BTW GUYS.. this is my first video using my new studio lighting setup!! I’m pretty impressed, I’d love to hear what you guys think!! 👊🏼😁
Lights look great homie!
@@guynamedjohn69 thanks brother!!
Lighting is really good clear and not overexposed. Great job
Thanks for the feedback brother!! 🙏🏻
Sick build! I love the Manix 2. So sharp she just had to bite and let you know!
Thanks brother and I know right 😂 It be like that sometimes 🤷🏻♂️🤣💯
The edge on that knife is INCREDIBLE.
Thanks brother! 👊🏼😁
I did the rockscale skinny smooth titanium scales for my 15v manix. It’s super nice. Can’t believe it took me this many years to get a manix. I think this might be fave Spyderco.
Wow!! Your lighting looks amazing!! ⭐️👍Another spectacular video! Keep up your great work!!❤️👍⭐️❤️
An excellent upgrade! The manix 2 is one I've wanted a long time. Great video brother 👍
The red really adds a lovely pop to the blade, Seeing This makes me think I’m going to have to start a Manix build
😂great vid ⭐️ sound quality was great
Thanks for the kind words and feedback! Manix 2 builds are definitely fun!!
Sick build bro.. those rockscales look good on the manix.🔥🔥🔥
Thanks brother!! 👊🏼😁
It sounds like the CRK texture of that make sense. Like the literal sound it makes when u touch it
That’s exactly how it is!
@@BLADESANDFADESOFFICIAL Bro I love the feeling of the CRK texture. When u get a chance can u check your email I have a couple? s about a build I want to do
Lighting looks great! I bet that action will eventually loosen up with use.
Mine are awesome and I love these scales.
So, months later, you still like the skinny scales? I’m contemplating…like the curves of the regular scale, but if the skinny improves feel? Also wish I could find the darker graphite version😢
Lmao.. i was just telling you to get RSD skinny scales like yesterday.
Great minds my dude 😁
👊🏼😁
Looks good man, I think some black hardware would finish it off nicely!!
Nice build brother. Rock scales makes nice replacement ti scales, I have some for my bugout and 940 and definitely makes the knives better. I'm wondering how the bottom half of those scales feel not having a solid connection because of the lanyard tube not being press fit anymore.
Thanks brother and thats a great question! No real issues so far but I’m still feeling them out and seeing how they do!
need a red clip dude
First time seeing your stuff, really enjoyed the simplicity of the advice.
Great content.
What about a red lanyard tube? Not screws tho, that would be too much.
Slick open and close.
Thanks man I really appreciate it! And Id love a red lanyard tube but I’m not sure that anyone makes them. I don’t think you can anodize titanium red 🤔
@@BLADESANDFADESOFFICIAL nah, i think you are right aboir going red.
I think the closest is magenta, rose, or purple
Man you got me wanting to swap my scales out now Lol
They are definitely sexy but id suggest holding off a week or so till I get a good feel for them and do a review because I do really like them but as of this second I’m not 100% certain that id recommend these specific ones! They definitely arent bad but theirs some differences worth noting that some people may not be a fan of!
I’d be concerned that the ball cage is fully extended in the track when it’s open. It has no room to extend more. I’d check for lock rock.
I don’t think theres any difference in the length of the track but even if there was, it still has enough spring tension to keep the ball fully engaged with the blade.
what knife/set-up is on your mat in the upper right?
Spyderco paramilitary 2 with Flytanium Ti Lotus scales and anodized ti hardware
Might go this route with my 15V Manix….are those titanium scales a lot heavier?
Actually lighter!! Deletes the liners!!
You should get a white or black ceramic ball next!
Honestly feel they are a waste of money, id be willing to try it and see but just not interested enough to spend money on one. This build doesn’t leave me with anything to be desired, I’m extremely satisfied with it!
I put the ceramic balls in all my manix 2's because it comes with the ball cage replacement set from ocd4edc but there isn't a noticeable feel from one another. The only part I don't use is the lighter spring because I prefer a snappier deployment and the stock springs lock up the knife stronger.
@@chriswebb3018 yeah same here! That’s exactly what I figured and that certainly wouldn’t be a upgrade for my preferences! Thanks for clarifying! 👊🏼😁
People always say/show how difficult it is to remove the scales from a Manix…even having to buy a press tool. Wonder why yours came off so easily? It’s one of the reasons I’m hesitant….
Some people just aren’t very good with their hands or mechanical skills. There’s nothing about it that seems difficult to me but I’ve worked on alot more knives than the average person so idk man… Probably just depends on your personal skills but as long as you use quality torx drivers such as the ones I use and always recommend, you shouldn’t have to much trouble! 🤷🏻♂️
Also, you don’t need the press tool. Sometimes the lanyard tube is a little tight but it’s easy to get the scales apart. You just work it side to side till it comes apart. It’s really not as difficult as alot of people make it out to be!
@@BLADESANDFADESOFFICIAL ….Nice to hear‼️ I’m about to order a Manix (my 1st Spyderco), see lots of complaining on vids, LOL. Guess just go slow, with the help of vids like yours…and maybe a beer😅
How much does it weigh now?
Lighter than before but idk the exact weight 🤷🏻♂️
That looks s3xy as sh!t, love it.
Lighting was perfect throughout.
Thanks brother!!! I appreciate the feedback!! 💯👊🏼😁
