I am wondering IF the reason Indians are taught not to eat fruits after a meal is because many Indians drink milk, buttermilk, eat ghee, yogurt, cheese. These fermented foods cause reactions in the stomach and colon. They can cayse curdling of the milk and yogurt, and truly a discomfirt. Whereas in the traditional East Asian cultures (China, Japan) before western fast foods entered their market, they never eat yogurt or drink animal milk. In fact, fruit is served as a dessert to help digestion. Through research, we now also know that when you eat a high salt meal with animal protein, the stomach can produce nitrosamines. And the best way to prevent that chemical reactions in the stomach is to eat high vitamin-C fruits. Animal meat and milk has no vitamin C.
@@Arugula100 some fruits are ok. For example mango is a supper fruit it is actually recommended to eat mango after a meal. You can also make mango milkshake. And drink milk after eating a mango. Infact mango is so warm in nature it causes lots of heat I. The body so it is recommended to drink milk or lassi after mango and make mango milk shake to balance the heat from mango.
