I do agree there is a crochet season. I think October is perfect to start the season. I love all your organizing ideas and recommendations. The sunflowers are great. 🌻
I love how you share all of your prototypes. It's fun to see your thinking process. 😊
Hi there, I don't have a season, I crochet all year long. August begins my Christmas making season, I am blessed and have family that are always requesting a crocheted item. Chicken of the month sounds fun!
I feel the exact same way! I feel like the end of summer is when I plan out all my projects for Christmas! and then the new year I plan summer projects :D
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sunflowers! 🌻
I'm so excited you liked the idea about the CAL Chickens. I hope you/we do them! You're always on point with your color combos, can't wait to see what you come up with! -Meg
No crochet season for me either. I crochet all year long. I have health issues and it helps my hands stay flexible and it’s a great way to binge watch shows.🤣
Chicken of the month!! Hysterical-I love it! Let’s do it!!
I know, riiiiight, @kendallprice2676!?? Totally! 🌸🌼🌺
Looking forward to the sunflower tutorial. ❤❤❤ sunflowers! Chicken of the month sounds hysterical. 😅 great idea.
Oh I am so glad, @fionastube2011! Thank you!! 🌸🌼🌺
My crochet season is ALL year long.... it is my mental therapy tool. Thankful that I can make useful items. This week I bagged 10 bags of crochet items to send to the relief of our North Carolina hurricane victims. Toboggans, scarves, blankets, shawls, capes, etc. Recovery is slow and it is now turning cold in our mountains. I LOVE the sunflower!!! They are my favorite flowers. I plant them every spring in every crevasse I can find. Thank you SO much for all your tutorials and patterns. Keep up the fabulous work. I love your videos and watch new and old all the time. Much love from NC USA
That's awesome, @mrsladyhummingbird3229! Thank you!! 🌸👍🌺
I thank you for showing us your design process. I'm the type of person who follows a pattern to the letter the first time and then bend it to my will , so to speak.
That makes sense, @jimdaley1060! Thank you! 🌺🌷🌺
I love the chicken of the month idea🥰
Me too, @CharleneHudspeth! Thank you! 🌷🌸🌷
I am planning on making an “emotional support chicken” in my calendar already.
Sunflower coasters beautiful ❤
Thank you, @debraweger3915! 🌈🌼🌸
I crochet all year long. I'm always looking for something new to make. I love those sunflowers!
Oh thank you so much, @NonnaE828! 🌺🌻🌸
My crochet season is all year. However, I tend to get excited about planning the year in early January & I crochet a heap of blankets over Autumn & Winter which is March to August. I tend to crochet smaller things during our Summer. I always love the bloopers at the end, Christa! 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
Oh I am so glad, @kerrynwright! Thank you!! 🌸🌼🌺

Sorry but everyday is crochet season for me. I crochet all year around. I only get to see your lives maybe three times a year. But like watching the replays. Thank you for brightening up my weeks.
Oh thank you so much, @dawnlatorre8194! HUGS! 🌺🌻🌸
Love the idea of the chick of the month
Me too, @maelindaj! Thank you! 🌷🌸🌷
Chicken of the month sounds fun 😂🎉
I agree @debraweger3915! 👍 Thank you! 🌺🌻🌸
October is perfect for start off crochet season. ☘
I agree @violettabiedowicz1061! 👍 Thank you! 🌺🌻🌸
No crochet season for me, it’s an ongoing thing. I don’t crochet everyday (it’s a health thing) but the type of project varies. Although I am more blanket-prone in the fall. 😊
That's awesome, @fionastube2011! Thank you!! 🌸👍🌺
I crochet all year, and work on whatever strikes my fancy. Sometimes, I will have requests for something specific.
Sounds fabulous, @jent5704! Thanks! 🌺🌷🌸
HI Christa 🎉 I have no specific crochet season..I crochet all the time. Fall is my favorite. I make a list of all the projects I want to try. Never rush myself ❤
I agree @patdancer985! 👍 Thank you! 🌺🌻🌸
When I work with the velvet type yarn I always use a smaller than recommended size hook. Love the idea of Chicken of the month!
That's a great idea, @pinkopal1195! 👍 Thanks!! 🌺🌼🌸
All year long, but not consistently. I noticed it goes with life and mood. Stress makes me crave soft things. 😅
Hi, @libbyunwin3594!! Thank you! 🌻🌺🌼
Oh, that sunflower coaster is adorable! My crochet season is the whole year, only the projects change depending on the weather. I prefer lighter shawls and little projects when its hot, like nothing thicker than a 3mm hook, and my thicker shawls, blankets and such i crochet when its colder.
Hi, @VioletPapillon!! Thank you! 🌻🌺🌼
Hello from Washington State, October is best to start warm crochet projects👍
I agree @kathleengibbons841! 👍 Thank you! 🌺🌻🌸
Congrats Christa. Love your inspiration ❤️
Thank you, @loricalnon5836! 🌈🌼🌸
I'm a year round crocheter. 🌻love them. I'm a tutorial kinda girl...this way I'm spending time with you as well👍.🫶🫵💐
Awe! Thank you so much, @teresauplinger1601! 🌺🌷🌺
I love Chick of the month!
Oh I am so glad, @SuddenEden! Thank you!! 🌸🌼🌺
What a fun video!! I love learning your process. Those sunflowers are awesome, those I need to make!! I like that October works for you, I'm thinking February works for me. It's not hot yet here so I can do big projects or at least plan for them and by June I need small projects because it's so hot and humid without air conditioning. October and November and December are so full of Christmas and birthday projects and being in different places and it's hurricane season here. Which is why I'm crocheting at a friend's house in Orlando, we've secured the boat the best we can and we're staying here through Hurricane Milton. But it's great to catch up on videos as long as the power remains on!!! And I think a tutorial for your sweater is great, I like seeing it rather than reading a pattern, just my thought. Prayers, love and hugs my very dear friend 🙏♥️🤗
Hi, @barbaralienhard3490!! SO glad you are staying safe. So many hurricanes, right? Tis the season!
Biggest of HUGS! 🌻🌺🌼
You got a gold star.😊
Awe! Thank you so much, @jimdaley1060! 🌺🌷🌺
Hi Christa, I crochet most days so no season for me. I like tutorials because I’m not comfortable reading patterns. The sunflowers are really pretty. Chicken of the month would be Cute! 🧶🫂
Thanks so much, @DianEnglish56! 🌈🌼🌸
Nice Colour Collection
I was wondering if you've ever consider putting your blankets in a book to sell? I do not have a printer. Stay Safe and huge hugs my dear friend. 💋💋💜💜🐶
Love a written pattern, could do that sweater from a tutorial! I have no crochet season, it's whenever my hands will let me!!
Happy belated birthday!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Oh thank you so much, @CynsCraftingWorld! HUGS! 🌺🌻🌸
I crochet year-round, but right now I'm starting to think about big, squishy blankets and sweaters. I just finished an awesome sweater for my husband, and he loves it. I'm so tickled. I think i need to make that scarf...I have some lime green eyelash yarn from Ice yarns that would be awesome on the ends.
Sounds fabulous, @lianamurray9915! Thanks! 🌺🌷🌸
I knit all year so as I learned to crochet. I'm sure it will be in all your thing. Looking forward to the sunflower tutorial. I've been wanting to make sunflowers, but I am colorblind, so I struggle with the colors all the different shades of Brown and Yellow. really appreciate your descriptions.
Oh thank you so much, @meiwong5993! My grandpa was colorblind... I thought he was so cutting edge with his fashion - turned out he thought he was always wearing brown. ;D 🌺🌻🌸
I have no crochet season. I crochet all year. Heavier projects in the fall and winter and lighter projects in the warmer weather.
I have bins of projects ready to be started. All are organized
That's awesome, @barbarabrokos2921! Thank you!! 🌸👍🌺
I like starting my crochet in October-March..the rest of the year is busy for me..❤
Me too, @trishasanner2018! Thank you! 🌷🌸🌷
Your morning sunflower looks the best so far
Yes Yes Please!! Written pattern for the 4 granny square sweater would be fabulous!! I love it!
Thank you, @Jesusloveshischildren! 🌈🌼🌸
Hi Christa…..I would think that the video tutorial for the granny cardigan/sweater would be sufficient without having to write up the pattern after all these years hon.
I LOVE your Sunflower….cant wait for the tutorial! 🙌🌻🌻 Wow….that was a lot of yarn used in your testing Sunflowers. 😮
CAL/MAL of Chicken 🐔 of the month sounds like FUN….love the idea!!
I’ve worked with chenille yarn but never with velvet so I’m not sure of any tips for her question. Sorry!
Also….I crochet all year long so I don’t have a crochet season.
LOVE the project info page included in your patterns now….what a great idea!! 🙌🧶🙌
Have a great day and hope to catch the Live on Friday!! 😊🧶🦋💜
Awe! Thank you so much, @tinastalion6266! 🌺🌷🌺
When I’ve used Bernat velvet, I’ve done HDC between the stitches instead of into the stitch. It’s supposed to help with the loops. Can’t confirm that long term though because I gave all the projects away.
I just crochet or knit whenever I have time 😊! It’s limited 😢!
Hi, @kimberlyhoward7896!! Thank you! 🌻🌺🌼
I love the tutorials!
I crochet on and off all year. Just small pieces here and there but they add up.
Cutrently, I'm making granny squares for a blanket. I only do a couple every other day. Slow progress but I'm getting somewhere.
Sounds fabulous, @Just_Zentoshi! Thanks! 🌺🌷🌸
Would love to see a tutorial for that 4 granny square sweater it would be the first wearable I would make for me
Eyelash yarn has now crossed my path so I am aware, but technically I might have missed technique tips.
That sweater I would try, I never crocheted one before. I would get it( the pattern and watch your tutorial).
Oh thank you so much, @debraweger3915! 🌺🌻🌸
Tutorial is good.
Minik ellerinize sağlık..🧿💜🧿
The coaster is a fun idea unless you want to throw in a similar pattern making it a poinsettia?
Are there other amigurumi plants that would be spectacular?
yes l want to do one the chicken
Oh I am so glad, @lucyhernandez3408! Thank you!! 🌸🌼🌺
Could we turn sunflower into a placemat
I do yarny mood, if I'm in mood crochet, loom knit or knit. I would like to do granny square chicken, not good with Crochet stuffy.
That's awesome, @an-alechianeathery770! Thank you!! 🌸👍🌺
@SecretYarnery even round/ square in middle chicken where you circle then end up with a square. Make 2 of this and sew them together to make a chicken.
I am left handed but I crochet right handed 😵💫 I can't crochet with my left hand lol
That's awesome, @shieldedsugar68! Thank you!! 🌸👍🌺
No crochet season for me I start when I can afford yarn
Hi, @stacyjohnson5388!! Thank you! 🌻🌺🌼
Maybe over lap some peddles
I refuse to let the crochet projects overwhelm me...I decided if its not fun...don't do it...
That's awesome, @JH-th9th! Thank you!! 🌸👍🌺
Tutorial would be just fine
Thank you, @kitraward7352! 🌈🌼🌸
l
l did August till September I just finished a spider blanket now lm don t simple blanket, October
Sounds fabulous, @lucyhernandez3408! Thanks! 🌺🌷🌸
Pattern would be nice but tutorial would be more valuable as knowing you, you will come up with improvements!
l don t like the rust around it
tutorial better
I really prefer to crochet along with videos - I just understand better things that I can see being done 🫤 Sometimes (often) I end up watching segments or even the whole video multiple times before I can crochet anything on my own 🥴
I agree with you. it's easy to learn crochet stitches or whatever yarny craft you do.
I understand, @CharleneHudspeth! Thank you!! 🌸👍🌺
I just messaged you via insta with an idea for a pattern. It includes one of your existing patterns
Oh thank you so much, @IDontSuckAtLifeakaJanis3975! 🌺🌻🌸
I love the idea of chicken of the month - go for it 😊
Oh I am so glad, @doreenbarrontop! Thank you!! 🌸🌼🌺
