I just have to say roller coasters have changed my life! My son loves them and he is an amazing young man who knows all about them and I dedicate this comment to him I love you son!
My son's recent obsession with roller coasters (despite being too small to ride most) got me into them too and luckily for me Liseberg is 10 minutes away. I've been 3 times this month already I love it.
Helix probably has the best mix of airtime, positives hangtime and whip of any coaster I've ridden. The layout has so much variety and it's amazing. And I definitely agree with you on the launches. I went in expecting completely forceless launches but I was actually pushed back into my seat a bit. They're definitely not the most forceful, but the force is there.
Just discovered your channel after I've been considering going to Liseberg for the first time. This video was great, loved the way it was edited and all the little memes and references, keep it up!
Helix was on my bucket list for a long time, and I really had goosebumps when I finally got to ride it this summer: My expectations were high, but it still blew me away - what an amazing layout combined with high comfort and a banger of a soundtrack. It ranks at #2 in my favorites right behind Ride to Happiness! 🤩 Thanks for this fun review - I really appreciate the humorous elements and the Amaranthe reference near the end, it's a great band 🤘🏻
I had a blast riding this with you and the boys. My first ride on Helix in the front definitely left a lot to be desired. It brought me back to Taron and how disappointed I was after riding that coaster. But unlike Taron, Helix was able to redeem itself considerably. Like you said, we didn’t even bother to try front again because back was just that awesome! I love the variety of forces and elements on this ride and I think it’s one of the most pure fun coaster experiences, especially to marathon. 9/10 for me 🙌🏻
Loved riding it with you guys! It's definitely got a lot of variety across that long layout, which, on top of the setting, really is its strength. Couldn't agree more!
100% agree with the smoothness take. After recently riding RTH, I can indeed confirm that Helix is a LOT smoother. But as a whole ride, I definitely prefer RTH.
I got to ride Helix for the first time a few weeks ago and it was fantastic, definitely was not underwhelmed at all despite being hyped for this thing since it was being built. I have two associations with the name, one being the double helix of the DNA fitting the lab style of the station and then ivy - scientific name Hedera helix - and the coaster itself makes quite a good impression of that plant as it wraps around the hill. 😀
Great video! This video was made really good! This does look like a great coaster! My record for inversions on a coaster I've ridden is 7 as well on Banshee at Kings Island in Ohio. I like Banshee. Yeah the theming on this is kinda perplexing just like Kingda Ka in New Jersey for example.
The launches was the only disapointing thing with this coaster. everything else is amazing. and i still like the launches. My favorite part of the ride is the whip after the corkscrew, I fucking love getting Flung down the hill its so fucking enjoyable
I’d say MACK has been really underrated until RTH came around, but they’ve actually always been good rides. Can’t believe that I’ll ride both this and Exodus next year ! I’m such a lucky boy 🤣
It wouldn't surprise me if it was on purpose, since they probably want the model to be enjoyable for most people. Blue Fire also goes up and down in intensity through the entire layout and I've heard Copperhead Strike does, too
Normal coasters Start off with a big drop and fizzle out to the end. Helix just keeps the same pace trough its Layout and therefor behaves very different from normal rides, personally i just enjoy it very much. Its one of these rides where you lean your head back, close your eyes, fold your hands on the lap bar and just enjoy what the engineers did there
Rode Helix a few weeks ago and loved the setting but was a bit underwhelmed by the ride experience. Only managed to get middle row and one ride late in the afternoon as Park was really busy. Wish we’d now missed some of the other rides and got a back row ride. On the middle row ride we had, was left feeling like it needed a rocket in its backside, really disappointed with the pacing. Still enjoyed it but was expecting so much more, think we must of caught it on a bad day.
Sorry to hear that you didn't get the ideal ride you hoped for. I can definitely see why it underwhelmed you, as it did on my first ride. It's certainly one that requires a few more rides to fully appreciate, I think.
Helix is my favorite coaster EVER!

Your edits always crack me up! 😂 Keep em coming!
Delightful to hear! 🤩
Well we will see tomorrow how good it is! Passing next to liseberg with the tram while it's closed is torture though XD
Have fun! Yea, we passed it again on our way home from Norway and it kinda hurts to just go past 😅
Hilarious as always 🤣 - Little tease for a UK visit? Haha. Quality content :)
Thanks, Corvus!
Well, I don't actually have any plans for a UK visit yet, but it hopefully won't be too many years 🙂

The variety is perfect!
Also pleased to hear the first person besides myself notice the launch forces 😂
Love this coaster. Pretty much a no limits creation come to life.
Haven't thought of it like that, but yes! Absolutely

You should definitely go if you can. It's an amazing park!

It's a magnificent ride!
Thanks for watching!
13:46 My man put Amaranthe on a coaster review and made the video quality boost up to 360%
That was actually my first exposure to Amaranthe and it's a fire song!
@@NorthernRidesYaBoi Check them out! And anyways, amazing videos as always! You're one of my favourite coaster youtubers!
Yeah, this band kicks ass - I even met them after an amazing concert at Burger King, and they're really nice people :)
@@BassGuitarSlide Burger King does give the best concerts
All like all the Rollercosteres
Fantastic review. Ima need to ride this ASAP.
Thank you 🥰
Yes you do!
I just got over my fear of rollercoasters and i would love to go on every rollercoaster in sweden with you, seem like a nice guy
I'm flattered!
Great review❤

RtH still manages to be a lot crazier, so I can't blame ya!
Helix looks so sick and is my bucketlist #1 also cause i am mack fan
It's incredible! You should definitely make your way to ride it some day 😁

This all makes a lot of sense!
Helix isn’t about being fastest, longest or most intense. But being fun to ride. Just throws you into action and entertain you to the final brake.
And it does it so well!
Homepark 😎🇸🇪❤🇩🇰
Would love this as my home park!
You are so lucky bro

Thanks a lot, Michael!
Would love to ride both Banshee and Ka 😍
@NorthernRidesYaBoi You're very welcome! Yeah you'd probably like both Banshee and Kingda Ka a lot! I've only ridden Banshee out of the two though.

Exodus looks so nuts. It's hard to believe that England will get such a beast!
@@NorthernRidesYaBoi you should join Corvus and I next year if you wanna try it !
And now you have to go and try Taiga! It is the next logical step.
Oh yes please, give me the blue Finnish Helix 😍
Somehow green track rides rocks
Absolutely
It sounds like Icon with the weird change of intensity pacing throughout the layout, idk if Mack do this on purpose to allow for some restpite

Of course helix is good it is a MACK PRODUKT after all
🇩🇪 ICH LIEBE DAS MACK PRODUKT 🇩🇪
Sehr gut! Ganz schön extrem auf der Außenposition, ganz schöne Beschleunigung ;)

I'm sure you'll get to it one day :)

For f*ck sake nik, now im questening myself, do i like helix more than karnan? Can i do it? Aaaahhhhh
I don't even know myself until I re-ride Kärnan lol
The back row is for plus size ppl, that's why you get thrown around lol
Only makes it better
