Hi. I find the plastic screws that secure the feathers on not solid at all....either the metal cylinder is machined too long or the plastic screws are too short because I just find it very hard to get a good thread into the hole and tighten the screw on solid. So what I did was wrap electric tape around the plastic screws and the island to make sure the screws do not back out. Have you seen this issue also? Thank you
It can connect to a wrist lanyard, but with the fingerpick, mine usually stays in my pocket. Range is 200 meters for the Chameleon 3. The micro on the chameleon extender has a range of 400 meters.
Dream Dogz - Central Florida Dog Training Hi, thanks for this video. I am interested in Chameleon 3 as well but not sure what size should I go for. I have a DDR German shepherd, can you suggest which size would fit better? Also what kind of feather contacts did you get? Here is the Chameleon 3 link, just to show what comes with it. www.bartbellonshop.com/chameleon-systems/set-chameleons/chameleon-iii-large-tt4fk-finger-kick_558_1498 Also you mentioned that you ordered feather contacts,
Thank you for making this video! I am reading the manual, but it is very intimidating. This was really helpful.

How waterproof is the Chameleon? Will it stand up in salt water.. I know they all need rinsing afterwards
From what I understand, the collar and finger kick are waterproof. The transmitter is water resistant.
Where did you purchase your chameleon 3? When I went to Martin and Bart's website, I just saw chameleon 2. Thanx!
You should able to find it here - www.martinsystemshop.com/chameleon-systems/set-chameleons
Is the Chameleon 3 waterproof? Does the remote have an option to connect a wrist Lanyard? What is the range?
Sorry-- waterproof issue addressed already ;)

What size neck is the large Chameleon for?
they have it on the website - martinsystemshop.com - the large fits my golden perfect!

Also you mentioned that you ordered feather contacts,
I’d likely go with a large size. And only one size feathers right now. Enjoy!
How much are they?
What is a chameleon? I'm confused.
The best remote training collar ever :)

Nice. What about it is better than or lacking in other collars? Maybe I'll try it.
The big things are the look, the finger kick, the contact confirmation, and that the stim will stay the same, if the dog is wet or dry.
