As a single man, i was hesitant to have a go with an air fryer.. this video alone has boosted my confidence with blowing up the kitchen in trial and error. Love the way you get down to the job in hand.. no long intro just ... here we goooooo.
Hi Lindz, I only got my Ninja Air Fryer AF451UK last week (same as yours). This is on my menu for next weekend. Love your videos and as others have said, just straightforward delivery with no added unecessary "padding". Also, it gives me confidence when you apologise for your tiny "errors". Thank you for the vids and I am loving them so much, I am now a Subscriber.
What I always do when handling chicken, run a bowl of warm soapy water so if you need it you do not have to touch anything including the hot and cold taps.
as a newbie to A/ F. i must say your dishes & cooking guides are fabulous. Done a couple of your cooks. I do like how the camera is on the food. Many thx for posting & reading this. Keep up the excellent work. Looking forward to many more.
Thanks so much for you upload and for keeping it straightforward and uncomplicated. Our Ninja should arrive within next 7 days and looking forward to putting it through it's paces.
Commenting whilst watching. Audio is fine whilst cooker is on. Impressed with the potato peeler, even though you say it's old. You also apologise for being a beginner, but I appreciate the amateur feel of the video. No need for slick editing, I like to see these products used in a way the normal consumer would.
Thank you, lovely, for your kind comment. It's great to hear your feedback 😀 I can't ever see me doing slick editing it's a wonder I get as far as I do 🤣 Have a great day x
Hi Lindz, I've just got my Ninja today and was scared to death to even touch it until I saw your video! Mine is the one without the probe as, like you, I've got my own trusted one. Thank you so much for your lovely, down to earth, and natural commentary! I'll watch all your other videos as part of my Ninja journey. Subscribed.
Hello Lindz I am about to buy an air fryer and your videos (I've watched two) are really great and I know will help me a lot. Thank you for explaining things so simply. New subscriber and yes, I have liked too 🥰
Just watched your video and its the best yet. Americans are so over the top, but you are on my wavelength. Just bought one of these and its just sat there waiting, but youve made we want to cook a chicken roast now. Thank you!
Hiya lovely's hope your all having a good day/night ❤ If you enjoyed this please could you hit the thumbs up on the video. It would really mean alot to me Xx
I guess a couple of comments, I think once you get some more experience with your Ninja you will find you really don't need to take things out and turn them very often. Or have most things covered when cooking. Also I'm sure it's a British expression but in 40 years my wife has never called me "her Lovely" so it's pretty nice being one of your Lovelies. Who says the English can't cook!
Hi Daniel 👋 Your comment gave me a smile. Thank you for that. I'm nearly 6 months in now with my ninja, and you're definitely right. I think maybe just once halfway through is plenty to turn or shake. No comment on the English thing as I live and learnt to cook in Ireland x

Part of my confusion is I want a multi function model & one that's energy saving, though I suppose they're all basically meant to be. I wonder if having one big enough for a full roast sacrifices some energy saving? If you've the space & money perhaps you need 2 - one for roasts & one for everyday economy use!?
Hi David 👋 My ninja is 9.5l in total, I have a cosori also that has a single draw only 4.7l but I love it and it's handy for 2 people and uses less electricity good everyday airfryer. It's a mind field now with so many units on the market. I will say my ninja uses more electricity using only 1 draw than my cosori. So I think checking the wattage might be an idea. For example my cosori is 1700w and ninja is 2400w aprox. Great tips on the roasts and I haven't used goose fat in years as it's a tad out of the weekly budget. Hope I've helped have a great day x
I know what you mean about the chicken, its never tasted so good. Morrisons are doing chicken wings for £2 in the butchers aisle and they are are great in the airfryer. Dinner looked yummy!! Looking forward to your next video hun xx
Hiya sue ❤ I absolutely love chicken wings with just salt on done in the air fryer. I do have another recipe I might film to for sweet chilli ones 😋 Have a great day lovely Xx
Hi, what an inspirational video and such a lovely kind and uncomplicated video. We have just purchased our first Air Fryer, we are in our 70,s and very nervous of this digital new way of cooking. However our gas oven packed up, we cant find anyone to fix it, in desperation bought the airfryer. Hello Lindz, thank you for your answer. I watched the video, but I thought you would show it. No matter, I decided to buy the Foody Max pro grill, you simply lift the lid. For me, easier and more visible than the “hidden” heating elements. But the decision was also made because of the heated grill plate 😉 have a great New Years Eve 🎊
Hi Nina, you're welcome, lovely. I would have shown it, but to be honest, I don't let mine get bad, so there's not much to show. I think you made a great choice. I bought the ninja speedi as I like the lift up lid, although I haven't used it yet and am still debating with myself if it was the right choice 😅 x
@ruthmckenna219 I'll be honest, Ruth, the reason most of us small youtuber don't add info like that is because watching the videos is the only way we make money through watch time and adds X
I've just ordered one, coming tomorrow. So, during cooking you can just pull a drawer out to stir and that will automatically pause the machine until you put it back it again?
@@LindzandLife Thanks. Should be here soon, waiting for the delivery. I'll be using it tonight. Thanks for the tip for the spray oil, I bought some 1 kal, and will refill the bottle as needed. Have you found the best oil to use in it? Like, Olive, Sunflower or Vegetable?
@Natiko2000 I prefer vegetable oil lovely. Plus, it's cheaper. I'm not sure is it the healthiest 🤣 I tried coconut oil, and it seemed to leave a burnt taste. When I first got mine I gave the draws a good wash then poped them in empty and used the max crisp on match for 10 mins just to burn off any factory residue x
Why did you probe the chicken with a separate probe, when the ninja you are using comes with the probe, and cooking the chicken with it was brilliant well I found it was.
Hi Royston 👋 most of my subscribers don't have the probe model, so it's to include everyone. I am working on a few videos using it, but to be honest, I don't rate it that much. Mine isn't calibrated correctly unfortunately x
Hi again, I agree that probe put me off so I got the af400 instead... It also looks untidy.... Anyways I want to do a chicken if possible just for me lol so it don't have to be turkey size..... Loving u already u say it how it is 😊😊😊 yer they say cook upside down that there chicken we are all still learning 😊😊😊😊
Very good video and easy to follow. Just my kind of cooking, basic and simple. You are very easy to watch. My missus tells me off for refering to any females that I interact with as Love. Guess it is a scouse habit. Great tip to steam in the microwave too, instead of my usual in a short boil for 5 minutes
Hi Ronald 👋 At least you know where your sayings come from 🤣 Everyone in my life are lovelys. I used to par boil also, but with the price of energy, the microwave works out cheaper x
Hi Gina 👋 The first thing I tried in my first one was basic frozen chips boring but I burnt them 🤣 It just gave me a understanding of heat compared to my oven. We're all learning lovely it's trail and error for me most days. I think the biggest tip is knowing your cooked temperatures get a good temperature probe. Have a great weekend x
Hi Mark, Yes, I have, and unfortunately, I don't rate it at all so far. My advice is a separate temperature probe. I'll be honest I didn't get it for the probe I just didn't like the dial on the one without and heard it can be a pain. Hope that helps 😊
@@LindzandLife Thank you so much. I didn’t really want probe either, but this one is less expensive than the 400 model currently which is the same size. Thanks again.
Ok thought I’d post this on the chicken video So tonight I decided to try cooked chicken thighs and wow and to think I used to buy it. No fancy cook books required just the ninja book as it has the cooking temp and time needed. I also placed the chicken in a small foil tray seems to work fine and saves on the washing up. Not a huge fan of washing the trays now if I was at work wouldn’t be so bad bigger sink
Hi Anthony I love how the skin goes so crispy on thighs with just a touch of salt. I hear you on the washing up bit my sink not the problem it's my mixer tap that's to low 😅 I've got linners but there hit and miss and sometimes a danger as they like to blow into the heating element if not weight down.
Hi Anthony 👋 I find the water left on them from washing seems to be enough but sometimes add about a good tablespoon works hope this helps have great day 😀
Finally someone who has the same ninja I have. Subscribed and checking out your ninja goodies. FYI so far I have done microwave pasta dishes, fish fingers, breaded haddock, lamb steaks chicken breast, salmon
Hi Colin 👋 Thank you for your comment it did give me a laugh 😃 I know what you mean I think it's that 2400w motor it's got 😊 it is quieter on the bake setting though.I've also got a cosori and it is so much quieter but only a 1700w I love them both equally x
@colinbennington4157 So glad I can help 😊 I'm going to be doing a chicken using the probe and sync function for the roasties, and veg, I hope to have it out before Christmas 🎄 x
Great video - lovely natural style. Don't worry about being a YT newbie - carry on like that and they'll love you! Your genuiness and sincerity is worth several years at RADA 😊 BTW the chicken looks good too 😇

Hi Sue 👋 I have a cosori single draw air fryer also and takes around an hour in it 🙂 hope that helps x
Great watch 😊
What peeler is that mate?
Try adding salt pepper and paprika inside and outside the chicken. You will love it more.
Hi silvia, I love smoked paprika, so I must try it. Thank you lovely have a great day x
Have you revised your cooking settings for a whole chicken?
Hi Doug 👋 I haven't actually done another full chicken since this video, but I don't think I'd do anything different x
When you put the potatoes in the microwave do you put water in the container, and if so how much?😊
Hi Anthony 👋 I find the water left on them from washing seems to be enough but sometimes add about a good tablespoon works hope this helps have great day 😀
@LindzandLife Thanks you too
Finally someone who has the same ninja I have. Subscribed and checking out your ninja goodies.
FYI so far I have done microwave pasta dishes, fish fingers, breaded haddock, lamb steaks chicken breast, salmon
Thank you Antony good to have you here and to know some of the dishes you've done I've a whole list I'm working my way through. Enjoy your weekend 😊
My Ninja air fryer is like a 747 taking off from Heathrow, but my other air fryer Aobosi is very quiet. Both produce great results though.
Hi Colin 👋 Thank you for your comment it did give me a laugh 😃 I know what you mean I think it's that 2400w motor it's got 😊 it is quieter on the bake setting though.I've also got a cosori and it is so much quieter but only a 1700w I love them both equally x
I’m still learning from you. Many thanks. Hope to cook the chicken for Christmas in it. Not a turkey fan.
@colinbennington4157 So glad I can help 😊 I'm going to be doing a chicken using the probe and sync function for the roasties, and veg, I hope to have it out before Christmas 🎄 x
Great prog better sound this time.Rob
Thank you Rob this is one of the microphones that has given up on me, unfortunately, as it was good when it worked 😂 Working on buying a new one 🤞
Hi how long in total did it take for the chicken...then for the veg please?
Hi 👋 All times are in the video thanks for watching x
Do you have a link please for that two prong plastic fork that you used?
Hi 👋 There's a link in the description for amazon favourites. There's one in there under cooking things. Hope you have a great weekend x
Great video - lovely natural style. Don't worry about being a YT newbie - carry on like that and they'll love you! Your genuiness and sincerity is worth several years at RADA 😊 BTW the chicken looks good too 😇
Thank you so much!! 💓 That really does mean a lot. I hope you have a lovely day x
