Two of my favourite musical sources, especially on UA-cam. Jeremy's 'Playing Solo Jazz Piano' is a current study of mine and Doctor Mortensen's 'The Pianist's Guide to Historic Improvisation' is sat ready and waiting in my collection also. Great to see this team up.
Czerny taught the same concepts in regard to music modelling, and he quoted Haydn saying it. The earlier works by Beethoven were strongly influenced by Mozart's works, and so on....it looks like it's always the same laws at work, really. With variations....
