Being from J&K, I always had a completely different image of Dr. Omar Abdullah. This interview changed it for good. Such a smart, down-to-earth and humorous person!

Omar Abdullah...Man! How intelligent, experienced, soft hearted, educated and witty personality we have. That's why the average system of our society failed him.
The answer on nepotism in politics was awesome that you inherit enemies too you don't know personally. His concern on victimising the minority is being sensed by many of us too. They chose to stay here. Instead of moving forward we are going backwards.

he said Musharraf meet was turning point in kashmir's history probably the solution of conflict, but hurriyat leader mirwaiz umar farooq also met Musharraf 5 times different places, hurriyat always wanted independent kashmir
now what was solution of Musharraf, who had evoked mixed feelings in Kashmir by spelling out his four-point formula - open borders, demilitarisation on both sides of the Line of Control, self-governance and joint mechanism - in December 2006, is expected to be in Delhi this weekend.

My perception for Mr Abdullah has got immensely changed after watching him here. The sense of pain and frustration is so much visible in his voice when he spoke about fellow Muslims in other part of India. Truly this current Govt has brought down democracy to its knee..Perhaps God even doesn't know what would be plight of India. I am a Hindu yet can feel his voice so deeply for his Muslim minority people.

@@swetashoots it wasn't there crime, at that time there was political unrest religions were boiling but one thing for sure THE KASHMIR FILES showed half truth many many muslims too died they were called kafirs and were burnt alive many have given shelters to kashmiri pandits but for mainstream and for industry it is all about to have mass reach with built narrative, as Omar Abdullah said NO SANE PERSON WOULD SAY THAT EXODUS WAS A GOOD THING and today what big media houses are doing spreading propaganda is at next level, it's good that right wing ideology is on rise but the extremism the current govt spreading is also wrong

Best interview so far. Omar is hidden gem in Indian politics. His humour, his acceptance to certain realities and way of dealing with issues that no politicians want to talk on.
