I love it, a Cosi where they actually look 15. Fabulous singing.
i like this woman's singing, its light which is good for the character, she's not supposed to be one of those super loud singers with the horn helmet and braids, i think she did a great job.

De Niese is just great here. Ok everybody agrees she's far from the best interpretation we've heard, but at least we have a play here that is good, and actors fits the ages of characters. It's something that I appreciate. The modern aspect is something that I like also, it's very well done and I'm not shocked by the choice of the turning set, it's convenient and it's not THAT cheap ^^
By the way the video starts a bit late.
I like her voice because it is similar to mine, and as for the people who say her voice is too small, that type of role is a soubrette, and the soubrette vocal range is very light and fine, so it is not meant to be very big and loud.
I simply adore Danielle de Niese! And Maite Beaumont! They act/sing so naturally, with great vocal and scenic charm. Can You please upload the finale of act I (with such a great actors it must be brilliant!), Dorabella/Guglielmo duet or Bella vita militar scene... Anything! Thanks a lot!
This is one of the arias that helped introduce me to the Mozart repertoire many years ago. Wish you well.

Yes, twice. Once in a dreamcast with Bryn Terfel and Cecilia Bartoli in Le Nozze as Barbarina (2001 IIRC), once as Suzanna in LeNozze in 2008 or 2009.

I am not going to defend the morals of "Così" but I'm surprised that you take exception to this detail. Despina is trying to induce the sisters into befriending the two strangers in a way that goes a somewhat further than holding hands. :-)
To give Dorabella a pack of condoms seems the sensible thing to do. What would you suggest?
15 anni have little to do with it: both sisters are engaged so have an age where you are worried that irreversible things happen if you don't take precautions.
The whole final lasts 20 minutes and amounts to 170 MB, so I have to break that up. But yes, it is brilliant. Stay tuned, I'll see what i can do.

With all due respect to Jos van Kanand, I object to the condom episode not on some moral grounds but because I ask , What does this add, positively, to the opera above and beyond that which was originally written ? I contend that it doesn't add anything. I think, rather, it subtracts from the opera and makes this scene explicit sexually when it was never explicit in the libretto - it didn't have to be. The scene is supposed to be a subtle reference to amorous adventure rather than being bludgeoned by a direct and explicit reference to sex. What does it add to this beautiful opera to imagine it in contemporary times ?
I agree about the audience. A bit uncharacteristic for this theater

Then again, it could be the conductor's fault as he does leave quite a long pause, more than usual, on that final bit, and that could confuse some members of the audience, who are less familiar with Cosi.

then leave it out. completely unnecessary. e quindici anni si e' rilevante; l'aria si tratta di quello che deve saper fare una donna a quella eta', e non c'e' nessuna parola nel libretto che tare che una di quella capacita' e usare un preservativo. lasciaci almeno qualcosa di immaginare.
Mah ! Certamente De Niese sa stare sul palcoscenico con molta disinvoltura, ma la voce e l'interpretazione sarebbero acettabili in una studentessa del conservatorio., non certamente in una cantatnte professionista
Maybe your appraisal is a bit extreme, but I do think there's some truth to what you say.....I'm very sorry to say that Danielle is not in the top tier of sopranos.
On a different note, I think the opera is much better and more enjoyable when presented as being in the year 1790 rather than in our contemporary age.
As for the condom gift from maid Despina.....NO, NO, NO !
Oh, soooo boring! This singer has very scarce vocal resources, I don't really think she should be ranked among first line singers, not even second.
Good singing, don't like the cheap soft porn set and dress; plus ill advised audience who clap before the end of the aria, honestly...
