The same also goes for other people watching your videos - you can get multiple views from the same person (for example, people tend to return to music videos more than once, as well as tutorials) but the algorithm tries to detect whether it’s normal viewing behaviour - so rewatching a video CAN be pretty normal but would still only count as one view usually unless you came back to it again at a different time. Going to ask this, but if it was a playlist of say 20 videos? There is an automatic gap between videos so they will be counted. This is my experience. Here's a few things I have learned about doing this. Do not watch short videos over and over again. Even different short videos. It will get flagged. Do not watch a playlist full of shorts. The best way to make this work is to watch a playlist of full-length videos, and you can have multiple yt accounts. I have found I can get away with running 3 browsers on my different playlist, and I get the views and watch hours. After a few hours, I switch to a different youtube account and repeat. If it gets caught as spamming, then your IP address will not count for likes or views for a day or two. I tested this at work and home.
@@aimfuldrifter I would watch a short once to add the like, and that's all. Apparently, watching your videos on repeat is against YT terms, so I stopped doing that a while ago.
@@lfamilygamingshorts Well, watching short videos once do not count as it seems and the like is shown on that specific profile but doesn't count on the main one. There's no problem with the longer (1 minute and above) videos. I'd just like to boost some videos with a couple likes from accounts of my family to encourage people to like. You know how it works - the snowball effect. People tend not to like if there aren't any.
@@pedroramires5049 it's not worth it. One UA-cam says it's illegal. Two, it's very time-consuming and costly. If you are on the same IP address/wifi, then that's how it is tracked, and it won't work on 10 different phones. There are ways around this, but honestly, it's not worth it. Plus, if you leave a channel running for longer than a few hours, it will stop counting the views and watch hours. I'm not sure about the exact time, but I know when I did it and I left the channel running for about 10 hours, it stopped counting the views and watch hours. I haven't watched my videos on repeat since finding out it was against the yt rules and my channel has been doing so much better. I'm not sure what content you make, but the few things that really helped me grow naturally were shorts, 10-minute videos, and posting daily long content for a few months. I have recently gone back to shorts and do 4 per day and one longer video per day. When I say longer, that's between 10-60 minutes. This requires a lot of planning and scheduling to do. I also work 60-72 hours a week at my normal job. I will spend up 40-50 hours a week working on my yt channel.
You can actually farm views more effectively if you close and open the browser after each view. The key here is that the session gets a reboot and UA-cam is unable to detect this. You'll get one view for each reboot
Just launched my new UA-cam channel and video after days of struggling to create a video! Watched my video to check how it registers. Keep the hustle. God Bless Us!
When I upload a video I got 2.4k subs and it seems to work I use 3 alt accounts and watch it twice on each and it helps push the video out into the algorithm!

There's also retention. If you watch a video on repeat 10x, it'll register only 1 view, but will count 1000% retention (of course if not viewed from your own account). I noticed that self views get registered. Watching ones own private videos, the views get registered - an eternally private video can only get views from its creator. But they get annulled over time. Thanks for the video! Sometimes I'd view my video through analytics for a few seconds and thought I saw the view count go up slightly, so was curious about all this. Nice to have an idea of how it works.
i think this is incorrect i dont think replaying the video would count as a view because you stayed on the same page and maybe if you reloaded the page and watched again if would of gotten more views but it probably wont stay
You have to refresh the page not just hit replay.. It works to an extent (or atleast years ago it did) but after you rack up views it starts to take them away after a week or two (again this was some years ago so not sure if its the same). Edit: Yeah guess you figured it out in the end lmao.
THIS WORKED FOR ME!! LISTEN.. What I have seen in the past is IF you taker a video and rename it after a few days and maybe change the keywords, YT seems to give it another boost to let people SEE the new content and see where to rank it.. I use to get another 30 views or so by doing this.. I did it with videos that were not taking off at all and it definitely worked..
There is some tricky point you forgot that 1 view cames from viewers youtube watch history. If you test 200 times the same video you can see that the story only counts it as single viewed. But you see 1st and get 1 view and see another video and go back to get 2nd view for your main 1st video you also get stuck because history tells not 2st vid1 1st vid2 1st vid1 But tells: Vid1 Vid2 Just replace its previous place but if you test it next day you may get just 1 view pervday I mean
Step 1: get alt account who is only subbed to you Step 2: turn off UA-cam history settings Step 3: refresh UA-cam home page and your vid will pup up, click on vid Step 4: set vid to 0.25% watch speed (will multiply the watchtime by 4) Step 5: go to google history and wipe account Step 6: repeat steps 3-5, you’re welcome
Yes your views count. On Chrome, I go into Incognito Mode and watch my Video 20 time opening new tabs at the same time to save watching time and it Worked ! For the Short Term Paul
You forgot to refresh the page every time when you watch the video I tested self-watching as well. And it turns out that I had to reload the page and I still couldn't get faster than 1 view per 30 seconds
i remember doing some thing similar ages ago but with privet window tabs i would get the link and open like 6 search pages and play them all. i think it help my video but im not 100% sure
Wishing everyone lots of views and the strength to keep going! I started my account from scratch in November 2024. Every single view makes me as happy as a kid! And when someone subscribes, it’s a real celebration for me! The key is to stay consistent and not give up. Good luck to everyone! 😊
Of course refreshing a video 100 times doesn't work, but what if you upload 100 videos, put them in a playlist and then watch the playlist? You'd get 1 view per video because they are separate videos. Maybe they'd even count the first video again once you eventually loop around since it has been such a long time that you watched it that it doesn't seem spammy anymore.
I do this mainly to watch it to make sure nothing went wrong with the video, and I'm also afraid to click away to tank my watch time if I'm just reviewing something. So I let all of it play usually.
This was very helpful. I was actually trying to figure out how many people OTHER than myself watched some videos I created for a team. I watched them several times to analyze the game, so I'm glad it only registers my views as 1 view. Now I know how many separate people watched the videos. My conclusion is that many of the team members don't even take the time to view their own game to get better. wah wah wah.
I tried this, I started opening two of my phones with different accounts to play the play lists every day overnight, I just noticed my views dropped drastically and stopped😢😢
It took me only a short time to figure out that they were counting my views of my own video's. Probably not a good idea to try too get views that way though.
I did this many times they took it down shortly after specially if on same network if u do this on another network different location different channel that’s on different email should work !
To explain why UA-cam register only 1 view if you watch the video with the same account: I have done this with 10 or 15 tabs open And saw that the views where going up But a day later The views where gone. Because UA-cam has its tricks that you can’t watch the same video over and over again. But what you can do is watching the video like every day And not nonstop Maybe that work 🤷♀️ I’m going alps dive deeper into this trick. Because sometimes i have only 4 views in a video ( and sometimes that’s even me watching. Because i get sometimes too bored of what the UA-cam algorithm gives me) Maybe I’m going to make a video of it in the future
the reasons to watch your own content is a) quality control to check how bad its compressed and what audio glitches youtube compression causes b) respond to comments no other reasons

And not getting views😢
Does that affect our channel if we keep watching our vedios by ourselves? Please answer 🙂🙂
Thanks for the information! Also used veed a few time and love it!
There is some tricky point you forgot that 1 view cames from viewers youtube watch history.
If you test 200 times the same video you can see that the story only counts it as single viewed. But you see 1st and get 1 view and see another video and go back to get 2nd view for your main 1st video you also get stuck because history tells not
2st vid1
1st vid2
1st vid1
But tells:
Vid1
Vid2
Just replace its previous place but if you test it next day you may get just 1 view pervday I mean
Thank you for doing this experiment so now we know how it works!
No problem!
Step 1: get alt account who is only subbed to you
Step 2: turn off UA-cam history settings
Step 3: refresh UA-cam home page and your vid will pup up, click on vid
Step 4: set vid to 0.25% watch speed (will multiply the watchtime by 4)
Step 5: go to google history and wipe account
Step 6: repeat steps 3-5, you’re welcome
Amazing, also the watch time was the thing I noticed that was most affected
This is great - Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge
Lots of respect from Sri Lanka
Glad it was helpful!
@@VEEDCREATORS always bro 😉
Bro really amazing content! I try my best to
create good videos and still struggle.
To whoever is watching this video like me, I hope your channel grows ✌️
Yes your views count. On Chrome, I go into Incognito Mode and watch my Video 20 time opening new tabs at the same time to save watching time and it Worked ! For the Short Term Paul
Thank you for conducting this experiment.
You forgot to refresh the page every time when you watch the video
I tested self-watching as well. And it turns out that I had to reload the page and I still couldn't get faster than 1 view per 30 seconds
There's an updated version of this experiment on my channel
i remember doing some thing similar ages ago but with privet window tabs i would get the link and open like 6 search pages and play them all. i think it help my video but im not 100% sure
I watch my own videos to listen as an audience - to identify areas of improvement and identify missed edits😊
Great information as always 😊👍🏾
That is what is expected to happen.
Top notch video, keep up the good work!
What if you use a VPN and new IP for each view?
Its about 6-7 views per day for each video before yt stops counting, also if you do this try not to watch the same video, switch between videos.
You have to add your videos to a playlist and play the playlist lol
It took me only a short time to figure out that they were counting my views of my own video's. Probably not a good idea to try too get views that way though.
Omg amazing content bro
Thank you!
Great bro liked your editing too👍👍
Nice one bro amazing job
No problem, glad you liked it!
I did this many times they took it down shortly after specially if on same network if u do this on another network different location different channel that’s on different email should work !
To explain why UA-cam register only 1 view if you watch the video with the same account: I have done this with 10 or 15 tabs open
And saw that the views where going up
But a day later
The views where gone.
Because UA-cam has its tricks that you can’t watch the same video over and over again.
But what you can do is watching the video like every day
And not nonstop
Maybe that work 🤷♀️
I’m going alps dive deeper into this trick.
Because sometimes i have only 4 views in a video ( and sometimes that’s even me watching. Because i get sometimes too bored of what the UA-cam algorithm gives me)
Maybe I’m going to make a video of it in the future
This actually works. I did it when I was a kid and all you have to do is refresh the page.
first of all you need to put the link on your browser everytime.
also if you put your video in private mode then it works as well.
i do this 24/7... not bc i want to but bc the vid is so frikin good
Me too but then I start to see all the mistakes I made while editing and stop
I just hit 100 subs. Thank you everyone. 🎉🎉🎉
Hey Bro, I have a question I did same thing past but no watch count but now my watchtime is real my channel will monitize or not??
If people don't want to watch your videos what's the point of being monetized?
You also have to close the link each time you view or go to something else and go back to it because it’s not going to count
Pls help..i have 4 yt accounts..it.s legal to watch one channel from the other 3? And it.s working?
I read that someone has to watch 30 seconds of an ad to get your video counted as a view
can we use incognito window for watching the video and will it work ?
Oh my god this is an awesome watch 🎉🎉🎉 creative ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
New Friend Here! Your channel came across my screen. Looking forward for more of your experiments . Good Luck 👍
Thank you!
Holy shit it works for my channel! My vids are popping off !!
the reasons to watch your own content is
a) quality control to check how bad its compressed and what audio glitches youtube compression causes
b) respond to comments
no other reasons
Sometimes we enjoy watching our own video again periodically for lots of reasons depending on the type of video.
Such good content! As a small youtuber who is struggling to get monetized, your videos are highly valuable! Thank you for that, you deserve way more subs and keep up the good work! Subbed :D
I appreciate that, thank you!
@@VEEDCREATORS thank you for you hard work! I will stick around!
Keep at it, you'll get there soon
The problem is UA-cam will probably detect it because it’s coming from the same IP address it’s best to use a VPN
Some people say changing the title after uploading three four days later create trouble it may freeze also is it correct
What if you watch, reload, and watch again because that is what I do for my seo score, and I get up to 11 to 21 views.
How does this work with shorts when they auto loop?
Not sure, but I'm willing to bet the views count on shorts (for now)
but does it increase the watch time hours or affect them at all???
What if I go to library and watch it with no account?
i think you need to reload the page for it to count
