    This had me thinking that maybe the reason we haven’t found life or civilisations on any other exoplanets close enough for us to discover is because they’ve already moved on to other, farther planets, and what will happen to our Earth has already happened to their planet, leaving us no trace or clue that they were ever even there. It’s kinda scary to think we’ve been left behind, without even knowing it, and might never be able to catch up.

    • @justinbiggs1005

      It might be engulfed by the sun. But that's debatable. In it's final red giant phase or the asymptotic giant phase, it will shed a lot of it's mass. The decrease in mass will decrease it's gravitational pull. Earth might be able to escape incineration, but it will be uninhabitable in the end when the sun becomes a white dwarf.

    Won’t the sun have become a red giant in about 4 billion years? In that case the earth and other planets near the sun( like venus, mercury etc.) wouldn’t exist anymore since the sun’s gravity would increase by so much that nearby planets would be ´´absorbed’´ by the sun

    • @Tomacrack1
      @Tomacrack1 6 років тому +25

      Aniqa Munir Gravity of the sun depends on its mass and it is inversely proportional to the distance to it squared. The increase would be affected by smaller distance to it,i guess.

    • @gardist
      @gardist 6 років тому +18

      This has nothing to do with the speed of light. The sun will live its life regardless of the speed of light and in 4 billion years it will be alot bigger thus earth will be closer to the sun and get extremely hot and hostile to life.
      Besides, why do you think the speed of light changes?

    • @Tomacrack1
      @Tomacrack1 6 років тому +6

    I wonder about our consciousness. If there is something to humanity that lives on after dead. And where does it go. If so? Where will our consciousness be by then? There is just something strange and unknown to it. Information can be created but not destroyed. Where does it go? Our memories our ideas. It feels like and this sucks because we feel it but we can't prove it. Some places feel happy or sad so on. Maybe its just not inside us alone. Does it leave a piece of us behind when we experience a place? Is there more to humanity and where does it go when it dies? Will our life energy and information in our minds be carried off somewhere one day. Or do we simply dissipate back into the universe. We are all merely just dead star remains.

      Aseng Peace I use to be religious. After mainstream religion witchcraft took my attention. Which was interesting, a lot of it had things science can't explain. But I can't fallow a religion, most of that has warped logic. And where religion is, blood shed follows. It's against my personal morals too. Despite others having different ideas and opinions, I treat them the way I want be treated. If they ill treat me I'll hurt them back. Many religion breach love,but some of their gods are unreasonable and violent. As well the people in force violence on those who believe different. They feel its sinful,yet act sinful against what they call sin.

      @dihvocfoscocudvyvdd Yeah a type 3 civilization could probably reverse that; could manipulate the mantle to continue the plate tectonics, develop artificial magnetosphere, artificial moon and sun, with that; Earth might survive and live on.

    These video are pretty interesting to watch, but this one especially, because that's the first time I've heard that aong used on a video outside of my own ones xD even though it's freely available through the UA-cam music library, I've surprisingly never heard it on another channels video for like 6 years :o until now! :P

    Great video. Can I make a question? Moon slows down the rotation of the earth, right? Since the moon is getting away from us, then shouldn't the day last less? I'm asking this, because you mentioned that a day on earth will probably last more than 40 hours.

    so sad...our beautiful planet will end up like this, but anyway, nothing is eternal, isn't it? everything that appears, will persist for a while and disappeared at the end...and somewhere in this universe will appear new beautiful planets as well all the time, so just cherish what we have now 😍😍😍

    But even if we travel to another moon or planet in the solar system, we would still need to get out of the Milky Way, as the sun starts the red giant phase and then explotes and turns into a white dwarf, we still need to make out on where to find a new star with an habitable planet for the rest of eternity

    Imagine that we terraformed Mars a few billion years before that time since it would now be deeper in the habitable zone due to the sun's increased luminosity. This would make it easier to terraform it because the sun would warm Mars up, and we could end up living there for up to 5 billion years.
