I always liked Richard Deacon (aka Mel Cooley) ever since his days on The Dick Van Dyke Show. I understand he was well liked by the all the people he worked with. Seemed like a really nice guy.
@@HansDelbruck53 yeah, that's true, the funniest episode in my opinion was when 🐻 laid out a bunch of barrel hoops in the Rutherfords backyard to get back at lumpy but the father tripped over them instead
At least when a contestant lost and was being spun away Richard Dawson always waved and blew a kiss. He didn't sit there and plug his show unlike Bob Barker. Match Game was never the same again.
When Brett asked to see the question for the umteenth millionth time, at 16:57 the camera caught Gene looking a little pissed with her always having to see the question after not "understanding" it just to get her mug on camera
Most people would read it to them self. Not Brett she has to put on a show and try to read in on air for more airtime. Then she brags about how wounderfull she is. I glad it all on camera to see what a witch that woman was...
@@randydellinger2996 lol. Did you see the episode where Richard brings in a picture of Gene sewing a sock? The picture was taken in his 20s and when Richard shows it to him, he kisses his own picture.
Richard was the heart of this show. Brett's hatred of him ruined this show. I'm glad he finished his contract and moved on with his own show which kicked Match Games butt.
If Richard were still playing - being the huge socialist that he was - I'm sure he would have said, "Workers of the world unite." Workers of the world.
Well, that's why a lot of panelists, on MG and other shows, showed up so that they could plug whatever. Still happens today. Just part of the process. Get used to it.
He plugged his show since 1973. Calm down. Besides, I like it. Too bad Gene didn't do appearances on TPIR to plug Match Game. Maybe he did, but the videos haven't turned up yet.
Thank you so much ! Been a wonderful third straight Match Game with these great celebrities !
Would have been better sans Brett, plus Richard.

You forgot Mr Rutherford on leave it to beaver, but yeah, he is one 😎 🐱
He sure was abrasive on this show. Not a favorite panelist of mine by any stretch.
@@donaldleroy6502 Didn't forget Fred Rutherford, but I didn't see him as often on LITB.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I've seen him on here so many times, and never clued in!
"Frost" was a gift, there can be frost without it snowing

They were both camera hogs.
@@danbaranowski you lot are SO dumb Brett, Charles and Gene were BEST friends.
Makes you wonder why they kept the old hag.
He got mad at Brett for interfering in him cracking a joke at Fanny.

Does anybody else think the definitive answer is bring your own food?
Ha!
My first thought was exactly the same as the challenger's! Too bad no on one the panel matched.
I was torn between teacher and principal on that school question.
Charles is hilarious!
Jim was very handsome and had a great smile. Glad he’s on our side.
His wife was beautiful
$10,000 was great for the Major. A Major’s pay in 1975 was about $15,000 per year. I know, I was one.
Sweet of Bob Barker to join
Match Game...🙂
A couple of decades later, one of the answers could have been "King of the World"...
ROFL! Ok another fine episode! ;0) Team work win there Fannie! ;0)
those morning game shows and sitcom reruns was a good time...
PURPLE PACEMAKER...😂😂😂😂
I thought gene was so handsome
Linda Servansky Me too, but watching these for months now has taught me he could be a jerk sometimes.
Gene thought so too.
@@randydellinger2996 lol. Did you see the episode where Richard brings in a picture of Gene sewing a sock? The picture was taken in his 20s and when Richard shows it to him, he kisses his own picture.
Gene was a dirty old man.
Gene was in the Air Force and he can’t distinguish the Marine Corps from the Army, really sad.
Richard Dawson was too busy kissing his mirror to appear as panelist. What a pleasure to watch without him.
Swing and a miss David. Try again.

No, he wanted out of his contract because he was hosting Family Feud. If you want to talk about kissing mirrors, look no further than Brett.
YEP!
Gene does anything ( no matter how stupid) to put his arm around a girl. It must have been the mid-life crisis.
The answer is a purple prostate.
If Richard were still playing - being the huge socialist that he was - I'm sure he would have said, "Workers of the world unite." Workers of the world.
Huh??
Socialism 😂😂😂😂😂
Bob’s only been there 2 days and I’m already tired of him plugging his show.
Show was on the same channel as MG, was very popular and successful, why wouldn't he plug Price is Right?

Why?

I know, it's just so AWFUL because it's not saint Richard plugging HIS show
Dang... I think Brett is waking and bakin’... what is up with those big sunglasses 🤨🤔🤔🤔
She was desperate for any attention, no mather how stupid she looks..
You've watched this show HOW many times
Brett has worn those sunglasses for HOW many years
Why is it so hard for Brett to hear and understand each questions
So many of you think that this is "THE TRUMAN SHOW".
Get over yourselves.
This is showbiz.
No hard feelings between anyone of them
I like Richard Dawson and i could do without Brett and CNR.
