🔴Live: How To Crochet A Heart Edge/Edging

- Learn how to crochet a heart border. In today's Live stream I will show you how to make this very pretty edge.
I love how it looks in a contrasting color yarn but you can make it all in the same color. It looks great on baby blankets, scarfs, etc.
This is a live stream so there are some technical issues which I am working hard to resolve.
Written pattern:
This is a repeat of 5 stitches.
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
hdc = half double crochet
ch = chain
st = stitch
Attach yarn to your edge:
Row 1: ch 2, hdc into same st, hdc in each stitch to the end.
Row 2: Ch 3, turn your work, *5 double crochet into next st, skip 3 stitches, 5dc in next st*, rep from * to * to end of row
Row 3: (You will be working your stitches over the 5 dc clusters of the previous row.) ch 3 (turn work), dc into same st (1st dc), dc in next st, sl st in next st (3rd dc st), dc into same st (3rd dc), dc into next st (4th dc st), ch 3, sl st into next st* (5th dc st), sl st into next st (1st dc of next 5dc cluster)*, rep from * to * to end of row

I will pray for you Amen xx

How would you go about doing this stitch around a corner like on an endless granny square blanket?
i will be praying for you that all will go well.. .

saludos desde canada
Hola Ana
How can i put a border over the top of the hearts so the hearts have a top border?
Do u have a border like angle wings???????
I was wondering if you are doing it on a trim for a blanket would you do a half double trim around the whole blanket first then do the second row of five sets of triple all the way around followed by the third row or would you complete the full heart and then go on to the next section of the blanket
Yes, I think that would work best..but you could do each individual edge separately
I love you
Hello! What size yarn and needle did you use? Sorry if I missed it! But thank you!!
p.s. How would you recommend a grandmother, like me, to learning basic Spanish? Do you know an easier method? I've ordered different books and tapes long ago but never found it user friendly...but I'm sure it was probably the user...me! 😆 I'd appreciate any help. Thanks again! 👍
Do you have any patterns to make a baby beanie with a King Charles cavalier dog ?
To use your heart border, how do you do corners
to tell you the truth I haven't tried it in a corner. I will have to experiment on that
Good evening yolanda from holland.This is such a beautifull border for a baby blanket.Wich stich do you recommend for a baby blanket?it can be crochet and the other one with two needles
as long as there are stitches along the edge that you can work your first row of half double crochet it will work.
Praying do u feel better??
yes, thank you for your prayers.
Love the border but want to ask if this edging can go around corners
I haven't tried it yet.. but I think you could just add more stitches. I will have to try
Thanks for replying and I'll give it a shot as well LOL
I hope you’re doing well. I can’t comment on your Facebook page. I don’t know if you can change that? I’m using this to make a crown for my niece.
Por favor quiero un cuello redondo para niña para un vestido paso a paso gracias
Could you use a slightly smaller yarn to make it look more like a heart?
Missy Retzlaff you can use any size you want
You are healed in Jesus name. Amen and Amen. Thanks for your simplicity in your tutorials. God bless you.
