Hard to believe we are at a point that the "lower trim" includes lcd touchscreens, full power locks/windows, cruise, A/C, backup sensors, keyless entry with alarm, almost 400 horsepower twin turbo motors, lane keep assists, sof 4x4 systems with electronic rear lockers, and flow thru center consoles. Man we've gotten spoiled.

Great truck, just picked one up. It’s super convenient for highway driving and my dog can also shake off the sand after the beach and its no problem. 2.7L v6 ecoboost is awesome too.
Thank you for doing a walk around of this trim in a 22 model year. I ordered a Space White Supercab STX 4x4 with the 5.0 liter back in December and it’s been difficult to find information about this trim. Everyone is going crazy for the Powerboost and XLT/Lariat/Platinum models and leave off the “poor” man trims haha. According to my dealer it got shipped out of KC today and I should be receiving it in a week or so. Your video just amped me up even more, I can’t wait!
I just bought a 22 F150 XL STX 4x4 5.0 in Space White with 4 door Crew Cab fresh of the truck with 5 miles on the odometer. It is amazing. It feels more like a sports car than a truck. That 5.0 is a beast in Sport mode. I love it. And it sounds amazing for a stock truck. I got lucky to get first in line to see it before about 5 weeks before it showed up.
I ordered a blue STX with a 5.0 and FX4, it got built yesterday! I’m pumped. These new trucks are beautiful. And the stx has the best looking grill of the lineup, try and change my mind
Your the first person I've seen to review the 2022 model year STX. I ordered my 22 STX last month assuming the 2021 features I liked would still be on the 2022. That door on the upper glove box had a nice upscale look with the brushed metal looking finish on last year's model. Without it, it kind of adds a generic U-haul cab vibe to the interior- although admittedly I haven't seen it in person. I was disappointed to find it along with a few other small things missing in 2022- presumably due to production delay issues. It's not a game changer for me or anything, but I'm looking for a video that compares what's changed on the 22 vs the 21?
Appreciate this review. Best looking trim imo. The grill, those 20" wheels! Same size tires as Tremor (33" by 275mm). Looks just as capable too. Best value in F150 by far.
If I didn't go insanely over budget on my '21 F150 Tremor, I'd consider the looks of the STX.. the grill looks better than the XLT imo. I was originally looking at a decent equipped XLT.. but then saw the Tremor and I was done for!
In the video jvette01 said it requires premium. Enjoy it if you have it, a 2.7 pushing that much power is at its limit, great for a small car but not enough for a big vehicle, i still enjoy the v8.

It's $50,000+

It's true. They spend $70,000 or more. $20,000 new pickup days are over. Then again, a 2022 F150 is far and away better in every way than a 1988 F150.

Me too!
How do you get the driver's side rear seat to fold up? I have a 2021, but can't get it to fold up.
Pull the strap on the side of the seat and lift it up
@@JVette01 Thanks, it was just jammed.
Glad you figured it out!
If it had power seats it would be perfect. Adjustment of up and down
Yeah I agree. I really like being able to lower and raise it
they don't include an upper glove box lid? why!??? that's so weird?
They just decided to do it that way on ‘22 STX trucks
Any word on the lightning I want to order one
You had to have a reservation from day 1 and be selected by Ford in order to convert it into an order.
400ftlbs of torque is a heck of a ton for a 2.7l, turbocharger regardless. Would be nicer on the gas prices too.
It really is an awesome engine
It takes premium! Engines too small.
