- Henry
Thank you, my Friend! 🙏 Your city is beautiful! I can’t wait to return! Yes, that episode should be a good one! 😁
great!
Nice one Rich, gotta get there
Looking forward to more Barcelona footage i miss skating there myself
I can’t wait to go back! 😁
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You're making it look so easy, flowing, very relaxing :)
Thanks, it’s day 1, I was adjusting to the environment. And also, the chill flow is way underrated! 😁
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤
Nice control :D
Thanks Bud! 👍
Love skating in Barcelona, an amazing place ! Still buy my skates from Inercia 😎
I was like a little kid in a sweet shop when I went to Inercia! 😁
@@RichHayterSkater same 🤣 I rented the last time I was there, the wife didn't let me bring my FR1s. I got my way in the end haha! Need to get back over there..
My wife, thankfully, is unbelievably tolerant! 😁🙏
@@RichHayterSkater mine too. Imagine having to put up with me🤣 it was our anniversary weekend, so me skating on my own would've crossed the line haha
It would! 😂
Nice fun! How did u travel with the skates? Send them ahead of time (post) or no problems with taking them as cabin luggage?
When I went to NYC, I contacted United, who were fine with me carrying them onboard as hand luggage. For Barcelona, we flew with EasyJet, and I was concerned they would be tighter with their dimensions, so I packed them in my case. No probs. 👍
That looks like so much fun!! I wish I could brake the way you do. I am trying but ending up in only making sharp turns. I feel very unsecure trying to brake the way you do. Afraid to fall. I noticed that you always brake with your right skate. Can you also do it with your left skate?
Yes, my left brake works just fine but my right tends to be the default.
The power stop is really useful but the drag stop is more beneficial since it allows you to control your speed as well as stop. It’s nothing to look at but it’s what I’d recommend you work on, as it’ll give you the confidence to slow down and stop when you need to.
@@RichHayterSkater Thanks! Working on the drag stop isn't too hard for me. Dragging with my right skates goes a lot easier then with my left skate but I am getting there. Need to master more stop techniques.
hey rich, how do you rotate wheels on these frames to maintain the rocker? i assume you have rotated them a few times already. :)
Yes, have rotated several times. Tbh, I don’t apply any science to this at all. I do switch from left to right as I see more wear on my right skate due to stopping and sliding. Probably a bit less to think about with this since they use mixed wheel sizes - 100/90. What I tend to do is, for the 100mm wheels, I’ll keep the front wheel always at the front but swap it from right to left. For the 90mm in the middle, I’ll swap them right to left and also switch their position; so, right wheel 2 becomes left wheel 3. Hope that makes sense! 😁
nice flow !
how are those frames ?
i'm currently (fairly new to skating) on Frx 80's, with my 43 boot, but it feels to short and not that stable. I do like it's agility, but rockered frames will provide that aswell in longer frames.
When i ride one footed, or jump on/off/over stuff, there's this millisecond it feels like i'm gonna tip over backwards...
I want to change, but i'm not sure to go 90 or 100 for urban/cruising/jumps/all around ?
Mostly doing a tour downtown like in your other video where you test these frames for the first time.
90 feels like 'not enough extra' compared to 80, but 100 might be to long... though lots and lots of ppl (even with smaller boots) say 100mm is the sweet spot.
So are these the best of both worlds as an in between ? ! (for someone like me who can't decide hehe)
What do you prefer ... 90 , 100, or this mix ? (your bootsize is only one up from mine i see)
I’m really like these. Was concerned they would feel too long, but the rocker really helps with this. I don’t think I’d like to go as long as 4x100 though.
I’d be keen to try a rockered 4x90, think it might be the sweet spot for me.
@@RichHayterSkater thx for the reply. Oh no 100's for you? And why would you think 90's will be 'better' for you than these? I'm not sure if i go for these, with 165mount, and i want to buy new boots someday... It has to be 165 mount ones... And i'd really like the Seba CJ's. So the Rockin' 90 or 100's with that adapter would work for both 165 and ufs...
I have roller skating
👍
