I have just recently starting watching your videos. I heard you mention inyour video that you were 57 years old. I am currently 52 years old and always hunted but have lost the passion to hunt like i use to. Watching your videos and the way you hunt (which is real hunting, not hunting over a bait pile) has inspired me, despite my age. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation.
Enjoyed watching can’t wait to meet you in a couple weekends at the bow shoot, I’m fixing to start Scouting myself, we’re gonna have some cooler weather in a few days over here in Alabama and yeah trees look like they did get hooked by some hogs
I am looking to start saddle hunting! Just wondering how many climbing sticks you use and how high you can get in a tree with what you carry? Really enjoy your content….thanks!
Keep after it. It wont be long and we will be in a treestand! I hunt hill country and love hunting pinch points that follow the contours of the deep ditches about 1/3 the way up the hills leading to points with saddles. I really like these spots when they are downwind of known bedding areas during the rut.
Uncle Jeremy..its almost time!!! Its mid 60s here in sw Louisiana and i got the itch than only be scratched one way 😂. Sep 21 cant get here fast enough..gonna lay em down 😮💨💪
Jeremy you spend every minute you can with your old friend ,,mine is gone now and the last few years I spent every minute I could with him and I am sure thankful that I did that.
Yes, I know what you mean. Stella is my second one most times you only get one best friend in a dog in a lifetime, but Jessie was my first had her for 14 years.
Thanks for taking us along and letting us know what you are looking for. What binoculars are you using? Is that what you prefer for hunting? Would you use different binoculars for hunting out west or do you prefer the same ones? Thank you!!!
@@doityourselfhunter9031 I could tell. My younger brother is in the gym all the time and his arms are still pretty small. I hate working out but I turn 54 in October and for me it is the only way to keep the weight off and not be huffing and puffing going up the hills. The mule deer are in trouble this year if you keep up all those long scouting trips in the heat. Best of luck again.
It's time to start scouting, I just keep putting it off because it's still pretty hot. It never bothered me when I was younger. Hope I never lose the thrill, even though the nice bucks keep getting harder to locate. Watching this good video helps gets my interest activated, Thanks
just curious, what state are you scouting here? If you are not comfortable disclosing that info0rmation then no worries. Looks fun! Ive been fishing alot from my boat but I may have to take the boy out to scout some this weekend after watching this.
Alright ch'all - let's go!!! Looking forward to another great season of content from DIYH!! Thanks for taking us along!!
You bet!

Good luck! I hope you get a good one this year.
I've seen so many BIG bucks already 😊
Thanks for the update and for sharing your scouting experience with Stella. The prep work you are putting in will pay off !
That's the plan!
Best hunting channel on UA-cam

Thanks again for showing us what you are looking for and thinking.
Found a few white oak today that definitely had oaks couple of others I couldn't tell. Can't wait to see what in there feeding.
Stella was the definition of “my dogs are tired” that day😂

Leupold BX-4 10 x 42 I use the same, but on this Mule deer hunt I plan on going I bought me a spoting scope.
I thought I saw your vehicle in town that day! Glad you didn’t get too hot it warmed up pretty good that afternoon
Yes it did warm up pretty good.
I walked 3 miles today. Found one scrape. Put out two cameras. Bow season started today in my part of SC
Good luck
Good dog.
I'm sure ready to do some scouting but these triple digit temps in Texas are horrific.
Thanks for taking us along 👍👍
You got some big arms for not working out. You must have had a physical job. Good luck in your preparation for the hunting season.
I have done my share of physical work.

Did 3miles and hung a stand today ,, it wild the pigs in are part of Arkansas that do that to trees to
Somebody is crossing into arkansas.
Looks like porcupine ate the bark on that tree
We don't have any porcupine in the south as far as I know.
I love hunting a good creek crossing
Yeah pigs will do it to get sap onem for bugs. Good stuff Jeremy
Okay that's what I figured it was.

Yes the older I get I don’t like hot weather either.

Very unappealing to be in the woods in the south in August
Yes, you got to have a little bit of a front come through and wind shift out of the north.
Nothing but dead ash in my area in Western New York
I have seen a lot of areas to the north of me that all the ash are dead. I hope it stay's out of the southern hardwood stands with ash in them.
I'm super surprised you don't pick mushrooms out on your adventures?!
I have never eaten mushrooms.
Do you think it could have been a bear do that?
What camera do yall film with?
GoPro 12 and Sony ax 700
What kind of boat is that?
Do you have any poison ivy in your neck of the woods?
Yes, lucky it has never bothered me.
How old is Stella?
Will be 7 in December
