I've switched back and forth between 1440p and 1080p on S22 Ultra and think I'll keep it on 1080p. Resolution is one factor out of many others that determines a screen's quality. @@marasion0862 No 1080p is not fine for a Flagship phone in excess of £1000
@@smguk2412Why is it not fine then? Are you going to use a magnifying glass on the screen? Otherwise there's barely a difference visually between fhd and qhd. Yes, they could've dropped the resolution from 4k to 1440p instead of 1080p, but the difference in battery life is more noticeable than the visual difference. I've switched back and forth between 1440p and 1080p on S22 Ultra and think I'll keep it on 1080p.
Resolution is one factor out of many others that determines a screen's quality. In other aspects, the 1 VI has an improved screen compared to the 1 V. Higher brightness, ltpo, improved color accuracy...
By the way, an iPhone 15 Pro Max (which is also a flagship costing >1k) has a resolution of 2796x1290, which is fhd. Thus, most content will be displayed in 1080p. And I have never heard anyone complaining about the displays on modern iPhones.
