Pathfinder 2e Kineticist in 7 Minutes or Less

- I've never done a class guide before- but hopefully the content won't disappoint you based on my other videos! My goal is not to replace actually reading the class in Rage of Elements, but to supplement it with the theory and background behind the class. So I don't go over any actual feats, just the basics on how the class actually functions.

So now you can have an Avatar: The Last Airbender party!
Aang: Kineticist who starts off with air (and maybe water) and gains access to earth and fire at higher levels
Katara: Water Kineticist
Sokka: Investigator(?)
Toph: Earth Kineticist who either starts out with metal as well or learns it at a higher level
Zuko: Fire Kineticist
Sokka could be either Investigator or Inventor
Toph would learn metal later.
I'm pretty sure sokka would just be a rogue with a boomerang, maybe a ranger🤔
@@insipidcrate3815 mastermind rogue
sokka can also work as a fighter
You can't do a lot of the cool stuff earthbenders and metal benders can do, though. Can't pull a brick from a wall and chuck it, can't bend metal bars apart, can't tear through iron like it's clay
The other ones are pretty accurate, though
I think you can have your Kinetic Aura on before combat because its an aura not a stance.
Nothing states it can't so yeah
Correct. You can Channel Elements™ outside of combat
Makes it perfect for planning ambushes.
@@ssfbob456 while it doesnt say anything about having stealth penalties, it would be weird to be sneaking around with a 10ft **fire** aura in a dark dungeon.
@@mkmasterthreesixfive could think of it as a heat wave that comes over you if You're standing in it, but not one that's fully visible exactly.
I LOVE THIS CLASS

Heck yes! Been trying making them on Pathbuilder but was struggling to see how they work in action and really appreciate this
I love this video! I wish you had one for all the classes. I want to be able to give my players what classes like oracles, witches, and swashbucklers are all about so they can decide what to pick before diving into the rules for each one.
water... earth... fire... air...
long ago the four nations lived in harmony...
but then everything changed when the fire kineticists attacked
Really hope people realize you can have your Aura going 24/7 unless you turn it off manually or you're Knocked Out. Action Economy...
Positive comment!
You're incredible at breaking down complex things. Well done.
Thank you! I was struggling to understand the base level of what a kineticist was and having terms defined is so helpful. Now I can play with builds and see what it looks like.
I just got the book and I love it! And I have to say that you broke down the Kineticist so very well. Thanks for that. Love your videos.
Great video as always. Keep up the good work!
AVATAR KINETICIST MONK DUAL CLASS LET'S GOOOO
A few remarks:
- 2E Fighters get as many feats as Wizards do (excluding 1st level). You might be mixing them up with older DnD fighters. The difference is that Fighters get more feats that grant actions
- you can have your aura active at the start of combat. Only stances can not be active outside combat
- the closest equivalent would be a caster that spams Cantrips.
Untrue, fighter gets a class feat at 1st(wizards do not), they also get combat flexibility at 9th which gives them an extra class feat of level 8 or lower that they can change every daily prep, and again at 15th they get an extra class feat of 14th or lower that they can change every daily prep.
@@mattsullivan2458 Maybe do not start your correction with a reading failure?
"2E Fighters get as many feats as Wizards do *(excluding 1st level).* "
@@christopherg2347that doesnt invalidate the rest of their comment, though. This reads off as being slightly touchy on the correction, but I dont think harm was meant (talking as a third party).
@@christopherg2347The fact that you chose to ignore the rest of their comment AND be snarky about it is a really bad look. No one is impressed by your keyboard fighting skills.
@@GeeGe. Okay, Keyboard Warrior.
Been watching lots of content about the Kineticist, this sums it up very well and will make for a great reference video, saved!
Man they sound so fun!
oh wow this was only recently uploaded, lucky me! great work, thanks for making such a short and simple guide!
Fantastic vid!
Still waiting on the cheese and its benefits vs other food items video.
Damn this is such a good summary THANKS!
If you want to feel like a caster without reading a million spells, this is your class :D
Great under-7-minute overview. Just what I needed to by-pass the many 30-or-more-min videos. Why can’t people get synthetic?
Great video!
So bending. Cool.
nice video! pretty good summary
Hello, you are going to talk about the dedication of the kineticist, I am playing with a witch like the dedication of the kineticist it is good to know more about PF2E
Don't wizards have the same number of class feats as fighters?
@@Leonardo-fv4vu I'm not sure about that. From what I know rogues are the ones who get way more skill feats, everyone else is pretty much the same...
@@aamirhussain26 oops that's my bad, not general feats, class feats. They do get shield block for free at level one, one extra class feat with combat flexibility at 9, so fighter has a few more.
But I think what he meant is options, there are comparably way less options for wizard class feats than fighter (fighter has 6-9 options for each level, wizards have 3-4).
Investigator when? ;w;
Basically that's how should look like battle sorcerer lol
poor water genie 😢
sluuuuuuuuuuurp! delicious!
All I can think of is Fry drinking the water king
Melee is a word with French routes, and is pronounced more like may-lay instead of the way it looks in English (Meee-leeee)
Kineticists seem super cool
Shouldn't metal be part of the earth element ?
The list of usable elements looks like it’s based on the Chinese list + air. Metal and earth are separate under that list.
@@GrapeCheckerBoard interesting
Cool!
I’m kinda confused as to why metal and earth are separate
Our barbarian said, the respective video for a barbarian would be 30 seconds long.
First round of combat: rage attack attack
Every other round of combat:
Move attack attack
😀
Now I'm kind of curious how long it would actually take you 😅
Haha let's see! Maybe that means more time to go through the instincts.
Pathfinder seems super variable. Lots of customization
I don't think you explained the progression rules well. I guess I'm gonna have to read the rules after all.
Played an Aerokineticist at Gencon Society events. Was a great time. Video is succinctly on point.
