Great video, thanks. For many Finns, the forest is their church.

If you feel lonely ? Have a walk in the forest and let it speak to you.

Aww it's so heartwarming to see other people look at Finland. As a Finnish person, I don't have this type of wonder because things have been normalized so much. Sometimes I forget how lovely the country I live in is. I feel like Americans need to see Finland just to see how great it is.

Sausage roasted on campfire with mustard after hours hiking in forest is peak culinary experience 😋

Did you know that spending five minutes in the forest reduces the amount of the stress hormone cortisol in your blood? Blood pressure drops, heart rate calms, and muscle tension eases. Twenty minutes is enough to improve your mood. To enhance concentration, 10 to 55 minutes in the forest is needed

Thanks for keeping your voice low. Finns used be taught that never shout or make unnecessary noise, as this disturbs not only the animals but also the spirits.

Once we went mushroom picking with my wife. She somehow got lost and she left her Phone in the car. She told me that she must have screaming for good fifteen minutes before I heard her voice.
So there is a good chance that that particular forest has no more spirits, wildlife or even trees. Sorry about that.

I feel so happy for you, that you have learned to enjoy Finnish forests! I have lived here all my life and I love them too!
You are right, that the forests are not scary here in Finland. The criminals lurk in big cities, not in forests. Brown bears and wolves are extremely rare to meet, because they are even more scared of humans than we are of them. Still some city people are too scared of them and they will never learn to enjoy our awesome forests. In summer time you need to prepare yourself for ticks, mosquitos and some other nuisances. But it's really not that big deal when you learn the right methods. I would recommend wearing rubber boots if you plan to walk off the trails or if there is rain or dew out there.
My favourite activity in forest is to monitor different life forms and phenomena in nature and recognize different species. Every year I find something that I have never seen before and then I need to find out about it. It makes me so happy to learn about them!
P.S. If someone didn't know, there are "every man's rights" in Finland. It means that you are free to walk and pick berries or mushrooms, no matter who owns the forest. BUT.... you must respect the forest also: don't harm the trees or the ground, don't leave any trash, don't make a campfire without permission... etc. in a forest that you don't own.

I also love Finland forests. I often walk there when it's pitch black. You start to hear all kinds of noises like your hear senses get so over activated.
