How do you distinguish between the two diseases? I still didn't hear anything that warranted the mass hysteria that is happening now.

At home care number 1 would be sterilize the area and air as cov-19 makes people vulnerable to other illnesses, make sure they are eating nutritious foods as a strong system is still the best defense, make sure they have plenty of fluids to drink if vomiting occurs lime is a natural Antiemetic but medication may be required, and make sure you have fast access to medical facilities if condition worsens. That was my experience at least.

Two questions: Since the Coronavirus can present like the flu and it first presented in the height of the regular flu season, how do medical professionals diagnose the two different viruses without testing? And is the same criteria used when counting COVID 19 fatalities as is with the Flu? For instance, if a person has AIDS then contracts the flu and dies from it, would the cause of death be considered flue or AIDS; and would the criteria be the same with both viruses?

Its very, very rare to be affected by the same virus twice. There can be some cases due to very young age or something wrong with the inmune system. That doesnt mean you dont catch the virus but your memory B cells react way faster and in a more effective way stopping it before it affects you. Memory B cells last you in normal conditions all your life since they live for a very long time and new ones are formed if they enter into contact with the pathogens again. You also have memory T cells most live a much much shorter life but are replaced from the T-cell pool (except a few that are resistant and we dont know how or why these last very, very long).
So to make it easy to understand:
The memory T cell is like a cop going around on its duties with a most wanted photo. If it finds what its looking for it "activates" a fast response first line defence with other cells of your inmune system.
When your memory B cells are activated ("informed") that there especific bad guy has been localized in your system and since they have the blueprints to produce the "weapon" to defeat that most wanted bad guy they start producing it in mass amounts. So before that nasty bad guy knows whats happening he is surrounded, beaten and eaten.
Now you maybe asking then why do I get the flu (it is not a coronavirus but it will do to understand) more than ounce in my life. Well if that virus has a small evolution (antigenic drift) your memory T cells are searching for someone without a scar on his forehead but due to that small evolution that virus now has a scar on its forehead so they think its not the same one and dont start that fast first line response. So after its over you will have some Memory B with a photo of the virus with a scar and the older ones will have the same photo of the virus without a scar, so if comes back in those 2 forms he will be detected and eliminated fast. But if next time it comes with a scar and an earing then none of them will detect it.
Now if that antigenic drift is more than a small evolution or it has an antigenic shift then your talking of a new version of a virus which will get its own name. This would be like that bad guy having new face surgery.
Edit: forgot to mention that unless covid-19 suffers an antigenic shift/drift your covered for life.
The good news is that covid-19 is very stable and doesnt look like it will change that easily.

Of course you can, although it won't help much, but might make you remember to not touch your face without washing your hands.
Keeping hands clean is more important.
If you get sick, absolutely wear one.

The masks should only be worn on the sick and the medical staff. No matter if u wore a mask or not someone sick sneezing talking coughing etc. It's gonna get on your clothes and then u wear those home an touch so I say u go out have a change of clothes at your door change throw clothes straight in washer an 🚿. Wash your hands first and after.

I change my clothes everytime I come home, but not cos COVID-19.. I have really bad allergies.. So I take off my clothes at tbe door. Put them in a plastic bag so I can carry them to the wash. I then jump in the shower to wash all the pollen and allergens off of me and my hair.
