Character in Spanish is "personaje". The Spanish word carácter means mood or personality

i've been learning Spanish for about a week. and i started because i watched la casa de papel lol. i was just looking for a new language to learn, and then i watched this incredible show in Spanish with English subtitles just to see if i like the language before choosing it. and i fell in love. both with the show and the language (and Berlin:)) but this time i decided to try a different thing. instead of learning a language, i am attempting to acquire it. so i haven't studied any grammar rules or anything. all i did was take a couple of lessons with rosetta stone and watched la casa de papel. i also switched my phone to Spanish. and now i watched this video, and i actually could understand a lot from it! of course, it's much due to the subtitles the author provided and because i recognized a lot of latin roots that English and Spanish words share and it helped me understand the meaning. but anyway,i can actually feel how much more natural the language learning is going rather than if i simply started conquering grammar with some textbook. i still adore textbooks and good old boring ways of learning a language, and it's definitely going to be a part of language learning routine. but i believe trying to acquire a language instead of studying thoroughly is a much more effective way. it can help you with the basics at least. i hugely advise acquiring a language instead of traditionally learning it.

Alf Tanner yes! Thanks for sharing your experience. I very much agree that first when you find the passion for a language (like through this amazing show & Berlin😉) you are more interested in the grammar side of it. Also, after hearing it a little bit and then studying you have those moments like “oh ok so that’s why they used that ending/conjugation etc. like that in the show.” Keep up the awesome work & I am still improving on my Spanish too 🙌🏾

Hola Jade! Sugiero un app que se llama HelloTalk. Es bien para aprender lenguas. Puedes tener conversaciones con personas de todo el undo y que hablan la lengua que quieres aprender.
