Sir Bibl, you are a tone master! Loving the EX Tower tones with your Strat. It immediately takes you into Gilmour territory. As you know, David used the original version of this circuit on the entire Wall album and toured with it for well over a decade.
Really love your tone and playing! I go for the same type of tone. I have a 1969 smallbox 50 watt Marshall 1986 bass circuit which I love. Best sounding amp I have ever found and still trying to find something to beat it. I'm not sure it exists. I think many of the Divided by 13 amps sound beautiful. Would love to own a RSA 23 or the BTR 23....those KT88's do something different than my Marshall. Have owned a JRT 9/15 which I regret selling. I have tried a smallbox Friedman and although I didn't think it was as good as my Marshall it was very good and would probably be my choice for gigging to leave the old Marshall at home for recording etc. Thank you for your great video's!
Coming back to this great clip after watching a video of an early 80's AC/DC rehearsal......as always, Bibl Rocks and the Solo Dallas Tower has always stuck in my mind.....amazing tone nad playing. Any chance that you can detail your signal patth on this vid and where the Solo Dallas sits in relation to the other effects and amp? Thanks in advance!
Very nice playing and video ! Can I ask you few questions about the tower ? - I would like to get one but I wonder If the tower could be disturbed by a buffered pedal before it, as it comes something with fuzz or preamp pedals ? - also I would like to use the tower with other boosts, adding in a first time compression and gain with the tower to get my perfect overdrive tone with my old Marshall Plexi, and after that adding a klon or something else to get my distortion tone. -> Following you, what would be the best place for the boost, before or after the tower ? I’m afraid about the compression of the tower that could be disturb the amp with the add of an other boost. What do you think ? Thanks a lot for your help in this tone research 😉🤘

@@Biblrocks oh I bet it will be great. I wonder who Fil will have build it? Does he have a builder he works with ?
@@Biblrocks I forgot to ask about the cabinet you are using here. Is it an older cab with greenback 25's with Pulsonic cones or? Very curious. Thanks.

it‘s easy, solo dallas straight in the cranked normal channel of tge small box.
cheers
Hammer Geil!!! LG.
how do you get the tower so quiet? my tower can get noisy… especially with a noisy amp. I do use a rocktron hush pedal with it. it helps but not much
hi
yeah, it‘s noisy. doesn‘t matter in loud music. but rocktron helps!
cheers
for those fender chaps who need to sound like GIBSON,,,,,,,,,,,,,
a fender never sounds like a gibson, on the other hand it‘s ok to get hi gain tones with a strat and clean tones with a gibson.
cheers
Angus' toolset!
specially the old strat !
@@Biblrocks well, this is one difference between AY and HB besides the bank account :-D :-D :-D

hi
i use it always as the last „pedal“ before the amp, like a preamp stage. have no bad experience with pedals in front of it.
@@Biblrocks thanks for your answer 😉
