I had an Italian greyhound the same color as Fairy. WHen she died, my heart broke like never before in my life. I miss her so much. Dogs just don't live long enough. She was 13.
As a greyhound mum of over 35 years, it was a joy to watch you throughout. It took me back to being highly embarrassed by my soul hound who saw me pop over the first jump and stayed put, looking at me like I'd lost the plot 😂. I have a blue boy now who is usually well behaved (ex-racer brought up in an outstandingly good kennel), but I couldn't imagine him doing anything other than the jumps, and only if a sausage was on the other side 🤣🤣🤣 Such a pleasure to hear from someone who genuinely _knows_ hounds! I hope you have a long, happy, and undoubtedly silly life together ❤
I simply cracked up laughing at the look Fairy gave you after your very first try, when she didn't know you well! I could just hear her saying, "Oh, great, I end up in a forever home with humans that are too stupid to see that you can go AROUND the little fences." I believe that was what she was trying to demonstrate to you when you let her off leash" "Look, see this, you can go around these things & do it all much, MUCH faster!" Dogs must sometimes think we are mad as hatters! But it does remind me of a UA-camr who took her horse for its first dressage competition. It was raining & they'd never trained in the rain, and the horse spooked. It galloped round & round the ring, bucking and farting prodigiously, while she was laughing so hysterically that all she could do was hang on. Well, at least Fairy ran around with grace & beauty! And no farting?
"If Mom thinks I'm doing great hopping over these little fences and going over the A-frame, wait until she sees how fast I can run around them!!" Fairy was certainly enjoying what she can do best, run fast and far.
This has brightened my heart, I have tears running down my face through laughing 😂 Fairy is such a beautiful girl 🤩 I have grown up with greyhounds and still have two and all my family have greyhounds too. I totally agree with you doing something different with fairy. Greyhounds are very intelligent and they can be trained. I was just waiting for the zoomies when you let her off the lead and I wasn't dissapointed 😂😂 Greyhounds are born to run and thats what they do best. You are certainly such a good Mummy to Fairy ❤❤❤
What a simply gorgeous dog, showing us all how wonderful greyhounds are. I recently watched a video on here where an new (I think ) owner of a greyhound took it to a beach and then let it off lead. A huge beach, and the dog zoomed around lap after lap after lap........the area it was running around, on the sand, was the size of a greyhound racetrack!! This dog and owner are a very lucky twosome.
Yep, Gazehounds were meant to run - and run fast! She said "Nuts to all those obstacles, this is what you do with wide open space!" Mom raised Afghanhounds and it's the same thing. It's the "I'll do it because I want to and not because you tell me to" attitude that sometimes creates the funniest situations. Beautiful runners, all.
I think she enjoys straight out running more than agility. Have you checked to see if there is any lure coursing in your area? A lure is pulled by a motor, on a line at high speed with pivots to turn and change direction at points along the course. The dogs are trembling and barking with such excitement waiting for their turns. (One dog at a time) There were all breeds doing it, not just sight hounds. I paid for 3 runs for my springer spaniel who loves to chase squirrels, but she wouldn’t complete the course, when she got too far from me she would turn and come running back every time. Separation anxiety! But I think Fairy would love it.
Reminds me of a Border Terrier in the US who was trained for Companion Dog obedience trials at dog shows. The award is for completing three trials at three different shows. The Border did two trials to score and at the third show, he looked at his owners and walked back to the car as if he felt that two times should have been enough.
It was a delight seeing you laughing and smiling when Fairy was off-lead and doing precisely what she wanted; I'm so glad you weren't angry or disappointed. It's love like that which grows forever bonds.
Hi Fairy, Ziggy the Greyhound here from Beachmere Qld Australia. Great work!! Dad has tried, but I haven't got a clue about being trained. I have selective deafness (instructions only) and don't take treats, so I have the training acumen of a cross between a 3-year old toddler, a cat and a sheep.
Sounds like our Galgo. Refuses to eat treats while outside the house, so training is all but impossible. Just have to just let her run around the huge fenced dog park. Took a year for her to start coming back, had me there for 4 hours once, I can laugh now 😅
Dog Agility is a wonderful sport - excellent training for both the dog and the handler. When we were participating and competing, we found the community to be very friendly and helpful - a good crew of people of people. Agility is fantastic to watch, as well as participate - When if goes well, it's a beautiful ballet of the Dog and Handler working together - When it doesn't it's some of the best Slapstick Comedy you'll ever see. (All taken in good humor). At one event, I was acting as a Ring Steward (The guy that resets the course) when a Whippet entered the ring. As soon as the starting whistle blew, she leaped the fence, ran a lap around the course, then leaped back into the ring to run the course flawlessly - and still finish in the allotted time.
Greyhounds love, love, love to run, and of course she'd run like the wind at the first given chance. Fairy is beautiful and she's lucky to have you. All the best to Fairy and you, her family❣️ PS. Lure coursing is something sighthounds truly love, and I can recommend it.
I love when a Greyhound takes off and runs, more like flies like the wind. One can see how much the doggo is enjoying themselves.it looks like their legs aren’t touching the ground as they zoom by. Greyhounds get the zoomies at the oddest times. I am impressed with Fairy’s ability ability. If the tunnel was taller for her I think it would be better for her. She appears to be having a good time and it is nice for her to be around other doggos. Cheers!
She did quite well! I burst out LOL when she raced past your open arms as you crouched down. Had the same experience with my guy before... Thx for your Fairy vids, and all good wishes for her, you and her entire hooman family. Cheers!
Fairy is like….😐🙄 ok these humans have so much fun while doing these stupid Agility course 🤷🏻♀️ I will do them the favor to do these things….and off the lead….😀 yay….now let’s have fun and run!
It's ok. I had a border Collie in Flyball as a pup. She fully understood the game but would immediately drop the ball and run into competitor lanes to say "Hi hi, aren't we having fun!" My team politely asked us to withdraw since they kept getting penalized. She just wasn't ball/toy driven. All she wanted was to love on everybody and everything! I miss my Sayde girl so much! A beautiful dog inside and out.
She is stunning, especially when she runs! I think it's a brilliant idea to do agility training to bond and prevent boredom, which is an issue with the greyhounds I know. Variety is good for the brain and the body.
What a great dog owner you are. What a happy greyhound. A lovely set of clips showing her training and capabilities which gives the viewer great insight. The patience and calm and loving attitude you have to this dog is admirable. She sure loves the freedom to express her character 😄
She's beautiful, I wish I had the time to have a dog and commit to the time it takes to provide the right attention. I grew up with dogs and cats and horses but I don't have that life anymore unfortunately.
Beautiful! How lovely that you are so invested in keeping her happy and engaged. And it's great that she also has plenty of time to run and play freely. Great Mom!!
She is beautiful in motion. I had a rescue dog and agility gave her a lot of confidence, we never competed but she loved the jumps especially. Thanks. 🥰🐕💕❤️👍👍
And a second video, this is a treat thank you. Fairy was having great fun running in circles. Catch has told me she would like to try agility. We have a secure dog field locally. They are really good especially for high prey drive dogs.
Awww such a cute video!!! I loved her freedom and sense of wanting to express herself her way! She's so cute! I love that you are doing this for fun and stimulation for her! You did awesome! I can see the joy on your face too when she was running around. LOVE IT! 🥰 How fun!
I love the patience and love you have for this sweet girl. I really enjoyed watching this video! Good on you for trying to give this baby her best life!
I love your quiet matter of fact voice and attitude and I love the idea of Zoomies. I used to call it red mist, because my dear dog did it when he didn’t know what to do with his stress, but this is pure exuberance. Wonderful.
Great work, I know full well she'll do so will you guys have a good bond already and she's very well trained already, so we'll be a natural! Great activity already, I do a mini-agility with my corgi out on walks using obstacles!! Hilarious she RAN, that's just excitement also in so far as it awas an exciting day and she's a good Gril.
This was so much fun to watch! It brought many memories of our greyhounds that we adopted as retired racers. I don't think they ever stop running in big circles. When you said stay tuned to see what Fairy does off leash?....I broke up! All greyhound parents know the answer to that one!!! What a fantastic idea to teach her dog agility! I wish we'd had a place where we could have taken our greyhounds to for agility fun. Both our greys lived to be 15 years old, and our lives were greatly enhanced just having them with us! Fairy learned her lessons well, judging from the video about her leaping over the walls at the beach so fast and easily. Greyhounds are born to run; she looks the most joyful the faster she can run.
What a joy to watch Fairy having fun with you. ❤ So wonderful to see her learning not just about agility obstacles but about companionship. Your daughter did a fine job filming -- it's nearly impossible to catch all the movements of a grey with the zoomies! ❤ Great video, thank you!
She was telling the other dogs that she actually is only at school for the chicken. She gave everyone a proper show. The people there must have been falling over with laughter. I know I would have 😂 … she’s a complete show off ❤ but you wouldn’t know it judging by here haughty looks 😂
I had an Italian greyhound the same color as Fairy. WHen she died, my heart broke like never before in my life. I miss her so much. Dogs just don't live long enough. She was 13.
Fairy 🧚♀️ getting her groove on!!!🎉
"I'm a runner, not a gymnast!" She's utterly gorgeous.
As a greyhound mum of over 35 years, it was a joy to watch you throughout. It took me back to being highly embarrassed by my soul hound who saw me pop over the first jump and stayed put, looking at me like I'd lost the plot 😂.
I have a blue boy now who is usually well behaved (ex-racer brought up in an outstandingly good kennel), but I couldn't imagine him doing anything other than the jumps, and only if a sausage was on the other side 🤣🤣🤣
Such a pleasure to hear from someone who genuinely _knows_ hounds! I hope you have a long, happy, and undoubtedly silly life together ❤
A gray hound doing what she was bred to do…and doing it as gracefully as a fairie. Beautiful!
I'm still laughing watching her zoomies. What a good girl. She did what you wanted, then what she wanted. Super cute
I simply cracked up laughing at the look Fairy gave you after your very first try, when she didn't know you well! How would you know about the smell? By the time it hit you she’d be long gone, and blaming it on someone else. 😂
Great comment! You made me laugh! I agree, dogs must wonder at our intelligence sometimes!
"If Mom thinks I'm doing great hopping over these little fences and going over the A-frame, wait until she sees how fast I can run around them!!"
Fairy was certainly enjoying what she can do best, run fast and far.
She is so fast and graceful when free, nul points for agility, max points for speed and enjoying herself ❤
It’s in a greyhound’s nature to run. They look so beautiful running❣️
She did what she loves! What she was bred to do... RUN Fairy! RUN! 😂😂😂
My word, that is a beautiful dog!
That was a hoot, thanks.
The enormous grin on your face as she happily zooms around the ring says it all! 💞
What a beautiful, and graceful athlete !
she is so full of energy - young and vibrant!
that's a pleasure to watch
What a simply gorgeous dog, showing us all how wonderful greyhounds are. I recently watched a video on here where an new (I think ) owner of a greyhound took it to a beach and then let it off lead. What a wonderful dog! And you are a great dog owner.
Look at that girl go shes beautiful you are bless to have her
I haven't seen such a ridiculously happy greyhound, she's absolutely loving life ❤❤
So much joy! I'm convinced that free running is the ultimate fun for a greyhound!! 🐾💨💖
Perhaps some open farm land or a beach surely she’s shown she runs like the wind . Trying to capture her after a run hummm not so much
I think she enjoys straight out running more than agility. Have you checked to see if there is any lure coursing in your area? Hilarious, we have 2 rescue greyhounds and as soon as they see flat piece of grass n hook of the lead they are offfffffff😂 you got to love fairy 🎖️
Fairy knows what she was born to do, and it wasn't jumping over little fences. But it looks like you both had a lot of fun!
THAT is one deliriously happy dog!
Reminds me of a Border Terrier in the US who was trained for Companion Dog obedience trials at dog shows. The award is for completing three trials at three different shows. Nice to see someone loving and caring so much for a greyhound. You obviously love her very much and she looks wonderful doing her zoomies.❤❤❤
Aww, bless her. She is gorgeous. ❤❤❤
It was a delight seeing you laughing and smiling when Fairy was off-lead and doing precisely what she wanted; I'm so glad you weren't angry or disappointed. It's love like that which grows forever bonds.
Fairy can do what she likes as long as she’s happy. We don’t take it seriously 🤣
Fast, Beautiful, and Magical!
We love ❤️ you!🎉
If the aim was to run around avoiding the obstacles Fairy would win hands down lol
She had THE BEST tjme. Thank you for letting her enjoy life so much!! Nana Karen UK
I had the same thing with my Italian greyhounds at agility class. We’ve since switched to lure coursing and fast CAT.

😂
Ziggy sounds like my puppy mill Border Collie. Untrainable according to professionals. But loves on you after she knocks you down and rolls on you.
Or a very smart Greyhound. We tried to teach ours to fetch. They would stand there, looking at us, saying "you threw it, you go get it".
She was just showing you her best trick mum!
Those weaving poles are a bit hard when your long noodley head is 4 poles ahead of your noodley tail 😍
She did well, but she says "I'm a runner what else do you want" lol.
Dog Agility is a wonderful sport - excellent training for both the dog and the handler. When we were participating and competing, we found the community to be very friendly and helpful - a good crew of people of people.

But mooooooommm!!! Zoomies gotta zoom! 😂
She's a precious girl, that's for sure!
I love the end when she says the heck with that I want to run free.
Greyhounds love, love, love to run, and of course she'd run like the wind at the first given chance.
Fairy is beautiful and she's lucky to have you.
All the best to Fairy and you, her family❣️
PS. Lure coursing is something sighthounds truly love, and I can recommend it.
Awwww, when she was allowed off lead she wanted to show you how fast she is. What a sweetheart.💕💕💕
Running is what Greyhounds are bred for. Let that be the reward just before the end of each training session. She is poetry in motion!
She looks really cool running in slow motion! Fairy is having the time of her life 💜
Children, running around and enjoying life, love it 😀👍👍
I am amazed at the things that entertains us. There went 7:12 minutes of my life, but you collected the ad. revenues. Congrats!
With apologies in advance to Mr. Springsteen.........Fairy you were born to RUN!
I love when a Greyhound takes off and runs, more like flies like the wind. One can see how much the doggo is enjoying themselves.it looks like their legs aren’t touching the ground as they zoom by. It is important to have goals in Agility. Having fun is a great one. So is bonding to you, and you’re both doing great!
She did quite well! I burst out LOL when she raced past your open arms as you crouched down.
Had the same experience with my guy before...
Thx for your Fairy vids, and all good wishes for her, you and her entire hooman family. Cheers!
Freestyle with Fairy!!! Zooooommm!!!!
Gorgeous, blue girl...❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful girl. Beautiful family. Thank you for sharing this story.
I guess your laughing was more rewarding to her than the chicken. She wants to entertain you! Beautiful Fairy🫶🐾🫠

What a great dog owner you are. What a happy greyhound. A lovely set of clips showing her training and capabilities which gives the viewer great insight. The patience and calm and loving attitude you have to this dog is admirable. She sure loves the freedom to express her character 😄
Smart girl and so thankful she has her freedom!💥❤️🐾🐾
Greyt scott, I'm free!! Watch my agility as I run in circles past the obstacles. What a love!
I love her joy in running
Beautiful Fairy! You are a joy to watch.😀
She's beautiful, I wish I had the time to have a dog and commit to the time it takes to provide the right attention. I grew up with dogs and cats and horses but I don't have that life anymore unfortunately.
She was doing laps of honour, bless her. 😂
She gave me a great laugh off the leash racing around. She was showing Mama her kind of agility, flat out and flying!🤓🐾
Smile on my face from ear to ear!! I'm sure Princess Fairy put all the other doggies to shame with her elegant running ability!!!
She is the most beautiful dog I have ever seen
Thanks I think she is too 🥰
Beautiful! How lovely that you are so invested in keeping her happy and engaged. And it's great that she also has plenty of time to run and play freely. Great Mom!!
She has her own ideas about agility 😊
Bravo,Fairy! Life is about fun especially with a loving carer such as yours.
I love watching Fairy, doing her best to be the free spirit she has become. Thank you
Her running was so fluid and graceful, she's a beauty.
This was so much fun to watch. Can you imagine her wanting to compete seriously? She would be SO FAST. I love how much fun she was having.
She is beautiful in motion. I had a rescue dog and agility gave her a lot of confidence, we never competed but she loved the jumps especially. Thanks. 🥰🐕💕❤️👍👍
Run Fairy run.😂
And a second video, this is a treat thank you. Fairy was having great fun running in circles. Catch has told me she would like to try agility. We have a secure dog field locally. They are really good especially for high prey drive dogs.

She looks so happy. 💕. It is a joy to watch her run freely…sweet girl.
Princess Fairy is speedy poetry in motion! Everyone's having fun at the agility course!
She is a fabulous greyhound! ❤
This was lovely! Fairy looks really happy and well adjusted. Thank you for taking such good care of her.
Beautiful video. Fairy is going to love you for ever.
I love the patience and love you have for this sweet girl. I really enjoyed watching this video! Good on you for trying to give this baby her best life!
She does have a beautiful stride!
Lovely to see her tail get higher as she gains more confidence. Go Fairy you little flyer.
Love it! I can totally see my grey, Honeydew, doing the exact same thing. Fairy is very brave to go up on the high obstacles. Thanks for posting!
Fairy: agility training is okay, but running free is the best! 🙂
I love your quiet matter of fact voice and attitude and I love the idea of Zoomies. I used to call it red mist, because my dear dog did it when he didn’t know what to do with his stress, but this is pure exuberance. Wonderful.
Soooo lovely. I always feel better after watching your videos. Thank you
I really appreciate your videos. Fairy is an amazing dog and you are doing a great job with her. I especially like her beach videos.
When you said
stay tuned to see what Fairy does off leash?....I broke up! All greyhound parents know the
answer to that one!!! What a fantastic idea to teach her dog agility! I wish we'd had a place where we could have taken our greyhounds to for agility fun. Both our greys lived to be 15 years old, and our lives were greatly enhanced just having them with us! Yes, they are trainable. Our very large Pit Bull taught our greyhound to walk with us off leash. If she went too far, he corrected her.
I saw your video where you took Fairy to the beach, and that was an emotional one for me. We had moved to the beach, and were shocked to learn there was a $250 fine if your dog was caught there. We weren't even allowed to take them there on a leash! One day Lulu got out and had the time of her life running in big circles, crashing into waves, and loved running through the sand! That time we didn't get caught! That was then. Now they have an area just for dogs on the beach. Thank you for your videos. What great times you've had with Fairy, with many more yet to come. Enjoy her!
I’m pleased you enjoyed our videos and it reminded you of your greyhounds. All beaches should allow dogs they don’t litter like humans do!
Fairy learned her lessons well, judging from the video about her leaping over the walls at the beach so fast and easily. Greyhounds are born to run; she looks the most joyful the faster she can run.
What a lovely girl . . . Both of you! 😁. They really are the best dog for anyone.
Oh she is such a star, I cannot stop laughing, I wonder what her doggie friends think of her zooming around? LOL
Lovely video, I really enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing 🙏💕🐾
Fairy you are so funny, with your own mind, love it 🎉❤
What a joy to watch Fairy having fun with you. ❤ So wonderful to see her learning not just about agility obstacles but about companionship. Your daughter did a fine job filming -- it's nearly impossible to catch all the movements of a grey with the zoomies! ❤ Great video, thank you!
Thanks, pleased you enjoyed it 🥰
Terrific! Thank you
It looks like Fairy isn't the only one enjoying agility training. She is indeed a beautiful dog.
She was telling the other dogs that she actually is only at school for the chicken. She gave everyone a proper show. The people there must have been falling over with laughter. I know I would have 😂 … she’s a complete show off ❤ but you wouldn’t know it judging by here haughty looks 😂
