I haven't watched enough to form an opinion other than there was no reason that she ought to sell the piano, especially for a fraction of what she paid for it. Financial profit is not her motive for decluttering. A piano amidst the hordes of small things would be last on the list to eliminate. Plus, once the clutter is gone she may be inspired to play again.
That Curtis guy should not be profiting as a middle man. He gets paid for being on the show and practically gives items away. Clearly not in the owner's best interest.
This is like saying that psychiatrists are not allowed to have psychiatric issues or that dentists go regularly to check-ups ... People are often good at telling others what to do even if they do not follow that advice.
No. The price is dead-on. There are people all over Craigslist trying to give away pianos to people who will move them after they didn’t even sell. People don’t want pianos. There’s a reason he’s an expert and you are NOT.

I like the approach in this series, selling worth while items to get money for the hoarders/ collectors give them something in return for their over buying
I would not give my designer clothes, bags and shoes to charity either because they are to good to give away for free. Why would I give it away for free if I can sell them for a good price?
This show in particular makes me want to be friends with these people to come play with their toys and get in their closets. Mrs Bling is totally one of them. And I also LOVE instrument collector guy. 😍
It's funny ,she has a lot of shoes and I have only one pair and I don't mind sharing it with my sisters yet she can't even give share with the poor families in her country coz I think they are there.
No, not really, but I think they said only half of the instruments were sold (otherwise they were robbed)? If one compares the earnings to the ones of the other lady (who apparently had nothing of value and made around half of their earnings) it is way too little. They might have earned more if some of the things were sold online, individually. She had new shoes that could be sold on eBay for 20-40£ without problem. It might be that the helpers sold everything in bulk and while that is faster, it makes less money.
This is off topic and I hope it doesn't sound unkind, as it's not meant that way. JoAnn is a very pretty young woman and obviously very good at what she does. I wish I, as a much older woman, could tell her to please work on her posture. As she gets older, that round-shouldered way she stands is going to set in and make her look older than she is, as well as possibly causing aches and pains. As I said, this is meant to be kind and constructive, not critical.
