@Michael Davis it is well known in the black community that EVERYBODY in show busness stole their moves from James Brown and Jackie Wilson, mostly from the godfather of soul. Also from earlier black dance entertainers. Bill BoJangle Robinson, Mr. Moonwalk, back slide himself Bill Bailey from 1943. He was probably during that move in the 30's as well. The devil willing to give you, just about, whatever you want IF he can have your soul...THAT IS ALWAYS THE BARGAIN. It is your soul ( your most valued possession) he wants...and he will NOT settle for less. Many have sold their souls for fame, fortune and power; they learn too late that ETERNITY IN HELL is not worth it. It is weird that he would try to tempt JESUS with the same foolishness. Look into it sons of slaves brought here on ships. Deut 28:68. Look at Sons of thunder or IUIC Israelites or my favorite HOI black Hebrew Israelites and learn more.
Damn.. Miss these days. These magical songs. Bobby's bad ass music and his unparalleled dancing. The best era to be alive and young
James Brown brought the funk and the groove, Michael Jackson brought his electricfrying moonwalk and great vocals and then there is Bobby Brown swag, dance moves great vocals. Three incredible artist who all knew how to work the hell out of a stage floor. All three triple treats- can sing check, can dance oh yeah check, and last but not least mesmerising stage presence, yep check, check and check.
On point!
and Usher 🙌 🐐
@@andrearoppel7541 MC Hammer we're talking about ppl in the 80s/early 90s
Facts
@Michael Davis it is well known in the black community that EVERYBODY in show busness stole their moves from James Brown and Jackie Wilson, mostly from the godfather of soul. Also from earlier black dance entertainers. Bill BoJangle Robinson, Mr. Moonwalk, back slide himself Bill Bailey from 1943. He was probably during that move in the 30's as well. Brothers was putting down some smooth steps for the other nations to steal when those other entertainers were slumming in the hood in the day.
I miss these days! Bobby B was a truly electrifying performer!
When the artist outdance his own back ground dancers! Just went off and left them in the dust... like hold my mic and let me turn this thang out
But that's common though.
😂😭🙊🙉🙈😷👀👁👁💃💃
@@elisageorge2261 no it's not common.
@@all4onw428I'm saying if the Entertainer is a very talented dancer. It's common.
That's ALL he was. Couldn't sing worth shit, obviously.
No background vocals? And not even breathing heavy? Killing it!💯🐐
How he manage all the movin and still sing is amazing
+justin scott Its called lip syncing
+KMetzgr he only lip synced some parts not all. See Arsenio live then you can understand.
+KMetzgr +1
Ellie Amissah he definitely had some bad singing arrangements back in the day tryin to sing and do his moves. His routine was so strenuous back in the day, I use to get exhausted for him just watching
He lip synched every single part of this performance.
Y'all this is classic. Look how Bobby step out that dance move then start walking. That was smooth man.
He doing dat running man so smooth like he was sliding on ice...Love Bobby Brown....
Watching this dude was so amazing as kid !!!!!! Bobby was the meaning of performance 👑 of the stage !!!!!!!
Bobby just could NOT contain all of his talent in a Group, He had to Break Out..."BOBBY WAS GOOD TO GO SOLO" hell yeah My man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He left the group and he had something to prove to everyone. He was Hot! He killed! And then Whitney came on the scene...So sad.
When American Music Awards were exciting to watch. I remember this performance. Blessed to have been around to witness GREATNESS at its prime. Not only Bobby Brown but music in general.
The King! The bad boy of R & B!!! Bobby was the man during his time! Put some respect on his name!!
One of the greatest performances I've ever seen.
Dude was on Fire.
This is what true talent looks and sounds like!
Singing, dancing and rap,Bobby mastered all that at the same time. You can see where Usher and Cris Brown got it from.Bobby you will always be loved 👏👏
I watched the 1990 AMAs as a 12yr old girl from Sydney, Australia...I agree with other comments that younger generations who did not live it will not understand that Mr Robert Beresford Brown was the King of RnB!! He experienced the loss of a child TWICE which I cannot begin to imagine how difficult must be... thx Bobby for all the great music and great times us Gen Xers got to have 😘
Bobby, did his thing. One hell of a talent.
He killed it...top of his game here
Awesome,BB didn't even break a sweat,undeniably undeniable talent.
Performances like this is long gone
Whitney Houston was correct when she referred to him as the King of R and b. He was extremely talented.
He is a piece of shit.
@@bobboberson2024 if you referring to the drug use..Whitney Houston's own bro admitted he got her started on the coco at an early age. The marriage was also arranged by the industry
@@bobboberson2024 Whitney messed his career up. She was the one that was bad for him.
@@hassanabdur-rahman1559 Dude, please. This isn't even an argument. He is poison.
@@bobboberson2024 like you know him or something. Very ignorant
People sleep on Bobby!!! He was definitely the shit, don't forget!!!
Its so true!

People today probably sleep on Bobby but people from his/my generation know what it is
itsumbre wym he still is
itsumbre aint nobody slept on bobby we all know he was the shit but now he is a former shell of what he was while the rest of the group is still getting it in he fell all the way off
Pure pure TALENT and energy. This is what a Real entertainer is about! Bobby, you rocked it!!
That breath control, and those dance moves were absolutely on point. I was completely impressed. Mo one has come close to him.
MC Hammer was in that ball park.
How could u forget Michael Jackson. MUCH respect to Bobby but NO WHERE NEAR MJ! AND MICHAEL DID IT WAYYY LONGER AND BETTER!!!
Feel and say what you want about him, but at that time he was THE SHIT> PERIOD>

marcus. My man all day 24/7❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Back in the days when artists performed!
Bobby wasn't even sweating,LOL
He was in shape back then and he was a young 19 year old.
He was a beast.
He had to leave the group, They might have been holding him back.
Hakim Davis And doing the REAL RUNNING MAN( LOl)
Bobby was the man
I like the music of this era best. I get bored easily with recent music.
I'm so glad I was brought up in the 90's. This man ruled that era. From award shows, late night show and albums, B. Brown was the MAN. I learned all his dance moves and YES..I had the Gumby....Music was more entertaining and had more depth then now. Don't Be Cruel is and will always be a classic. What this man accomplished, no one can take from him. The King Of Stage...
This is the Bobby Brown that had Janet Jackson willing to risk it all for the D!! Bobby was an amazing entertainer.
You ain't got to bring that up Fancy!
I was just thinking that! 😂
....risk it all for the “D”? What’s that? Sorry, I’m old and do not understand.
He was magnetic on that stage. Can't blame a girl 🤗
Now you know Joseph wasn't having NONE of that. He didn't get them outta Gary Indiana for nothing. I can hear him now from the grave 😅.
Best Bobby Brown solo performance on an award show ever..
Bobby brown one of our greatest performer dancer and singer of all time, GOD given talent unmatched in my opinion.
He was definitely an entertainer ... he could sing and dance.
and rap
All at the same time at that!!!😂
Do u mean he could "dance"?
@@carlabranch8900 duh
Bobby was a dope ass dancer and performer💯✊🏾
My generation always will love BB !! He brought a performance that full of energy ever time !!
I always went to his shows when he came to philly. I even won front row seats and saw Whitney. She walked up on the stage to greet Bobby.🥳them days was fun😊
Look at the moves this dude was doing WHILE singing live...and not a whimper of breath loss.👊🏾🚀
lip syncing
@@rjpg Listen to the vocals again…You can tell he’s live.
@@lew708 some parts of the performance he is lip-syncing especially on the bridge of my prerogative. You can’t sing and do two quick spins without a hard breath being between it. Even still it is an impressive performance either way
I remember this shit when it came on t v i remember ever body talking about it the next day in school

Nobody is perfect morally... But he is one of the best performers in history
Bobby Brown...what a machine in his younger days. The energy in his singing and dancing is contagious!
Bobby in his prime & on top of his game!
Bobby was definitely the King of R&B!! He knew how to captivate an audience for sure! He was cute, with a bubbly type of personality. He was in top of his game and it came natural. He didn't have to do much to get that!!
Hi 👋
How are you doing today??
I have to give it to Bobby. He was a great performer. When I see him on TV now, it's a little bittersweet. I wish he could still dance like Michael was still dancing in his latter years.
An absolute entertainer. His shows were so good.
I recorded this video on VHS when I was in junior high school, and watched it many times!!!😂
At that time in Japan, it was rare to see foreign music on video. MV was one thing, but live performance was especially hard to come by. That’s why I remember being so excited to see Bobby Brown dancing live at this award show.
He kept the tone from the beginning to the end. Flawlessly singing.
After looking at this, I realize how many dance move inventions started here. 100 percent fire. U know u have stage presence when eyes are only kept on u, even with other people on stage.
His energy will forever be unmatched
Bobby was adorable!! His energy was explosive! Always gave his all! What a star! Top class performer in every way! ❤
I don’t know what happened to this man but he surely had it all, unbelievably talented!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥🔥
He is a prime example of WHAT drugs, alcohol and undisciplined lifestyle does to a person. Thank GOD that JESUS held HIS ground and would not buckle. If JESUS had, HE could not have saved my soul. I love YOU, JESUS, and thank YOU for loving me. Thank YOU, thank YOU, thank YOU😭👍🏾🙏🏾.
