They represent two generations of one of India’s leading political families. Father and son - they are the descendants of the renowned “Lion of Kashmir” Sheikh Abdullah.
Farooq Abdullah was the Chief MInister of Kashmir then - and Omar had just joined politics. It was a pleasure to have a rendezvous with both of them.. and to go back now and see how they were..

This is such a pathetic comment that I couldn’t go past it without having to elucidate to you such a basic thing as how successful marriages work. He formed a liking towards her for all the reasons that he himself admired in a woman. The fact that she checked the boxes of a how he wanted the mother of his kids to be was genuine in so far as he was looking to spend his future with her and not just a night. If anything, you must appreciate that there are such men who are on a lookout for things that kick start this scared relation. He might as well have been in love with her for how good a wife and mother she would turn out to be, which she did.
