Hey Herbie - Thanks for the videos. I got my Lifan KPV150 last spring and I am having a great time with it. There are no scooters like it in this area and I hope to do my own maintenance. Hope you are planning some tune-up vids in the future. Happy riding to your wife!
Hello David, they are a great scooter, I took my wife's KPV out this morning. I've done a valve adjustment video so far and I plan on doing another oil change and gear oil change soon too. I plan on making a few videos on the KPV. Thanks
1st! i don't get to be first often. LOL great video, if I ever get one of these for my wife i will have to come back and watch this one again! i think she wants a Rebel or a Savage though really.
Herbie were do you buy parts for the LIFAN KPV150 I cannot find any source of parts listed on the internet for this bike and reqardless of how great it might be if there are no parts available for repair etc then how could it be a bargain.
I believe Venom can get any part you need for the bikes they sell. Just contact them and ask them directly about it. Also you can go directly to Chinese sellers like engtb.com and superbuy.com to order from China. It takes a while for delivery and can be expensive for delivery depending on the part. Prices are really cheap but shipping not so much. If I can be of any help just let me know. I’m new to the kpv and still learning it but I learn pretty quickly usually 😁
Good afternoon, I haven’t had the suspension apart yet so I really don’t know for sure but I would think it would be the same as any other inverted fork suspension. At some point I will probably pull them out and change the oil in them but that won’t be for a while. Thank you, have a great day my friend
I have a Lifan KPM 200. They make a quality product. Anyone have the actual "Service Manual" for this scooter?? You got the right idea getting the white color, that and a white helmet makes you more visible in traffic.
That's a awesome lil scooter,I remember looking into one of those when I was looking at the newer ko mini,do they have other color options,I know it'll get up to good speed from what I've seen,is this in the scooter family that is belt driven like most of is it chain driven, just curious, but now I'm almost close to my goal on my KTM Duke 390,but they keep going up on the price done payment,so either I'm asking the bank for help or save up an pay out straight cash,I can't wait to see your wife sit on this an start it up,are you going to do the breaking in process or are you going out with her on her first ride an break in,they look like the headlight are good quality too like the newer ko mini LED.
I’m still new to the scooter so I’m not sure yet if it has chain or belt but my guess is belt. It would almost have to be I would think. That’s ashame on the KTM, I hope it works out for you. I plan on going out with my wife to a parking lot or church to let her practice.
It's a belt, slightly unique size compared to normal 150cc's. The headlight is great, high beam gives me about 300ft sight. I'm close to 3000 miles on mine so far. Averaging 220-250 miles between gas stops, usually with .6 gallons remaining... I think if you keep your speed under 50 you can get 300 miles on a full tank.
@@2upFTW wow, no kidding, that’s awesome gas mileage! Yeah it’s a belt drive cvt, at least the owners manual describes it as a cvt. Have you had to change, adjust or clean the belt drive yet at 3000 miles? Thanks for the information 👍🏻
@@herbiesgarage681 I changed the roller weights from the stock 16 to 18g to try and bring the RPMs down a little since I mainly ride 55 roads. It's getting a bit of belt dust in there but not too terrible. I think it 5000 miles I might properly blow and brush it all out so it looks new again. However despite the belt dust it hasn't really slowed in top speed much. What's the highest it's indicated is 69mph@9250RPM, which was 63 on my GPS. Then it hits the limiter. I've added rim reflectors, aftermarket turn signals, 65L top case and I had aftermarket exhaust but decided I liked it quiet. Selling the pipe if you're interested. Oh and I have the sport rear fender for sale as well 😂
Thank you for sharing this video how to put together the Lifan KPV 150cc and looks awesome!!
You’re welcome, and thank you, I think so too!
Thank you for all these videos. A lot of people would be lost "including myself" without them.
You’re welcome Henry, I’m it is helpful 👍🏻

After 1000/1200 kilometers rear brake shoe does not work properly. It is very bad issue :-( . Front brake pads have no issue.

Nice looking Scooter! 👍 Wow! Plywood crate? First class shipping there. lol
Yeah, the plywood is pretty sturdy, it arrived in pristine condition 😊

Congratulations 😁 It really is a nice scooter, seems well built.
I just put mine together a couple of weeks ago. I thought the rubber washers went on the windscreen.
If you used the rubber grommets on the windscreen then what did you use for the big holes in the plastic cover for the muffler? Just wondering
@@herbiesgarage681 The four screws with the giant heads and a washer on each one.
@@herbiesgarage681 I don't know that the way I did it was correct but would be nice if we could make sure.
@@rcgamer I’ll see what I can find out on it
