So cute! I never would have thought hearts were so easy to sew just by giving a square some corner squares. Thanks for showing how to do it. This would make a great baby quilt done in pastels.
Donna, I do not miss a video of yours. I cannot wait to get home from work and see if you have put up a new video. I am a beginner quilter and I am trying to continue the art of quilting that my grandmother tried passing to me. She pieced and quilted anywhere from 3 to 4 quilts a week hand quilting every single one of them on her huge homemade quilting frames until she was around 95 years old. She died at 97. When she died a piece of me went with her. That is why I am so eager to continue this tradition. I wish I had the time to hand quilt because she taught me that but at least I’m interested in quilting. Keep the videos coming. I cannot explain how much they help and inspire me. You are a God send. God bless and may 2018 bring lots more help from you to us quilters.
“I’m going to get Matt to pick out the fabrics for me.” If those words don’t get you excited as a quilter, you’re not paying attention! Matt’s got the best eye in the business for putting fabrics together. Love their quilt kits.
I'm absolutely new to sewing and quilting, so new in fact I've just finished my first quilt. As a newbie you can imagine how many quilting tutorials I've watched but I find yours to be the best by far. While my first quilt wasn't one you've so expertly taught watching your videos gave me the confidence to start my first as well as giving me useful tips along the way. I did use your quick and easy binding method and will continue to use it. So from this newbie quilter I sincerely thank you for taking the time to share your quilting knowledge and skills with us all. You are talented and gifted, not just in respect to quilting but also in your ability to teach ... Thank you
Donna thank you for another great tutorial! I love quilts, but most of us love putting these smaller projects around our homes. Please keep them coming as you really have a gift for explaining things easily. Congrats on your new shop and it looks wonderful!
Donna and Matt I very much enjoy watching your videos. And even more amazed at the color combinations you put together. I would never have thought of putting many of the fabrics together.
Thanks for sharing, your videos are so easy and fun to watch, and so full of useful instruction.Like so many others watching you I am always eager to see what you will teach us next. You are an excellent teacher and I am grateful that you share your knowledge.
Love this pattern I actually have a wall hanging that I made in 2001. I love love your tips are phenomenal on ironing and piecing.. It's the exact pattern just made into a wall hanging instead of a table runner. This was very popular back in 2000. Great remake!!
I appreciate that you pointed out that your sewing isn't perfect. I often watch quilting videos and the person online makes it look like their work is perfect... and of course, I judge myself against that. I am NOT a perfect quilter. You have made me feel much better about myself!
What a sweet little table runner. Thank you so much for the tutorial. You give great instructions. Thanks also for the pattern. I'll be making it for Valentine's Day.
Donna, I’ve always looked at quilts and the thought of attempting anything other than basic squares has terrified me, until I watched your tutorials. Thank you, you have taken that terror away by explaining the process so well.
What a wonderful combination...great tutorial, lovely patterns, and a cooperative helper. I often give placemats with a theme for Christmas presents and this one is certainly a 'must.'
Donna, thanks again to you and Matt for your generous videos. If you are looking for suggestions, it would be nice to see a quilt which is made up of mainly borders (some pieced) and especially mitered borders. I can't find really good UA-cam videos on mitering borders and that's what I am looking forward to learning.
That’s a great project! Inspirational as usual. Great way to mix and match those bundles of charm squares we seem to accumulate. Thanks Donna and Matt. Xx
All of the runners are awesome. But the batik is my favorite. Well I do like the one that has them going every other way. Oh heck I like them all. This looks do easy. I cant wait to make it.
Seamstress. She's not with us anymore, but feel you help answer all of my questions with your easy tips. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love to sew, and make my gifts. I feel they are truly from my heart. And hope they are Loved as much as I loved making them. I'm retired so I need to keep busy, and sewing & UA-cam keep me moving forward with lots of creating projects. Wish sometimes dinner was fixed by someone else.... hahaha Sew (so) I can keep on moving forward....in my projects. Love you guys. And thanks ever so much for teaching me about starting with pressed fabric, straight cuts, and a fantastic project.
I love your tutorials. You make sewing look so easy. You are so talented. I can't wait to make a quilt! I am a beginner at quilting. Thank you for your inspiration.
You always give me a great tip in your video. The pressing to square up the heart is great to know and I LOVE that some of your seams did not line up perfectly! Makes me more comfortable! Love the video and I have a list of things to make, BUT they will be on back burner till I make this table runner. Love it. Thanks.
First time I remember seeing neither you nor Matt press the fabric before cutting. Very cute runner. Would love to make one for the new house I ammoving into this month.
Such beautiful table runners and such pretty fabric! I have a friend that has been quite good to me the past four years with encouraging and uplifting cards and letters. She would love a table runner like this. Thank you for sharing and thank you for the chance to win such a great kit! Happy New Year!
I love this table runner! I'm new to quilting so I might need some more practice first so I don't mess this beauty up. Thanks for the awesome instructions. Happy New Year!
Love this tutorial. You make everything look so easy and fun. Just discovered the Love You line of fabric tonight and then happened across your video, coincidence? I think not! I better do some ordering. Thanks for the inspiration.
Donna, this tutorial is so beautiful and fun!!!! I love those table runners and I love the collections you picked for those!!!!!! Also, thanks for pointing out that matching corners doesn’t always come out perfect......it’s so relieving that this happens even to professionals like you....somehow it boosts my confidence as I am always looking for perfect corners and often undo to achieve results comparable to yours..... 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Where can we find a Matt to get our fabric cut for us? 😂 How awesome would that be if we all had a Matt so we could just get to the fun part...the sewing.
Thank you for another excellent tutorial and thank you for writing up the pattern. I'd love to make a couple of these for Valentine's Day. Happy New Year!
Love to watch you sew and love to order from you also I’m from Ky and been working on a quilt trying to find the blue I need I’m on oxygen and my son is gonna take me to try and find what I need .
