For anyone who is looking to fix this low budget Just use a super glue and baking soda 1st put a little glue on the hole and apply a pinch of backing soda n Then repeat You don't need a lot you just need 2 3 drops of super glue and 1 or 2 pinch of baking soda. I have used the industrial tape, and this method too but didn't last even a day. If you are looking for a clean finish, I suggest letting a Pro with proper tools do it.
Try 91% rubbing alcohol and a rough piece of paper towel to remove the felt. It works well and doesn't carry the risk of rubbing away the vinyl material that sandpaper would.
Patch the hole with E6000 glue, available in grocery stores, drug stores, hardware stores, Walmart. You do not need to glue on a layer of any rubber or plastic. The glue alone works. Allow at least 3 hours drying time.
Wish I had known this. Our tween's brand new Intex sofa/bed with cup holders deflated the very 1st camping trip with it. I woke up to find her chest & head on the floor. She was so heartbroken because she had not flopped on it or rough housed & it gave her so much more space in her room of our cabin tent. But we're professional cosplayers & were working an event that weekend. I ALWAYS keep E-6000 in my makeup case to use for emergency prop repairs. Thank you for the tip. We couldn't return it because it was a gift but she loved it so much we didn't have the heart to throw it away without attempting to repair the very awkward seem hole on a folding section
Crazy this comment got noticed twice In 2 days, popped my dinghy earlier and hoping this e6000 glue does the job. I've partly patched it with inner tube glue "rubber adhesive" just need something that definitely will hold
Looks more robust than the self adhesive patches but how do stop the glue from seeping through the hole and bonding the two inner surface of the mattress together at ua-cam.com/video/q1f8uYNWfiw/v-deo.html Plus, a tin of HH-66 is a good chunk of the cost of a new mattress and I suspect it has a relatively short shelf life. Now if you camp a lot, have a lot of kids and a lot of air mattresses and have to deal with leaks regularly it might be a good option, but for the rest of us maybe not.
Thank you so much sir, for your sharing this information, surely it Will help me or the other people. It's great job for kindness. BUT i'm from Indonesia, where can i get this Product/Glue ?!
The spray didn't work I had to use my ear to find it. Temp fixed it tmmw going to gorilla glue till it can't breathe abs a patch oll school like kids with hole in jeans..cheapest way...not buying high dollar kit..In fact I may just use masking take with glue on bottom
Thanks for this video. My own air couch is leaking on the side seam. will the HH-66 work on the are that feels like fabric as well? Since the leak is in between the rubber and the fabric. Thank you.
Typically if the area that needs fixed has the felt feeling fabric coated on the vinyl, the felt should be removed before the repair. If it is not removed sometimes the HH-66 cannot bond well to the vinyl fabric.

If you want want the patch to actually last, add the sheet of vinyl! It spreads out the pressure created by the hole! Just glue is a temporary fix.
Genial 😁
Gracias !!!
Can i just apply the glue? I dont have any felt. And do i need to sand that top side? What if i don't?
No felt is better, simply apply the HH-66.
I'm just gonna put the hh-66 on the hole. No sanding. No felt cover. Will it hold you think?
Can this be used to repair a pvc air mattress?
