huge smalls limited edition red llama and then I'll buy one. :)
your time has come
