Exactly. In the comic, the two of them basically level anyplace they’re fighting. Taking it out to space makes complete sense if you don’t want anyone else killed.

Superman never had laser vision. His heat vision is actually fire, it's just thin so it looks like lasers. Notice how they never call it "laser vision", and the fact that he has ice breath too makes him have both fire and ice powers, which I think is the point.

I feel like this final season is where Tyler Hoechlin is truly gonna cement his legacy as Superman. I’ve loved his portrayal of the Man of Steel ever since his first appearance on Supergirl back in 2016. Tyler embodies everything that makes Clark Kent/Superman an essential superhero.
From the Arrowverse to Superman & Lois, Tyler has just grown from strength-to-strength and the same can be said for Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane. Having watched this clip, I’m all the more hyped for Season 4 now.
He’s already cemented it for me! He’s the best post-Reeve live action Superman ever.
He and Bitsie and the rest of the cast are going to CRUSH it in this final season!

No offense to the s for, but this is a show that has like 650,000 people watching it. Not much of a legacy to cement.
@@peterp2153 When Tyler Hoechlin first took on the role of Superman in 2016, Arrowverse shows on the CW were comfortably averaging millions of viewers at the height of their popularity. Superman & Lois’s first season also attracted millions of viewers in the US and U.K.
Granted, general viewership may have declined for these DC TV shows, but Tyler’s Superman still has a strong fan base and he’s had an eight year run in the role. He has a legacy as much as any other Superman actor does.

He and Lois have GREAT Chemistry together! Still a Smallville and Christopher Reeve Fan. You're not supposed to take this character too seriously or it becomes a depressing show. Still, the lessons Clark teaches his sons are what having a Great Father is all about.

I love how there is no dialogue at all throughout this fight and you know what hes feeling every single second the fight lasts. It's always nice to just enjoy the action without having to have it explained to us every punch. And that music, it's literally letting you a story on its own it's that good

Superman has killed him multiple times by the looks of it and Doomsday keeps comimg back different more comic accurate and stronger crazy this might be the best Superman fight to date but will have to see the rest first

I've been a fan of superman since 1978 and I gotta say this portrayal of superman is the 2nd best ever and that's saying something
REMINDER that this series is NOT on a streamer budget (AppleTV, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+, etc) .... They are on the normal tv ordinary budget and still they were able to achieve this level of impressiveness on a meager budget.
Puts BvS to absolute shame.
Tyler makes you feel Clark’s anxiety and yes, even fear at fighting this thing. Cavill just looks like nothing would scare him at all.
Clark has the right idea towards the end. The only way to kill Doomsday is to destroy every single cell of it's being before it can adapt and regenerate. Incinerating him with his solar flare ability might do the trick, but it would most certainly kill Clark since it would drain him of all his power and leave him not enough to heal. Even getting him to a yellow sun might not save him in time.

In order for Doomsday to get Perfect Cell'd, Supes would need to be in a better condition then what was shown here. That way, he might have a chance to fully incinerate him with a full blast of his laser eyes.
He’s been able to resurrect from dust in the comics after being completely disintegrated by Imperiex with the power of the Big Bang. But Comics Doomsday is just way too op and at that point cannot be killed by anything. Just way too op to bring into live action without making Superman absurdly op as well which had universal level feats at that point too lol
Just get Doomsday close to the sun. It strengthens Supes and should kill/weaken Bizarro/Doomsday. That, or hit him with X Kryptonite.

I love Cavill as Superman and it sucks that WB never gave him a chance to the Superman that he could have been. Tyler Hoechlin has made HIS Superman and Clark so good. Reeves, Cavill, and Hoechlin are my Supermen. Tim Daly as the voice of Superman.

I just wish that season 4 of Superman & Lois would have more episodes than just 10 episodes.
Here's the thing -- it's embarrasing, downright embarrassing that this better captured Superman vs Doomsday than the Batman v Superman movie. This really made Superman look heroic, determined, and in many cases, outclassed, even with just a fraction of the budget. And it was only four minutes. Again, it's just embarrassing that WB is being outclassed by CW with this show. But huge props to the special effects team and the action director for making the most with very little and giving fans a very hard-hitting fight between these two.
This is definitely going to be the most intense fight between Superman and Doomsday🩸

@@langadube9611 Superman: Doomsday the one that started off the current string of DC animated movies is the one to beat. It's something like a solid 6 minute slugfest. Not just constantly punching each other far away/through paper buildings. It also ends the proper way, where Superman eventually kills Doomsday then succumbs to exhaustion.
The Death of Superman 1/2 had a pretty meh fight. Superman sees that Doomsday has soloed the league, Wonder woman literally tells him to go all out don't hold back, and he tries several stunts to restrain him then some kamahamahe powerup dash nonsense.
The whole point of Doomsday is that he is a throwaway somewhat uninteresting (motivation wise) villain that can simply absolutely brawl Kal to death. Something not even Darkseid can consistently do.
This fight in Superman/Lois actually does a lot better than the film with dozens of times it's budget. The CG can look a little action figurey but considering this is a CW TV show it's absolutely amazing and captures the brutality of what Doomsday can put Clark through.
@milofah what? Death of superman part 1 was way better than superman doomsday. It had significantly better fight choreography and showed Clark still trying to save as many people as he could. Superman getting stabbed is a lot more impact full than him just dying of exhaustion
@@elijahlee3610 it doesn’t really have a huge amount of fighting. It has a lot of punching through building. Using steel wires to try and restrain something that decked Diana a moment ago a lot of stunts. Superman doomsday was a blow for blow brawl that took superman to his limits.
You might prefer the stabbing but that isn’t what happened in the comics. The whole point of doomsday is that he is physically kals match and even superior. The first thing other than darkseid that’s sole back story is they can deck Clark to death. The notion that superman could be exhausted and could succumb to it after an entire day of fighting. The thought anyone could fight supes for hours pushing him to exhaustion was completely shocking. Getting stabbed isn’t really we’ve seen him injured before.
Superman vs Doomsday is always his scariest and most intense fight. Darkseid never comes close.
I think it's mainly because, Darkseid could be reasoned with. Where as Doomsday is a War beast that can't be.

A good Superman vs a Superman that lost his way. I also like that in Season 3 Lois fight for her life is cancer and this Bizarro Doomsday is literally Superman putting all he has into it. This Superman from the Bizarro world is also a tragedy in itself he let fame tear his family apart and fell victim to bein a pawn for Lex Luthor. What a said excuse of a Superman variant to have fallen so far the difference between these Clarks is amazing.

Hurt and dazed, seeing the deadly threat charging him, but gathering himself again to face it with everything he's got, is just so Superman.
In season 2, remember when Bizarro was breaking through from under ground? And when he finally surfaced he had the same suit that Doomsday had from the comics? I was so stoked, and then slightly disappointed to find out it was not Doomsday.
But then in S3, in a round about way, it turned out it WAS Doomsday.
That cannot have been an accident. They planned this since season 2. THAT’S the thoughtfulness and respect Superman deserves from his writers.

We are lucky that these 3 seasons are likely to be great, better than the whole arrowverse aside from Stargirl. If this show was sadly allowed to continue for probably 7 or 8 more seasons, it probably would have gone downhill like the other CW DC live action shows, aside from Stargirl again

I really adore this fight because it is Clark's greatest battle yet and he had been through some stuff already and he is already an experienced Superman. The fact that the fight starts immediately after Lois' recovery from cancer is brilliant. From Lois' greatest battle to Clark's. This is why this fight is so much better than the BvS version

Watching this show from season 1 to now, to my opinion it’s one of the best CW shows out of all of them, the visual effects in it and type of specific cameras they used throughout the seasons made this show look more like one of the expensive marvel tv shows and also the stories through out the series that involved the families on the show makes it family oriented as well which is something I enjoy, who ever is in charge of this is dam stupid to cancel it.

Tyler is hands down the best Superman & Clark actor ever. He just plays them how they are supposed to be. Glad he became my favourite actor, cuz before that show i tought he is kinda meh, well before Elseworlds actually.
It's nice that this sneak peek at the final season of Superman and Lois shows us what we've been waiting to see since the season 3 finale: more of the fight between Superman and Doomsday (who's a mutated parallel version of Superman in this series). From what was shown, this fight is epic, and I can't wait to see how it concludes.

Man they established in the earlier seasons that his suit can heal relatively quickly from battle damage so either this fight is actually happening way faster than it is shown or the damage is way too severe for and exceeds the suit’s capabilities. Little details telling a bigger story, love to see it

James Gunn didn't cancel the show. The CW did that. if you are going to blame someone, blame the CW. the CW is a FLOP anyways. The channel has been dead since 2022 when they sold the network to Nexstar Media. They're all about making cheap poor production stuff now and whatever show costs more money to make, they pull the cord on. they're all about viewership now too (it's always been there but they didn't care about it back then) idk why y'all are still here watching the CW, you are only giving it more reason to stay open for business. they need to RETIRE. i want nothing to do with them anymore. i want them to FAIL.

I’m no Gunn fan but I believe the show is ending because it really doesn’t bring in much in the way of ratings. It also requires an FX budget that isn’t justified by ratings. They had to cut cast members just to keep the show running another season.

As someone who's watched all the seasons of S&L, it's a bittersweet moment to get a Death of Superman live-action iteration. And it's moving and heartbreaking as we have all come to love and care about Tylor's Superman. In my opinion, he's the best modern version of Superman.
I don’t see how james Gunn can top this. No wonder he wanted to stop this show after this year.

It is incredible how such a low budget series gives it all the essence that Superman should have, here you see Superman more worried about the world than anyone else, since he showed more concern for everyone who took Doomsday to space. that he prevented his son from fighting since Clark was able to know that this creature is very dangerous, what most honored the s that he carries on his chest that means hope is that in the second season he rebelled against the United States by telling the replacement of his father-in-law to swear loyalty and hope to the world first and boy does he do it because he is aware of all the events in the world of every natural catastrophe and the dangers that happen in every city.
I cant believe a low budget CW show depicted Doomsday better than one of the biggest movies of the 2010s.
They finally gave CW a budget and it actually looks great.
This fight is way better than this movie version.

Nah, not everything needs a million seasons. It was more than enough in my opinion, most shows lose their quality the more seasons they get.

The S3 finale, and now this, feels like watching a family member walk off a cliff. This show grabbed me from episode one and it’s gonna be really tough seeing how the Kents deal with this. I can’t wait to see how the story plays out, but it’s gonna be so crushing to watch Superman lose this one :(
I also love how heavily the black suit is being implied (rematch???), but if they don’t end up doing it I don’t care. I’m just so excited for October at this point lol
