I uploaded this tutorial today (10-6-24), and started crocheting an afghan. Very similar to the Shell & Cord stitch, but I prefer this stitch pattern because the gaps between the shells & posts are not wide. Very dainty and lovely.
I watched this video yesterday and went and bought some Latte Stripe yarn by Red Heart, 4 weight, and am using a 5.5mm hook, and cannot believe how fast this stitch works up! Its a great stitch, thanks bunches Sarah!!
This pattern is so beautiful, that I stopped knitting my scarf and restarted to crochet a scarf with this pattern, I am very much pleased with it 🥰🥰🥰🌹🌹🌹
Thank you for this pattern! I’ve already made a few for gifts over the past two years. Currently making another. Q: how do I create a straight edge (oppose to the shell edging) at the top; at the ending of project?
Love the stitch but how do you do the end to look like the beginning of the scarf? In the beginning you start with a chain which is straight so how do you make the end of the scarf straight?
I love this stitch/pattern but I am wondering what you would suggest as a border for this? I like to have a border on my projects. Thanks for any input. 😀
I find it very interesting how each one of the crochet posters want people to like & subscribe to their channels & videos but when people like myself post questions requesting additional information or would like a question answered, the posters usually don’t even give people the courtesy of a response. The questions just go unanswered. Personally, I find this extremely rude!
Thank you for your concern. I think that the best way to contact a designer if you have a specific question is through email. The reason is that, as a designer, I receive +100 questions and comments a day on social media. I also have a family and other obligations other than my UA-cam channel to attend to during the day. It’s not possible for myself to answer every single question and comment. As I am an independent designer (I do not have a team nor a sponsor), it is just myself. I do my best, but many comments often get missed. If you send an email it is less likely to get lost in the world of social media and you will receive a response (my email response time is typically 24-72 hours). My contact information can be found in the about section of my channel or you can email richtexturescrochet@gmail.com. I am sure that every crochet designer would thank you for your patience and understanding.
This is an amazing beautiful yet simplistic stitch, I love it! I am going to see how it works up in Lion Brand Scarfie. I have just purchased 5 or 6 balls and I am excited to begin. However with Christmas upon us I will have to wait 😥 Thank you very, very much for this tutorial! And Merry Chistmas to all❣💚❤🤍

I learned this stitch a few years ago & it's name was The Corded Shell Stitch. Very pretty & easy stitch

I am wondering how much worsted weight yarn would be needed for a baby blanket 25 x 35. I love this stitch
Thank you so much!!!💕
Such a beautiful stitch. I love the yarn and colour but think maybe it's only available in the States and not in the UK? xx 💕
How do you bind off/put a border on this if you make it into a throw/afghan since the shells are wavy? Just curious...thanks!
maybe a row of single crochet across the curved end. The sides and bottom are straight .
Very nice 👏👌
So Nice💚💚💚
Love the stitch but how do you do the end to look like the beginning of the scarf? In the beginning you start with a chain which is straight so how do you make the end of the scarf straight?

At the moment I do not have a suggestion for a border. Typically when I use the pattern, because the top is so pretty I leave it as is
