I loved how they portrayed the lone predator in this film as proper elite hunter, both skill and tactical wise, casually dispatching several xenomorph as contrary to most Yautja whom are inexperienced.
Average blooded yautja can easily dispatch several xenomorphs but one moment of carelessness means even they will die. That's why they respect the xenomorphs even though they sometimes appear to either regard them highly or loathe them

It wasn't much loved by the people of the franchise and I can see why but it certainly holds a special place within my core memories which is the reason why I got hooked in the Xenomorphs and Hunters Conquest in their ever expanding universe in their franchise. Thanks as always for making these videos that cover most of what I use to watch way back then.
I love how the elite predator gets an image of a new never before seen species along with it's forming brood, and rather than calling for help, or alerting others as to what's going on, he's just like: "Nah I got this"
I don’t know he’s reaction the predalien is more of he had encountered these things before. And it’s better for to do this alone then to call more and bring more unnecessary attention to him
Agreed, especially if you think about it. The Predalien not only impregnated an already late-term pregnant woman, but the chestbursters had to have eaten or otherwise destroyed the fetus while the woman had to have felt the thrashing fully aware of what was happening. Easily one of the most viscerally frightening scenes in a franchise sci-if/horror movie.
There's another aspect to the horror in that scene that has ever been with me since I first saw this film. The Predalien enters a nursery full of newborn babies, there's a closeup on the Predalien's head, and then it cuts to the next scene, leaving us with the implication that the Predalien slaughters all the newborns. There is nothing more horrifying and unsettling than the notion that someone or some predator would willingly kill a newborn baby or, worse, do so with enjoyment or satisfaction. It turns my stomach to even think about this as I type it.
Though the Wolf Predator was an awesome character, I just wish he had more screentime And his bio helmet is very reminiscent of PREDATOR 2 City Hunter Bio Helmet.
The Predalien in this movie wasn’t just a normal predalien like what we normally see in the AVP games. This one was also a queen, which was why it had more alien instincts.
It's only since Prometheus and covenant that the major cross species and creation side of the xenomorph went Haywire. I don't actually like those movies as part of the mainstream story . Finding the engineers as an advanced race that fell victim to the xeno had it's darker side making them more foreboding and keeping them separate was the way to go with cross species and drugs coming from the company . requiem would have been interesting if the first face Hugger's off the ship started its own colony with the human host being acceptable as it's weaker counterpart and not weakening it's line with the pred alien being an abomination of one of its sworn enemies remembered through it's instinct adding an extra dynamic to the power rift . It would also be great in a future movie if we got to see the full dynamic of the nest from creation of queen egg soldier's and generals using hisses squeals and rattles to communicate in a creation of queen egg soldier and general creation along with the nest interior creation through secretion vrowth and ingestion of victims with a dedicated long scene like a slow flying drone fly through stopping in sections seeing aliens carrying eggs the queen promoting and generals issuing orsers before they venture out ready to take on a colony on a planet they've stealthily chipped away at and established until ready to overrun it.

The Wolf was probably one of the best predators I have seen. He was experienced and knew how to kill the xenomorphs efficiently by creating traps and utilizing it's equipment with great intelligence. And this is probably the only one with the highest kill count out of any predator we've seen in cinema. Feel free to correct me in the comments (be respectful but informative).
I kinda like this movie as a kid. I can see why critics don't love it, but the fact they focused on the Alien Vs Predator Thing 100% without giving too much attention to the humans was amazing.
I liked it, Wolf is my most favorite predator because of his experience and skill he’s basically the Batman of predators, he’s a detective and he’s got that grizzled grumpy old man vibe he’s grumbling about teenagers, the xenomorph invasion and that he’s too old for this shit but he’s very good at it and the predalien is just terrifying and the most messed up about it is that it targets pregnant women to lay eggs in each host killing the toddler in the process and creating belly bursters and creating a new hive. Wolf fought this thing hand to hand even though he died in the process but defeated it also. Also even though I see why the movie wasn’t good but I’m not a judging person I liked it
This movie was better than the first avp movie this one really felt like the avp comics it was always a strong predator against a horde of aliens I loved this movie wolf was the closest thing we got to a jungle and city hunter vibe replicated this predator felt like the 2 original OGs predator
I don't have the hate for this movie that many people do. I do like the idea of a Predator being sort of like a sergeant major. I also like how this movie showed that the humans were actually the most deadliest considering the nuke the whole town. And they're more than likely blame it on Al-Qaeda. And it showed the very beginning of that non-descript Asian company hint hint. That would be the bane of Sigourney Weaver aka Ripley.
Kind of weird how the elite Predator is tasked with erasing all traces of alien activity in the town, but it goes ahead and skins a deputy that it killed like that wouldn't raise the alarm when the body is inevitably found.
It's not the evidence of the Xenomorphs he's erasing. It's their DNA. Ensuring that they won't contaminate the Yautja's favorite hunting grounds. Also, the skinned bodies are often thought to be a decoy, like "These people were killed by a Yautja. No Xenomorphs here." The Yautja are fine with humans knowing they exist, even with knowing the Xenomorphs exist. They just don't want Xenomorph infestations ruining Earth, which is home to their other favorite prey species.

Hey @FilmComicsExplained, don't know if you noticed it but on the screen Colonel Steven's is observing you can see in the corner that the name of the organisation containing the outbreak is infact the OWLF - yes the group from Predator 2 who tracked the City Hunter
Imagine a Plot Twist were Xenomorphs are actually humans who were forcefully turned into Xenomorphs to be target practice by the Predators and were trying to escape from the south pole, but the Predators found out right while the humans were exploring! The Xenomorphs trying to defend themselves and warn the Humans are quickly attacked by the Predators who are manipulating the humans (Female Lead Character) to kill them before the real truth comes out. APR Sequel is a pissed off Pred-Alien that just wants revenge of humans and Predators for what happen!
I laughed so hard at this taking place in Colorado. Im a native here in the ol CO, and I promise, we have no forests, anywhere, that look like that. It was the most hamfisted 'shot in california' I've ever seen. Also I laughed so hard at blondie getting rekt by the predator throwing fan.
[Predator/Gears Of War] What If Predators Were In Gears Of War Video Game Series And [Aliens/Dead Space] What If Xenomorphs Were In Dead Space Video Game Series
Say what you want about this movie, it held no punches. Showed child death scenes, killed a pregnant woman in a horrific way, killed off the good guys and did a full on Racoon City ending. Pretty much let the bad guys win at the end by getting the Predator technology. I think its ability to hold no punches was also a severe disadvantage too.
Whilst I found Aliens Vs Predator generally enjoyable if a little comic booky, I felt Requiem got a little too bogged down with all the human angles and especially the teenage love story. Furthermore, now and again, I can't help but get the impression that this was an attempt to somehow recycle Critters. Speaking of which, you need to do Critters next :D
I always thought that "wolf" the cleaner Predator came to earth to cover all the evidence of the Yautja and xenomorph existence not for the thrill of the hunt.
Like this series and would be down for a AvP3 with the Queen from the first AvP, but a few years later. Of course it would end with all evidences of the Xeno being destroyed to keep the public from knowing, and continuing Weyland-Yutani's early years of learning about them.
I was just barely old enough for my mom to start allowing me to watch these types of movies. She took the "That's the devil!" To a whole new level when it came to stuff. I never understood why people didn't like it, it has a good plot, decent characters, all that but the lighting isn't enough of a reason to me to bash a movie. It's not like it was Pitch Black with Riddick.
My biggest problem with the first AvP is when scar is making the spear and shield, how the hell can she put her hand in the shield and not have it immediately destroyed by the acid blood?
Well, plan in the movies is flawed, because it assumes that nuclear blast will kill everyone. Here how this is flawed: 1) It assumes that all aliens will be concentrated at the city center; 2) It ignores that nuclear blast has a relatively low kill radius; 3) It assumes that all aliens will try to concentrate rather than to disperse; 4) It assumes that all aliens will be in the city center rather than outskirts; 5) It assumes that all aliens will be over-ground and none will be hiding in sewers or ditches; As you can see, this plan is incredibly flawed. In reality, it would only work as a first strike and then you would send military into an affected area to slowly and methodically check every crook and cranny. However, this would completely blow the cover of an entire operation. Though, to even think that you can fake nuclear reactor malfunction with a nuclear strike is incredibly silly in itself.
What's hilarious is if you just listen to the audio of this FCE video until 1:40, without watching it, it sounds like someone is preparing something in a commercial kitchen while listening to ominous demon music 😂😂😂
One of my favourite movies from the franchise besides alien 2, i like the big fights and aliens vs humans especially bug like xenomorphs. I personally thought the storyline was well done and easy to follow and all characters were good enough for me.
I remember trying to watch this in the theaters. It's so dark, might as well get the audio book
Also, can you do a video for the movie, the number 23 staring Jim Carrey
I think when the studio said "we need to make the sequel darker" they took it literal
No lies detected, damn thats one thing I still absolutely dislike about this movie!

I love it too it fits the gore and horror that goes down in it
God I wish they didn't make most of this movie too dark to see anything
Yeah it was lit by the same team that worked on the last season of GOT lol
I watched it just to see two species try to annihate each other...until the movie showed that the humans are more deadly than the Predators, Xenomorphs and Predalien
Hey @FilmComicsExplained, don't know if you noticed it but on the screen Colonel Steven's is observing you can see in the corner that the name of the organisation containing the outbreak is infact the OWLF - yes the group from Predator 2 who tracked the City Hunter
This use to show up every Saturday on the sci-fi channel I probably watched it 50x
I’m shocked you’re not at a million yet, you’re awesome
Imagine a Plot Twist were Xenomorphs are actually humans who were forcefully turned into Xenomorphs to be target practice by the Predators and were trying to escape from the south pole, but the Predators found out right while the humans were exploring! The Xenomorphs trying to defend themselves and warn the Humans are quickly attacked by the Predators who are manipulating the humans (Female Lead Character) to kill them before the real truth comes out. APR Sequel is a pissed off Pred-Alien that just wants revenge of humans and Predators for what happen!
The way you describe the movie is much better than the real thing!
Makes me want to watch it again even though it sucks.
Wolf became one of my favorite predators because of this flim
I laughed so hard at this taking place in Colorado. Im a native here in the ol CO, and I promise, we have no forests, anywhere, that look like that. It was the most hamfisted 'shot in california' I've ever seen.
Also I laughed so hard at blondie getting rekt by the predator throwing fan.
Fellow CO native here. And i agree. It didn't even look like the area around Gunnison.
Wrecked, not rekt. Jeez, have people forgotten how to spell?
@@Robert_Douglass The well achsyually boomer energy is strong with this one.
@@jamessmall6499 May it serve you well.
Most people dislike this film I find it enjoyable
This I consider a Christmas film since I did release around that time and I loved it
This movie is literally dark. Like so dark you can't see shit.
I love this flick! I wish they'd release a version with the lighting fixed.
Given the time Scar learn English, he would warn Lex about the Predalien.
RIP Scar 😢
Fitting, Im playing Alien Isolation right now and the xenomorphs do not seem that scary, yet in the game the Alien is super scary
@21:20 My exact reaction, after hearing that line. 🤣
[Predator/Gears Of War] What If Predators Were In Gears Of War Video Game Series And [Aliens/Dead Space] What If Xenomorphs Were In Dead Space Video Game Series
The alien impregnating the pregnant woman in the hospital scarred me for life. Just...too much.
I chuckled more than i should had at 18:10 when he calls the fight the group witnesses as the title of the movie lmao
hehehe
The thought of A yellow taxi pulling up in Gunnison is fucking hilarious
You sir are a legend, greetings all the way from Texas
Hey Elizardo! Welcome my friend :)
I'm one of the few people who liked this, it's so much better than the Paul Anderson movie
Facts
“Before wrestling the other two like a gigga-chad in each hand.” Sums up how cool wolf character is as a whole.
You should look into Screamers (1995), I feel like you'd really enjoy covering it
I always thought that "wolf" the cleaner Predator came to earth to cover all the evidence of the Yautja and xenomorph existence not for the thrill of the hunt.
He came for both! That’s why he’s the Top P
Omg that ending!!
The movie wasn't great but it was stupid fun. And Wolf (the Predators assigned name for the film) is by far my favorite Predator.
Always excited to see your Alien and Predator.👍
and Honestly i think this movie and avp 2004 are both underrated greatly
04:07 This made my echo dot start talking 😂😂😂
I never forget that woman who said the government would never lie to us and all the other characters looked at her like she is so stupid😂😂😂
Now this is what you call a Dark movie. Literally 🤣
My biggest problem with the first AvP is when scar is making the spear and shield, how the hell can she put her hand in the shield and not have it immediately destroyed by the acid blood?
"The 304 has skills" LOL!
Well, plan in the movies is flawed, because it assumes that nuclear blast will kill everyone. Here how this is flawed:
1) It assumes that all aliens will be concentrated at the city center;
2) It ignores that nuclear blast has a relatively low kill radius;
3) It assumes that all aliens will try to concentrate rather than to disperse;
4) It assumes that all aliens will be in the city center rather than outskirts;
5) It assumes that all aliens will be over-ground and none will be hiding in sewers or ditches;
As you can see, this plan is incredibly flawed.
'thats crazy the goverment dosent lie to people'
I CANNOT COUNT THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE I KNOW WHO LAUGHED AT THAT LINE
I love the setting of the movie
I know people are saying it’s too dark but I like the dark rainy setting
Truly horrific scenario
What's hilarious is if you just listen to the audio of this FCE video until 1:40, without watching it, it sounds like someone is preparing something in a commercial kitchen while listening to ominous demon music 😂😂😂
I LOVED THIS ONE - no happy endings.
Detective Predator on the job...
You know he'll get the job done
One of my favourite movies from the franchise besides alien 2, i like the big fights and aliens vs humans especially bug like xenomorphs. I personally thought the storyline was well done and easy to follow and all characters were good enough for me.
I love your voice and I love your videos :) 😊
Wolf is the best thing about this movie.
