- In this video I will show you how to layout your laminate floor so you don't end up with a sliver as a final row somewhere. When your laminate installation has a lot of different areas that the floor will flow through, you will want to be sure you know what you are doing with the layout.

I really appreciate the effort you made to make these videos. They are so helpful. Thank you.
+candace miller thank you I appreciate it!
Awesome tip with the cheat sheet. Makes for a professional layout!
Thanks, I just watched four of your videos and am now ready to finish what I started like six months ago. I was stuck on the transitions and in another spot i couldn't get them to latch together because i had no leverage under a door jamb. My husband is going to love you....I mean, for giving him an actual finished hallway again...
Much appreciated
Haha!
Thank you so much for the tips! Your videos are great. God bless
Your videos are great and I am using them quite a bit on my first install ever!

Excellent videos. I've done laminate in a few bedrooms, but I'm about to tackle something much like the house in these videos. Out of curiosity, why not start in the hall, get all the complexity out of the way, and end on a simple flat wall? My hall only has doors on one side, so I was thinking I'd go that way.
You can start wherever you want. I just prefer to start in an area where I can build a solid foundation first. So, to me it's easier to start where I did.
when you make your cheat sheet and measure plank width. is it the finished width or tongue to groove width?
Yes the finished part of the plank.
Best video series on this subject sir!! One problem, most of the videos have no audio??? All my settings are fine.
Thx and the audio is working on my end!
Bizarre...not all have audio?
Do you have a video of transition from the laminate floor to the tiles in a bathroom? I’m putting laminate in my loft, hallway and bedrooms in the top floor but when I remove the carpet in the hallway where the bathroom is the floor in the bathroom is a lot higher then the subfloor how can I do a transition? Thank you
Yes but i need to see a pic. You can share one on my Facebook page there is a link below in the description
Where would you start with laminate flooring if you doing the loft connected to a hallway then the bedrooms?
I can help you with your layout and all your questions. There is a link below for Laminate University. As a member you can share drawings and all of your questions and I will help you through there.
Good vid...your cheat sheet should include your expansion gaps...
There are no expansion gaps between the planks.
I am laying a good quality vinyl plank in my basement and the company and head flooring guy at the store recommends transitions in every room regardless it is plank on plank due to the shifting. Thoughts??
No I wouldnt. Here is why- They look horrible. I always take the chance and do not install transitions in doorways like this. If there is a problem in the future it is super easy to put a transition in the door then. The only problem I would forsee is the floor would pull apart there. So apply some wood glue in that joint before putting the laminate together.
Thanks. Thought that much but error-ed on the side of caution.
I don’t see a video of you installing the laminate transitions on wood subfloor or concrete
I have a video about transitions.
I'd love to be this smart but it ain't gonna happen.
I have my own method
Its called
Lay and pray..
How do u just move the hallway over if u r starting in the far corner of the living room?
Also what if your room is not square. I have been told to start laying in the center of the room for that purpose. Is this required?
I adjust my starter row. Watch all of the layout video to understand better. Otherwise just ask me on my facebook page. There is a link below.
Ya. Sorry I had to watch it again. Got it. Awesome videos BTW. They helped out a ton.
Where is the link?
