Nice video. You were practically in my back yard! I just got back from a cross country ride, and I know now how spoiled we are for great roads to ride in this region.

I got spoiled myself just being there for a few days!

I can’t get a demo ride anywhere, do you know how the Goldwing compares to the Harley-davidson Ultra Limited?

I have unfortunately not been on an ultra, the closest Harley I have to compare with would be a street glide and that really doesn’t come close enough to the ultra.

I own both - a '15 ultra limited, and a '19 Tour DCT. I like the Harley, but I love the goldwing. The Harley is heavy, loud(ish), and slow. The Honda is light, quiet, and fast. Of course there are many other differences between them, but these are the obvious ones. I found that most, if not all of the cons reported by owners of the new goldwing are non issues. Your really need to find one to test ride. I wasn't convinced on my first test ride - it took me 3 and a year to decide. If I could have only one of these bikes, it would be the goldwing, and I'm a long time Harley touring bike rider.

hogdriver88 Thanks, I’m not real bothered about speed, I don’t ride fast, I prefer to see the scenery. I’m more into comfort, reliability, build quality, weather protection, tank range (mpg), ease to work on, and good lights for night riding. Other importants are handling and seat height (I’m about 32” leg), I like my feet flat on floor when stopped. Btw, my wife thinks Harleys look like proper bikes with style and image but thinks the new Goldwing looks like other Japanese bikes. I’d need to persuade her.. happy wife=happy life. Good news is I might be getting a demo ride soon.

@@wonnovmenny7441 I'm not a speed freak either. But I do appreciate performance, and the Goldwing has got it. Makes me chuckle at what this bike will do out of the box when I hear all the talk about Stage 4 upgrades. Find an engine performance chart somewhere and look at the torque 'curve' - it's essentially flat, with max torque available starting around 1500 rpm up to redline. Performance is available at the throttle, but also in the handling, and the brakes are insanely good. Reliabililty - well, it's a Honda. Are they all perfect? No, but pretty damn close. I didn't go with a new HD because of the issues (still) with the Milwaukee 8 motor - wasn't gonna chance it. HD paint is better, plastic is better, weather protection is probably better especially with the lowers. My Wing in Darkness Black metallic looks awesome, I find the fit and finish to be excellent. Haven't ridden it in the rain yet, but it seems like it will have sufficient protection. Yes, the windshield and bulk of the fairing are narrower than the HD, but still cover quite a bit of area. And this shield is electrically adjustable for height. Tank holds 5.5g vs HD's 6g, but economy is far better - I've seen low - mid 50's and that's actual mpg by math, not just by the bike's computer (which is surprisingly accurate). Ride it hard in Sport Mode, and you'll be in the 30's. Ease to work on - haha - forget it with the Honda - HD wins hands down. But there are a couple of guys who produce DIY maintenance videos that will let you do most of your own maintenance (Cruiseman's Garage and Fred Harmon). Haven't ridden the Honda at night yet, but the headlights are all LED. I'm also about a 32" inseam - I'm flatfooted on the Limited but on my toes a little on the Honda. I don't find it to be an issue. Comfort - depends on the rider - a lot bitch about the stock Honda seat. I've been on it for 2 hours and I'm fine with it. By that time I need to get that helmet off anyway no matter what bike I'm on. I feel I sit 'in' the HD seat, and 'on' the Gold Wing seat. I needed a backrest for the Honda and I will need highway pegs too, just like the HD. The HD seating position is more relaxed and foot forward, and the Honda is more upright with feet just slightly behind the knees, which I don't care for. Gotta get highway pegs. My wife is comfortable on both. I asked her to pick the one she likes best - she couldn't. She also couldn't pick the one she likes least. So she's happy either way, and not because of what she thinks I may like. One of the biggest things for me is, no vibration with the Honda. I can be on it all day and I'm not fatigued at all, unlike the HD, which is a workout to ride. Like comparing a Cadillac to a dump truck and yes I've driven both. Both bikes are good, but to me the Honda is the clear winner.

hogdriver88 Just one more thing I forgot to ask... which has the lowest center of gravity, Goldwing or Ultra?
