The Sony Xperia is a big disappointment considering the hardware. The user will need to manually adjust settings, so is not a good point and shoot. In video the Xperia 1 VI is just as disappointing. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is very consistent, Pixel 9XL Pro and Galaxy S24 Ultra are good, but Xperia needs work! Imaging paying that amount and getting those results. Even my Galaxy S23 Ultra probably performs better!
He must have it set different to my Xperia 1 V1 because it doesn't look anything like his review and the video settings he must have had it set on nostalgic mode for it to come out like it did,yet another reviewer who doesn't know how to use it.
Nice, but I think you need more info about the 1 VI. 1. It has optical zoom between 3.5 to 7.5. 2. Use the tele-macro mode for macro shot. 3. 4K 120fps recording is actually supported on all 3 lenses (including telemacro mode)
Xperia 1 VI has a 5x optical zoom. The zoom is going from 3.5x zo 7.1x optically. Further on the Xperia 1 VI can shoot 4k 120fps on all camera lenses. Not sure why you said it can do only 1080p in Slo Mo

The thing with the hazy thing in some of 1x photos in S24 Ultra is the fact it creates a moist or unnecessary dirt on the 1x lens, and no cleaning up added that affect the overally quality of the photo, just to bear in mind before taking photos at any lenses.
One thing about Iphone potraits though it has more details but it makes skin tone looks darker than it is esp. for people with brown skin tone. It got too much contrast. I'm using Iphone 14pro & I guess it wouldn't be much different from the 16 pro. Pixel might not be that accurate too but it is much better.
I think the Xperia one has a telephoto lens dedicated to macro photography. The other samples I have seen have been much closer up and have very good detail. I may be mistaken, though.
Do you know what “crushed” means?? It means all the details in the shadow area are GONE. Just because the iphone picture seems darker (higher contrast), doesnt mean the details are gone, or “crushed”. Brighten the picture, and you will know that the details are preserved. Just like a raw file image is taken, they seem overexposed, but after the color grading is done, the details are still there. Learn the difference??
Idk man, the iPhone was extremely impressive. Easily the sharpest, most detailed most of the time and the most color accurate. Apple did an amazing job there for sure
Maybe you set your pixel 9 pro XL camera differently. Nothing of all you said does reflect my pixel 9 pro XL camera. My pixel 9 pro XL gives you the most natural look. The pictures taken with the pixel 9 pro XL are never as bright as those taken with the iPhone and Samsung unless you apply the editing features.
I am surprised, Samsung's skin tone game is greatly improved I love to see it Thank you for the video. It looks like it is a lot of work to handle that many phones
If you filmed it yesterday, I went to see the Spanish Galleon by Tower Bridge in the evening. I manage to take photos and videos. I cycled from Erith following the galleon, then got in place to record Tower Bridge raising twice. My S23 Ultra did a good job. The galleon was late, but I didn't start out until tracking showed it was in London. That would have been a good addition to the test.
I think you don't really know what you want, you're so confused about the comparison. You don't see anything wrong about iPhone photos, this is why iPhone will always fail a blind camera test.
The only phone that can record 4k 120fps on all 3 lenses is Xperia 1 VI. Xperia really isn't a "point and shoot" device, dialing down the shutter and iso on the pro mode will give you great shots, even better than what other top dogs can achieve, especially in low light. FYI, it has a telephoto macro lens which is one of the best macro lens out there in the market. The normal tele shots aren't that good compared to others. Anyway, great comparison.
All the camera features aside, I was shocked by the iPhone’s performance in the wind noise test. It’s almost illegal how much better it is compared to the others and how much it has improved!
S24U doesn't have 10x telephoto lens, it's 5x. It's predecessor S23U is the one with 10x. 😂 Other than that, it's a great video. Keep up with the good work! 😊

The previous S23 Ultra has the 10x 10mp telephoto camera. I suspect it was a typo error, but you also state it @8:53. The Sony telephoto has proper optical zoom from 85mm to 170mm(3.5x - 7.1x), so is not digital cropping unless beyond the 170mm! The Xperia 1 VI makes the orange watch strap colour bright! I love the T shirt.

Google's camera system is a hot mess. Their HDR processing is overcooked, shadows are overly lifted, and there's still a ton of noise in daylight. It's clear they're focusing too much on software and need to invest in better hardware, like a bigger and higher-quality sensor. Google promised a breakthrough with True Tone for accurate skin tone capture, but it turned out to be a complete flop. They completely messed up the whole thing.
