Elizabeth was made with a single strategy in mind (Infinity to defend her constant 9999 Megidolaons, Armageddon to give her a taste of her medicine after 5000 damage), Margaret was made with the 25 minute turn limit in mind (though you can extend that to 50 or even 75 depending on your link with Rise), and The Twins/Lavenza are a slugfest with an expanding turn limit.
@@General_C Elizabeth is bullshit because she has a specific set of conditions you can't fulfil or else she will instakill with megidolaon, such as having any reflect abilities, having any immunities, being immune to her next attack, etc
I tried this fight for the first time and I got to the third stage. The one where you have to get a critical hit on every turn. I missed with Joker, used Morgana to heal, and used Makoto to give Haru an item to increase her critical. I used One Shot Kill with Haru and fucking missed. I turned off the game and questioned what life was all about.

Lavenza is the only boss I haven't beat. Idk if I will even beat her. Like I thought jose is tough but lavenza is on whole another level. Comparing azatoth and yaldabaoth to lavenza makes those two looks like trash mob that can be insta killed by ryuji.
@@Jotunn96 Lucifer isnt that good Unless your relying on finishing Lavenza, which has around 25000 HP in 9 hits, it's game over. Enduring Soul will not activate after 9 turns, as she does her All Out Attack, which guarentees the battle ending
Don't Persona and SMT superbosses in general have this trademark AI quirk where they start spamming almighty moves if you cover up all your affinities? How do you even defend yourself from weakness and technicals going solo? Especially on merciless, where they pretty much instakill an unbuffed joker
So anyone want to know something *really* fun? Use Technicals until Phase 3. Literally just use say, Cybele with Gloomy Child and Lullaby or Gloomy Child Raoul and Phantom Show, then have someone (I suggest Mona) use Okumura’s target Concentrate on Joker, have Haru Psiodyne and then Baton Pass to Joker and use Megidolaon/Black Viper/Morning Star/Myriad Truths. Every turn until she gets to phase 3. Then, if you’re using Haru, Mona and Sumire, switch to a Persona with high Crit chance moves like Brave Blade or One Shot Kill because Technical doesn’t work anymore. Maybe Shock does but I don’t know for sure. Since Sumire has Brave Step basically every hit can Crit. One Shot Kill, Brave Blade, Miracle Rush, One Shot Kill. If anyone has Charge that’s good too but not necessary. Just keep whaling on her. Akechi’s Rebellion Blade in exchange for anyone not Sumire also works since you’ll likely have her knocked to the ground and then it’ll deal like, 3x damage
24:09 imagine this scene in the anime. shes already unconscious, and Lavenza just pulls out a chainsaw " will you survive? " and proceeds to mutilate her.
FrozenFury 101 I think she would be upset because she use it without them cheating. Margaret only is it when you cheat or take too long. Elizabeth just doesn’t care I was putting all her power into fighting Makoto . But alas he destroyed her in that fight (just like he did in bed)
She is the youngest in the family - clearly talented for such a young appearance and age but she lacks finesse. Not everyone starts with an ability to Megidolaon your problems away with the surgical precision of "Time is up, you die" from get go. But she will get there.
Lavenza is no doubt incredibly difficult, especially with phase requirements sometimes needing pure luck to be met, but it’s significantly easier when you have an optimized team and setup. Just having high crit moves, Yoshitsune with Hassou Tobi, and Persona with Charge/Concentrate is barely enough to let you win. Before you even start the battle, have a Persona with Will of the Sword equipped. It’s bugged to make you start the battle with a free Concentrate, so you don’t need to waste a turn. I’d say to start the battle with Auto-skills but Lavenza immediately starts with Dekaja to nullify stat increases, so it’s a moot point. Have dedicated support Personas: They should only have support skills and passives that boost support or keep them alive longer (repels/drains are always good), no offensive skills. I have an Alilat with Vitality of the Tree (from Attis) and Thermopolyae, Charge, and Concentrate. Everything else is just Repels/Drains, so it literally can only be hurt by Wind and Almighty. Maria is my healer (and it’s the best healer by far with her signature skills) with Grace of Mother to reduce healing SP costs, Salvation, Holy Benevolence, Drains that cover her weaknesses, and passives that heal 40% every turn I have her equipped. My Yoshitsune has the Undying Fury trait (from Zaou Gongen), Hassou Tobi and Sword Dance for the high crit, with everything else being passives: Apt Pupil, Arms Master, and the rest being Repels/Drains. When Lavenza uses elemental attacks, she’ll take the most damage from the opposite element (ex: if she uses wind, use electric), so you can prepare a bunch of personas specialized for each element (have Intense Focus or Will of the Sword, Boost and Amp, Spell Master, Magic Ability, Ali Dance, and Repel/Drain for any weaknesses). If you just want a single Almighty Persona, fuse Satanael with Will of the Sword, Black Viper, and Megidoloan. The rest are passive Boost and Amp, Spell Master, Magic Ability, Tyrant’s Mind, and Ali Dance. This will give you the highest Almighty damage in the game.
I don't know if anyone here has encountered this but i softlocked my game on phase 4 of the lavenza fight and i don't know why it happened. I got a critical hit with sumire and knocked her down but then she attacked while knocked down and it locked up the game. she just kept looping the attack animation with those little knocked down stars above her head until i closed the game. All I've seen about it is one post on GameFAQs i think.
This was hard first time, but as soon as I understood the stat, I began to understand which party members to use and which moves work against her. I even got an All Out Attack finisher on her. I would have gotten a screenshot, if only capture wasn’t blocked.
U will need Joker, Ryuji (equip him with Ring of Greed), Makoto (equip her with Sword Dance Belt), and Kasumi (my opinion, just sayin). First/Third phase is where u will need to use Sword Dance to crit her. Then u will pass the baton to Joker to attack. Second Phase is where u will need to use ailment vials, and elemental items based on ailment used to hit her. Then pass the baton as usual, and attack. Fourth Phase is where u will try to take her down, using Charge/Concentrate/Heat Riser or Thermopylae, for u/ ur teammates, before Lavenza uses Lucifer to charge up/use a Megidolaon on u, possibly taking u all out.
I used Joker(w/Revolution Anklet), Morgana(w/Dragon's Heart), Ann(w/Fire Dragon Horn), and Sumire(w/Diamond Dust Lily) to beat her on merciless mode. On the first phase I would be using Arsene who would have Debilitate and Thermopylae with Vitality of the Tree, and Izanagi Picaro with Maziodyne; Morgana would be using either Salvation, Marakunda, or Magarudyne; Ann would either be using High Energy or Blazing Hell; and Sumire would be using Diamond Dust or Sword Dance. On the second phase Joker would be using Arsene to buff and debuff, switch over to Kaguya Picaro to counter physical moves and block both bless and curse instakills, and using Earth Beans on Sumire; Morgana would be using Salvation and sometimes use some items to either heal health, status ailments, or just use Earth Beans on Sumire; Ann would be using Dormina; and Sumire would be using Sword Dance while also Baton Passing to Joker to let Joker do another move. On the third phase both Ann and Morgana block or heal while Joker uses Revolution and Sumire uses Sword Dance. On the last phase I just use everyone's strongest moves like Satanael's Black Viper, Ann's Blazing Hell, and Sumire's Sword Dance; while Morgana heals or Earth Beans Sumire; Joker would also sometimes buff and debuff while also using Kaguya Picaro for Concentrate. Ann and Morgana's accessories were useless since I was expecting for her to have a phase that was similar to her first phase, but instead you needed nuke, psy, bless, or curse.
I understand why things are the way they are in games, to be balanced and fun, but let’s be honest, in reality, Futaba is SUUUUUUPER OP, like, here I’ll just give the entire team charge and concentrate at the same time, *enemy attacks* hah, no *activates final guard* oh you took damage? *ultimate support* if you had any control over Futaba this game would have literally zero tension, it’d be a cakewalk, and on top of her amazing character, that is why Futaba is and will always be best girl, thank you for coming to my TED talk.
I beat those two for the first time today. (I'd never bothered with challenge battles before.) And while the fights themselves aren't that bad, the real difficulty is in beating them with the required points to actually get a reward out of it. And I still prefer those over this! Those fights were fun! Lavenza is just not fun to fight.
I think what persona gets right about their boss fights is the ability to keep you on your toes but in an interesting way as to not bore you due to how long some of the bosses take to fight
During the first phase, I had everyone play support while I let Joker deal 95% of the damage. Yusuke to buff everyone, Akechi to Debilitate, Sumire for her high critical attack and equiped with Ring of Greed to charge up Joker. Also plenty of items so anyone can heal.
I just got really lucky on mine today. She charged megidolaon and joker alone survived with 1 hp bc of endure and futaba, the mvp that she is, cast ultimate support so i won. (If you arent tracking, ultimate support revives all downs, fully heals and casts heat riser and brave step on the whole party)
Lavenza: *uses Concentrate* Me: So who's it gonna be huh? Lavenza: *summons Lucifer* Me: Oh Lavenza: MEGIDOLAON! Me: Oh just like your sisters huh? Oh no...
Holy crap people weren’t kidding of how difficult this fight is even on normal mode. I tried doing it in Merciless Mode and Hard Mode But she kept All out Attacking me when I couldn’t perform crits so I had to downgrade to normal and even then I still struggled. Lmao. Kasumi is perfect to bring for this fight because of that high crit Chance with Sword Dance. If you don’t mind me asking what mode did you do this on? I feel silly for not being able to do it on merciless mode and I was doing the entire game on merciless mode. Then Lavenza came and it was a nightmare.

This fight is honestly super fun But that Critical Hit phase is an honest drag (even though I managed to finish it in roughly two rounds of player moves) Unfortunately for me, the only reason I legitimately beat it is because my Satanael had Enduring Soul I didn't count the turns in the final phase, so her Concentrate Megidolaon really hurt me
If you're not gonna Matunda why not...just have Haru for the natural One Shot Kill. Sumire can also use Brave Step. That why Joker can focus exclusively on Charge + Hassou. And if you need a reprevial Haru can block all damage for that turn if necessary.
Best strategy in my opinion is get a almighty set up with satanael and block, reflect etc. bless and curse so you can prevent instakills get enduring soul and black viper lastly for joker get maria as healer, have akechi , sumire and morgana. Let joker do most of the with satanael using black viper, next akechi attacks or debilitates, morgana can get criticals heal and raise evasion and sumire is for criticals and some damage. when you get a critical baton pass to joker and either use concentrate or save concentrate to use black viper with the baton pass. lastlt get futuba's third awakaning and sleep vials. With all of this it shouldn't be hard just a little tedious.
The strategy I used for this battle is incredibly similar. I went in with Joker, Morgana, Haru, and Kasumi. I would concentrate with joker, debilitate/heal with Morgana, try for a crit with Haru, and increase crit chance / try for a crit with Kasumi. The only parts of the battle that didn’t follow this are the second (technical), and third (critical hit) phases. In the second phase I would concentrate with Joker, use rage vial, get a technical with Haru, baton pass to Joker and deal severe psy damage, with the ability of the persona increasing technical damage by %50 (don’t remember what persona it is). This would usually end the phase in one turn and leave no worrying about insta-kill skills, since this is the only phase Lavenza will use them. In the third phase I would concentrate on Joker, and try for a crit with the rest of my party. When I would get a crit, baton pass to Joker and use black viper. This phase lasted about 3 rounds. The final phase I used the same strategy I used the first phase. If at some point in the battle I didn’t get a crit (not in third phase, because that would just instantly end the battle), I would have Joker use thermopylae.
Im glad I got to see this. Futaba came in clutch a few times haha and saying what multiple times was funny. That last bit of health seemed to take forever to go.
Joker isn't really the problem, it's his team. If you Omnipotent Orb Joker, Lavenza will kill the team. If she kills the team, it's over because by then, she'll use her All Out Attack
This was a nightmare on merciless. Hitting the damage cap in phase one was hard enough, but having to get a crit every turn during phase three was bullshit. Then in phase five you have to worry about her using concentrate followed by megidolaon for a one hit kill even when debuffed
Jeez even if the twins are one they still know when to give a bad time to us yikes tho four thousand hp fighting both twins and when they one that about eight thousand hp or I could be wrong
Like getting two turns fine whatever but she also gets to use the chainsaw after every single member goes for a time right there and if you didn't heal she could take out a party member pretty easily just with the chainsaw
Man, this boss fight is really hard. If you even want a chance to defeat her you will need a skill that has has a high chance on a critical hit. Using Kasumi is recommended for this battle
Itemizing Yamata-no-Orochi when the fusion alarm is on ( you can start a fusion alarm every time at Chihaya's fortune reading after rank 8 for 20k yen ) will give you the One-Shot kill skill card. this skill combined with passive moves that increase critical hits can really help,

@@queueshit5137 the specific damage doesn't really matter since both Lavenza's and Elizabeth's will oneshot anyways
Pretty sure it took me 10 times to beat her
Elizabeth was made with a single strategy in mind (Infinity to defend her constant 9999 Megidolaons, Armageddon to give her a taste of her medicine after 5000 damage), Margaret was made with the 25 minute turn limit in mind (though you can extend that to 50 or even 75 depending on your link with Rise), and The Twins/Lavenza are a slugfest with an expanding turn limit.

The only time ive seen the break skill be useful
This fight is so hard that even Lord-san couldn’t win so easily.
19:35 didn't know i was playing persona 4 like seriously. Would Margaret be happy that she did a good one or upset that she didn't kill everyone?
Mang...I kinda wish ya have vids bout that cuz it would be interesting to see it
This was hard first time, but as soon as I understood the stat, I began to understand which party members to use and which moves work against her.

I can't believe Lavenza had the audacity to interrupt beef bowl time.
During the first phase, I had everyone play support while I let Joker deal 95% of the damage. Yusuke to buff everyone, Akechi to Debilitate, Sumire for her high critical attack and equiped with Ring of Greed to charge up Joker. Also plenty of items so anyone can heal.
I wonder if Lavenza is stronger than the Twins?
She is
1 hit murder Megidolaon, and she actually resists and blocks things. Of course she's stronger.
And you *N e e d* crits near the beginning of the battle or it's over.

If you're not gonna Matunda why not...just have Haru for the natural One Shot Kill. Sumire can also use Brave Step. That why Joker can focus exclusively on Charge + Hassou. And if you need a reprevial Haru can block all damage for that turn if necessary.
Oooohh I'm thrill for this fight dayummm.... January is still a long way
Best strategy in my opinion is get a almighty set up with satanael and block, reflect etc. bless and curse so you can prevent instakills get enduring soul and black viper lastly for joker get maria as healer, have akechi , sumire and morgana.
This bossfight is really hard, but at the moment i'm writing this... I DID IT.

Imagine If she had the high level personas
Would it kill Atlus to give their super bosses unique themes? The theme is cool, but you hear it enough.
What's her reaction to the Omnipotent Orb? We know she has Almighty skills.
Joker isn't really the problem, it's his team. If you Omnipotent Orb Joker, Lavenza will kill the team. If she kills the team, it's over because by then, she'll use her All Out Attack
You don’t use it here. You get it as a reward for this.
I never tire of this song. Also, looking forward to this battle when I get there.
This was a nightmare on merciless. Hitting the damage cap in phase one was hard enough, but having to get a crit every turn during phase three was bullshit.
Then in phase five you have to worry about her using concentrate followed by megidolaon for a one hit kill even when debuffed
