H/H match update for episode 1338: ... ~~~Today's action: First, let me say that I don't like the applause track added to Johnny's opening roll call which started yesterday and will apparently be an ongoing element of the show. I think a big round round of applause after Gene is introduced and as he enters the set is appropriate and adequate. The second I heard the question, I knew our champ wouldn't be able to match all 5 remaining celebs to achieve the tie she needed to stay in the game. Some questions just don't have a single answer that screams out, and this was one of those. Right off the bat, she scores a surprising match with Nipsey, but Brett, Judy, and Betty all had different answers. Gary also matched (and Charles sat this one out, having matched the prior question). And so, our champion is defeated after two wins, but she did score a $2,000 H/H match with Judy, bringing her total prize money to $2,800 (and our best wishes, says Gene). *Today's audience match question: "Angel of________"* (My thoughts: Mercy, Death, the Night) The celebs: Charles (Mercy), Betty (Death), Gary (Love) The choice: Mercy The answers: Death, Heaven, Mercy Good start for our new champion. Wheel time. Today's special star is... it's Charles, but just one click away from Betty! But no double. Stats: Charles has been playing about once a week lately. 1322 (match) and 1333 (match) were his most recent questions. He's matched 17 of his 32 most recent attempts (53.1%), and 41 of 81 attempts overall (50.6%). This is now his 82nd H/H question... *Today's H/H question: "Pick and_______"* (My first thought was that this is another gimme. Pick and choose. Nothing else is really coming to me. Oh, what about the tool? Pick and shovel? No, I'll stick with my first thought.) Our newly crowned champion has already made up her mind before Gene re-spells the question for CNR. He begins to write and files his card, without any input from Brett or anyone else today. The champ immediately gives the same answer I'd thought of. The audience is positive, about an 8 or 9 (I've heard stronger reactions). Charles has a sort of sour expression, but that doesn't mean much. He could be trying to come up with a convincing fake-out. He talks about construction, hinting at pick and shovel, but whips his card around: Choose. Charles scores his 42nd H/H match today. ~~~Here's our updated leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: (An asterisk before a celebrity's name signifies that she or he has "retired" from the show and their H/H stats are now complete.) (*)Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 matches in 18 attempts). (*)Richard - 42.5% (373 matches in 878 attempts). (Note: episode 849 was never produced.) These stats do, however, include the H/H results of missing episode 968 as those results were revealed in episode 969. There was no H/H in missing episode 1035, as we learn in 1036. These stats do, however, include results of episodes 1309 through 1317, found on channels other than this one.

@@georgemaster9271 Thank you for your sharing ! thats not being a snowflake, its just common courtesy to not be an asshole to someone about their weight or about anything! why is that so hard to understand?
Hello my name is hello, I agree with you. About 90 percent of the humor is fine, but then there is the rest, which is personal. That's where it just goes in a wrong way and is not right, especially to a contestant.
Up until now i thought Gene’s ‘kissing’ thing was innocent. I know he definitely loved his wife because everytime she was mentioned he said he loved her, and their appearances on tattletales shows they really did love each other. But this week with Judy (a 19-year-old) is making me think he really did have some problems…
ROFL! Another fine episode and watch it Charles, Gene is in grey today.. ;0) ROFL! I love that look she gave Gene! ;0) Finally Gene is acting again.. ;0) ROFL! Love ya Betty! Nice try! ;0)
Genes comment to Bobbi was rude, and I noticed he wasn't hanging all over her like he does with the young pretty females. I guess one can say Gene was pretty shallow and full of himself. He sure was giddy when Bobbi lost.
No one noticed that at the end of the game the score wad three to two and when Gary showed the correct answer he tried to be funny and said phone booth which didn't make sense but because he wrote booth Ira gave it a ding first and then changed his mind and didn't give Bobby the point which would have made it a tie at three to three and they would have to go to a tie breaker to get the true winner, but as you saw that's not what happened
But booth wasn't a match. They were all saying it but Bobbi the contestant had said Washington. She didnt match anybody in 2nd round. Her 2 points came from first round.

Angel of the morning by Juice Newton?

Gene's Elmer Fudd impression sounded more like Barry Kripke from Big Bang Theory.
...I love the Theatre.
Gene actually told Bobbi not to break the wheel. She gave him that look. This would be a public shaming scenario now in The Snowflake Age.
