    I loved this little behind the scenes video. I would have had no idea that NSA was a small family business. And I can tell from how this man explains his business, how he was an air gunner before ammo manufacturer first so he gets it, and how he spends seven days a week at his business all of this is appreciated. When I saw his son packing the ammo as carefully as he did and how their ammo consistently has the most uniform shape and weight. Well I’m sold for life. I’m just about to order my .308 AirForce Texan LSS and I think NSA is going to get all of my business before I’ve even fired a bullet. Buy American and support small family business that care about their product and customer service. You won’t get this amount of care and concern for the quality of ammunition for your airgun anywhere else it seems to me. Nice video! Very informative. 👍

    Excellent video. As a former machinist i can really appreciate what yall got going on here. I hope this Virus mess is not being too hard on your operation. Im a new customer from one of your sample packs that will be ordering in bulk from now on. Im thinking my pellet days are pretty much over. My SamYang Sumatra which slugged out at .2505" likes your .250" 30+g product. Really looking forward to trying the 52g/55g BT/HP on my next order. True Americana right here. Thanks for all yall's hard work and how it all comes together.

    And to think, I thought NSA may fall by the wayside should/when H&N JSB and the like got their "slug" act together.
    Having seen your Video Dana, and seen the investment Nick has made and is making in automation, I now feel If he can keep Labour costs down (his and his family wage), then NSA should be a great success long into the future.
    I am already looking forward to what the CNC is gonna turn out.
    He deserves this for trailblazing slugs for Air Guns, thanks Nick.

    NSA makes the best bang for your buck imo, i use the 17.5s in .22 and 29.5s in .25. Both perform very well,
    Tip for extra expansion: on a 29.5 i take a box cutter razor make 5 equal cuts on the rim of the nose then score it down the ojive a little, at 880 fps and at 25 yards they expand on a soft target (large tomato) and big towel backstop i got .457 diameter expansion with the 5 pedals curled back, i love these slugs! Thanks NSA! And Mountainsport airguns for the tour!

    Verry informative video,always been wondering how slugs are swaged...just a tip from a guy missing the top digit of his right index finger(me) at 6:03 you can see how that could happen to the person(any) handling the swage...as you mentioned,it stops at the top...no matter if there's a finger inbetween or not(ik know :-/)...making the operation two-handed would make sure this cant happen and YES, i know that will slow down the proces...but even more so will do an accident and on top of that,fingers dont grow back(i've been wayting for that to happen for 27 years now)...

    That whole system is really easy😀 I'm definitely about to start my own airgun slug manufacturing company with my kid's, but the only difference from this company is my packaging is going to have an individual slot for each round so they aren't rubbing together in those boxes because those slugs can and will definitely get damaged during shipping or stacking👍

    So I'm sure you get this question all the time, but inquiring minds want to know. When are you going to expand into making "Diabolo" style pellets? There's certainly a market for a cold pressed/milled pellet given the type of consistency you've achieved with your slugs? So, any plans for this in your future, a lot of BR shooters would certainly love to know.
    Thanks

      Air guns are actually turning more and more away from pellets and more towards slugs. FX has really been pushing it hard for a short time now so pellets will be at some point a thing of the past

    • @imnotimportant
      @imnotimportant 4 роки тому +4

      @@snipercam11 Slugs will not be in competition (except I foresee there being a slug division in the big american bench shooting ones). And there are a lot of times when you simply wouldnt want to use slugs. Pest control in close environments, target shooting, and shooting small game that you want to eat (birds mostly). Also, with European 12ft/lb requirements, slugs will never be viable there. Not to mention not all guns shoot slugs accurately.

    My fx wildcat mk2 .40 absolutely loves the 49 grain slugs. It's unbelievable how accurate i can shoot then. But in my dad's they suck. Like he said rifling is very important along with fps. Just 10 fps can change a group that's why alot of guys stay with pellets. But when you begin to learn your gun and desire more knock down power you'll grab a slug because you know how to tune your AG to get the highest accuracy. But nielson slugs are so well made a beginner has a great chance of just buying a slug that around the same weight as there pellet and have excellent groups. Air gunning is a hobby you have to love and respect and your AG will give you the same back.
