I thought I knew how to speed flip but this training pack says otherwise lol
Fr 😂 I thought I nailed it btw now but I went to it and spent an hour tryna get it 😅
It’s a bit of speed flip and a bit of timing when to do your flip to get maximum efficiency. In a real game, very rarely would it be even beneficial to have that timing together down. Great for kickoffs though

For those of y’all trying to get it in the training pack, make sure ur wheels touch the ground and ur car is not falling before u press any buttons because u won’t be able to get it if u try and reset the shot, and then go right away. The counter starts when u press a button so let ur car fall first
When i press a button the counter just goes up to 10 seconds
while it should be 2 seconds

This tip is huge. I've been struggling with consistency in this pack, and this was the answer.

Idk which ones because i did it a long time ago so idk which ones are the base settings but you can just read all of them and turn of the ones that arent helpful

if anyone has trouble doing this on console. go to settings and turn game speed down to 50%. that should help you figure out the motion on the joystick better. was able to get it within 5 tries after doing that

@gryphns trus, I did 50 a few times then 85 so I could work on the timing now I'm hittin it a few times at 100. I was starting to think it was impossible lol I dont even have to air roll or powerslide.

I love when someone speed flips and I don't on kickoff. Pretty easy to counter unless they are god tier, which only a few plats (where I'm stuck) are. Just front flip after they flip
it won’t really work past plat however because once players get better they learn to flip immediately if they don’t get first touch and to delay the flip if they do get first touch

@@H4rryInd3rIt's not just AUS/NZ but they're apparently not a great company. I've seen a lot of creators say they kind of fucked them over in partnerships.
There’s also a baked mod plug-in that tells you exactly what parts of the speed flip you’re doing wrong

Also, if you take off as soon as you reset you will struggle to reach the ball. Because the way he made it, you're not actually on the floor yet when you reset. So give it half a second after reset for your car to actually land on the floor. Then go. You'll see much greater success if you wait for the car to land on the floor after resetting. Also I can highly vouch for this training pack. Very frustrating at first, but once you get it, you know you've gotten speedflips on lock. If you can do it 4/5 times, you can start using them in game.

Just so you know, your car spawns in the air so every time you reset you have to wait for a sec for your car to actually be on the ground. If you don't wait you lose speed and even if your inputs are perfect you won't succeed.
This training pack helped me sm with my speedflips
Best tip here: get Bakkes Mod Speedflip tool for that training pack. You will see 1) angle of flip 2) cancel timing 3) jump/flip timing with Bars from red-green

Theres a bakkes mod pluggin as well that tells you where you’re screwing up. Flipping to soon/late, angle
For being low C2 I’m pretty consistent with this. Probably my most consistent mechanic. Way more consistent flipping to the diagonal left for some reason.
Me too with left over right for some reason feels way more natural than the other way

I'd say its more to do with the fact you're using your left hand and that is on the left side. Moving your thumb closer to your hand (left hand moving thumb to the left) is much easier and less strenuous then extending the thumb out to the right. Actually I'm just really high rambling but the more I type the more it makes sense to me. I also feel like there is more accuracy in holding the thumb closer. Do I even make sense. I don't think so anymore
im chilling at c1-c2 and i just do wave dash kick off, been consistant for me and im too lazy to learn speed flips

Honestly many people fail speedflips without realizing it because they think they’re properly doing it but realistically they’re actually very slow on their flipping making them lose more speedflip 50s than they win. Practice your speedflips kings

Yeah there's 2 packs I use, one to warm up that has 4 different shots, all require speed flips, but each one is easier than the next, so the first shot you can do the ugliest speed flip and still touch the ball, 2nd shot is a tiny bit harder, 3rd a little harder, and the 4th you almost have to speed flip perfectly to touch the ball. Then I go to mustys speed flip pack, and it's SOOOO FUCKING HARD!!!!! you literally have to jump at the right time, can't wait to long, you have to do it almost perfectly straight, and the beginning is glitched so you have to wait a second or 2 before taking off. I can do it right now about 3/10 times. Ridiculously hard. So my point is that you may be speed flipping, because I can do the first training pack almost every try, but mustys training pack is to train you to do the absolute fastest speed flip possible.
U Def can mess up a little and still get it but it def takes practice
Yeah, I can do it 10/10 times now. I was starting my flip too early. You gotta boost as the first button you push, and go almost to the first line in the field before flipping. It's a great tool to learn speedflips though.

u know what’s funny, in the pack I got the ball directly at 1 sec and then the game glitches and the ball stays on the ground so it can dissapear into thin AIR

probably side flipping
Might be flipping in opposite direction, cancelling it. When moving the stick down, do it in the same direction as the diagonal, but down (also same angle aiming down)
@@HentaiJesus69 Even that doesn't help. I have the Speed Flip helper activated in Bakkes mod and even waiting for the car to touch the ground and having all greens I still miss the ball by a long shot.
@@HentaiJesus69 Also Rocket League does not care which angle you cancel your flip at but rather applies the counter torque to the Flip, which means optimally you want to pull the stick down as straight as possible. If you don't believe me watch videos by , let's say apparentlyjack with a controller overlay on and you'll see he's always dead center.

Do you think there might be a slight delay on consoles like the PS4? I’ve been at it for about 2 hours and I swear I’m doing it right and it’s incredibly close, but I just can’t hit it.
Same it’s starting to seem impossible. I always get close enough to the ball that my car is almost kissing it but then it disappears.
I'm trying to figure out why training packs change from 2 seconds to hit the ball to 9 seconds. I don't get the right amount of time to do speed flip.

@olavinho7752 I fixed it once. But I don't remember what I did. I'm assuming you have bakkesmod? It's in the custom training part in bakkesmod I'm pretty sure. Might just have to play with settings, or just don't use bakkesmod when training and it should just go back to normal.
@olavinho7752 I got your fix. It's in bakkesmod, custom training, then turn off enable custom training variance. Just so you know, the musty speed flip training has 3 shots and only the first one seems to be good for training.

ive been trying to learn how to speedflip recently but eventhough i always move my joystick 30 degrees of true north and pull directly down right after double jumping while holding manual air roll the entire time, i still cant beat the training pack and idk what im doing wrong
In case you still have trouble make sure your wheel touch the ground before you press a button. I got it 1/10 times before but now I get it like 80% of the time

honestly this pack was kinda useless for me, cause i know i'm not doing it correctly but there's no way to track if i'm improving or not until you touch the ball. i wish there was a pack with more gradual progression

You never stop hitting boost. Are you able to use the jump button while continuously holding boost? is so how would i change this setting for console?
You should be able to do it without letting go of boost ot isn't a setting

Load of bull. I finished that training pack without a speedflip😜.
Speedflip has 3 steps:
- diagnonal flip
- cancel
- correction
Theres the hard wat and the cheesy way to do it. Its not a “feeling”. Its just an certain input. Same as every other trick. 3 steps is all you need.
Musty:
- back rotating jump
- backflip
- cancel
Breezy:
- half a tornado flip
- correction
- musty
Shall i make a youtube channel to really show people how its done? Instead if “you guys asked me to help with this. Well here is a training pack and it will take you a while🙄. I can make a beginner speedflip in minutes. Trust me when i say: when coaches talk about how its a feeling.. they have no clue themselves.

Edit: 8 months later, still can’t get it, and my flip feels much faster than what his looks like. I’m giving up soon.
felt the same way for a while, got a few real tips: wait for car to touch the ground after every reset, don’t touch the throttle(R2) only use boost. finally use beckwith park @ night and there will be a break in the line where you start, time your first jump at that break in the line and it should work

I don't think you helped him learn how to speedflip
You have to get everything right to pass the test. Your flip could be perfect and you could still not be able to get to the ball. Make sure you get good at the flip in freeplay before you try to perfect the kickoff in the training pack.
