Several of you have commented that I needed to change the mounting location of the heat sink on my tail lights. You also talk about doing the 6 on or 6 hi mod. Also known as all lights on. Today we take care of all of those things. I have wanted to do 6 high for a while but didn't want to have a bunch of wires randomly jammed into the fuse box. I found a company that makes a drop in option. I am impressed at the quality of this part, especially for the price. This video will show you how to do the 6 hi mod. I have that same Fleece Performance chip in my 06 Yukon Denali XL and it made ALL the difference when driving at night

You could completely get rid of the resistors & get an aftermarket flasher relay made for leds. it’s called Novita LM487, i did it on my 06 and i prefer so much over having the resistors. quick and easy to install

Another mod you can do, which I have done to my 2004 suburban, is on the front running lights/turn signals under the headlights are put a switchback bulbs in them so when light are on everything is a white light from headlight to running lights to fog lights and it is such a cleaner look. When you hit the turn signal the amber works then goes back to white when turn signal is off, kind of a modern look and style, similar to when the white bulbs, on newer vehicles, turn off when turn signal is on then takes a couple seconds to turn the white bulb back on when turn signal turns off, it looks sweet.
I actually sold this but switchbacks are nice.
@@TWAMotorsports don't know about the next gens from the one you had but see if it's possible with the newer suburban you just bought.
If you ever plan on wanting a second battery, you should install the bracket that goes under the hood. They sell them new with the battery hold down rubber piece and bolt for $35-55. (Can get it from a duramax.) It's literally just empty space otherwise. Nice to have the bracket mounted and ready to go.

I’ve seen people make the daytime running lights and turn signals to turn on at same time! You should check it out so you can get those to turn on also with all the other lights!

Lighting looks good on the front.
Not crazy about the license plate illumination, most people want them dim or out, the brightness on the plate is too distracting I think for no real benefit.

Go find ya Escalade in the salvage yard and get the stainless steel roof rack of it. Then paint match the smooth pillar covers of the Escalade to replace yours. The black covers above the tail lights.

Cool 6 on mod - but in some states that is not legal. Viewers should check with their state laws to see if they can do that and avoid a ticket.

@@TWAMotorsports i definitely ride around w/ the brights on, at all times. granted, mine are pointed where they _NEED/SHOULD_ be. however, i still get flashed a bunch. it's *stupid* bright w/ all 6 on w/ proper LED's.

You keep saying “heatsink” are you sure it’s not a resistor for the led lights so that the indicator doesn’t blink fast?? And it’s dielectric.
It is a resistor but looks like a heat sink. I said dielectric lol

What size resistors are needed for turn signals. Also I was told that grease is not good for LEDs. They told me that at auto zone but idk
No idea for the turn signals. dielectric grease just keeps moisture out of the socket.
