All I can say is wow...excellent. I watched another presentation and was attempting to pry the battery out when I saw those strips and recognized them from using them with home picture hangers. I thought "this cant be right". Went to your video and saw the correct way.

Don't have a blackhole before doing this like I did. Cup of coffee with a shot of espresso. Shakin' like a crackhead over here.
mycrappydirtvideos I did the teardown on two mini 8oz cups of French vanilla coffee, probably not as bad as what you dealt with but I'm not a real coffee drinker so I shook like I hadn't snorted a line in a week.

I was trying to take the old sleep button off the hinge bracket to put the new one one but the little metal plate won't come off. How do you take it off to put the new sleep button on the hinge bracket?

@ 5:50 looks like you're missing the eenie weeny teeny tiny itsy bity little bracket that is supposed to be "captive" on the home button ribbon cable. It was in the disassembly video, but looks to be missing here. Mine wasn't exactly captive; in fact after it fell off it jumped away and escaped, never to be seen again. What happens if I re-assemble without this?

How do you install the camera cover - the brown cloth like cover.
I bought the battery and replacement tools but could not prise the screen and case apart. Not wanting to do damage, I took it to a third party and had them do it.

I don't see the wifi antenna connector that gets connected to logic board. Where does it originate from?

Yes, having a moving parts inside your phone is not a good idea.

For some reason, TouchID stops working even though everything is correctly installed - even moving the old home button to the new assembly. It sucks :(

For future reference, this may help. I had to get a different screen. The repairmen put it a white screen and it wouldn't power on, then he put a black screen in and it worked.

After replacing my battery touch id doesn't work. I just snapped the cable of the home button on the socket and put the bracket on. What did i do wrong?

Did you remove the braket and cable for the home button before lifting the screen up? You're supposed to pop off the screen a little bit then disconnect the cable and then open it all the way. It seems like you may have forgotten that step.
Power on after reassembled and all that pops up is apple then blank black screen.. Any one?

depends is the screen is cracked the maybe your fpc cable is out of place

I had the same problem. turns out that I switched the 1.2 and 1.3mm screws on the front panel assembly. After I got them on the correct orientation it works again. good luck.
