My favourite ride at present? Around the bay of Baku, Azerbaijan where you can completely avoid the ‘mad’ traffic of the city and go all the way around the spectacular seaside, taking in the White City Boulevard, the Baku Boulevard past the ancient Maiden’s Tower, the Old City and on to the Crystal Hall of Eurovision fame… It’s a nice ride of about 30km all told, possibly more if one explores the Old City walls too…
