I'm one of those people who like to see what's going on under shrink tubing. I prefer to use clear for inspection purposes. I've never found clear in your typical hardware store, more like electrical supply houses or online suppliers. Great idea though... thanks!
Im learning so much as i watch daily. The gear and its functions make sense. I can't help wondering is the rope one better than the mechanical wrench? The content is awesome and showing it work helps to understand it better. Thanks
Tip: You'll want to use a size that is larger than the one in the video. @0:58 you can read twoo numbers, 5/8 and 5/32. These numbers are the before and after size (diameter). Here one is 1/4 of the other, this is also indicated by the shrink ratio on the bag. The ratio is usually about 4:1 to 3:1. You want to chooze a heat shrink with a small (after) size that is just a little less than the thing you want to wrap. Otherwise there is a greater risk of tearing itself to bits. Put on those skinny jeans of your rocking son and bent through your knees. See what happens. 🤣🤣

You could use a hair dryer on high heat as well. Also put another one on it will be like steel.
I didn't know that you could use a hair dryer. Thanks for that!

Might have to revisit the wrench....😁😁😁
Nice, Take care!
Where can i buy that thether
It's a rock climbing quick draw tether. REI.
Awesome. Though I might suggest using a heat gun. They're Super cheap nowadays.
You are right you get a better result with a heat gun.
Chingon Bino.
Thank you!
I wonder how fool proof this is in terms of damaging your tether. 🤔
I've used this on two of my tethers and the is still no visible damage. It's possible to damage it you use a flame and hold in place for too long.
