I do PM3 with 5/3, and even if SRF does 20% more damage (SRF 11.5-12Mil consistantly/Bullet rain 9-13M), it has 14s longer cooldown and is very situational vs Bullet rain. I feel like I can use bullet rain in situations where SRF just sits untouched and BR feels more safe since its ranged and mobility. Sometimes you can have SRF up but unable to use it in certain boss patterns while Bullet rain can be used most of the time with way less cooldown
If you want 100% crit on shotgun, and don't have Lostwind Cliff, you need 1537 crit. Unfortunately as a GS i don't have an other crit synergy in the party most of the time, can't really plan with that.
You can use nightmare or salvation. If you don't know the raid, nightmare is the way to go since you'll just keep resetting the salvation stacks from dropping below the HP threshold required to keep them. If you do know the raid and have some swiftness (for example 1200 crit, 500 spec and 500 swift), nightmare is good because of consistency. If you're using the 1400 crit + 800 spec, you might wanna look into salvation and try to keep the stacks at all times because of the added 10% attack speed bonus on max stacks alongside the damage. For min-maxing, you want salvation. But as for everything when it comes to min-maxing, that requires you to never lose the stacks the entire fight, so between nightmare and salvation, it honestly depends on whether you can keep the salvation stacks most of the fight, if you need the 10% attack speed bonus from salvation or if you just want the consistency that the nightmare set gives you in terms of damage. It gives _slightly_ less damage than salvation (5% or somewhere around that, don't know from the top of my head), but the consistency that you get from not losing the whole damage bonus when you smacked hard in the face, forcing you to waste another 10-12 seconds getting those stacks back might work out better for you.
@@SuperfluousIndividual pretty sure nightmare set scales better with your wep quality and crit spec with 0 swift nighmare and high wep qual is still the highest dmg ceiling for GS. Personal pref tho as the playstyle will be extremely slow compared to salvation

because of only 18 tripods i discarded SRF and using Cata ps and bullet rain as my sub dps skills.. SRF takes 3 tripods while sniper only takes 2... Thats me though
@@leyingzhou u need 3 tripods on dual buckshot and sharpshooter regardless. Rifle takes 2 tripods. If I was using srf instead of catastrophe I would lose 1 tripod spot for quick step att speed and movement speed buff. So I had no choice to swap out. Bullet rain does more dps then SRF considering both skills take 3 tripods.. so srf catastrophe and perfect shot is the 3 sub dps skill that's ideal

Im confused for regular content if you’re pm3, should take srf drop bullet rain, but for hell mode pm3 you take srf and drop perfect shot, reasoning in the video is cause perfect shot only good below 50%, hell mode bosses spend more time above 50% than regular bosses?
Heavily recommend change of direction on focused shot until you know every pattern, and even after that it lets you use the skill in situations where you couldn't otherwise. If you miss either of the final two hits just one time during a fight then the tripod would already have paid for itself.

Also curious about Heaven's Call vs Steady Shot for the last tripod on Target Down, there is a DPS calculator that said Heaven's Call did more damage on average during a full duration fight. HC: 1512.5% DMG (above 50% HP) and 4132.2% DMG (below 50% HP) which averages to 2822.35% DMG SS: 2628.73% DMG (above 50% HP) and 2867.7% DMG (below 50% HP, from Peacemaker's rifle buff) which averages to 2748.22% DMG edit: for context, Steady Shot (+120% damage on direct hits) is the meta choice atm. Heaven's Call (+35% crit rate at all times, +197% stacking crit damage from 2nd hit onwards vs

It got nerfed. Also, gunslinger does not have a very efficient way to proc it. The time is better spent casting DPS abilities.
