I've seen this aircraft in the late 90s in the Shell Air and Sea Show in Fort Lauderdale (Florida). At first I saw what I thought was an Extra 300 or similar - But the turbine sound and massive propeller had me look twice! Amazing performance. The video does little justice on what this aircraft can do. If you were skydiving from 13k in this plane - You'll be from brake release to jump altitude in less than 90 seconds. Not even enough time to put your helmet on and check your gear (hahaha!). Climb rates approaching 10,000 fpm are just rediculous (about the speed of a skydiver, but going up)! So sad the plane was lost due to an engine failure. Glad he survived the crash and lived to fly again.
Wayne is a true legend. Had the chance to meet him on two occasions and he gave a wonderful eulogy at my grandfathers memorial service. Thanks for sharing this!
I saw this performance, and his performance at Reno. What a jaw-dropping airplane, flown by a superb pilot. Really a shame that it was never rebuilt after Wayne's accident.
I heard that there was another plane he flew before this, a piston-engined plane called the Raven. It was an amazing stunt plane in its own right. It also served as the inspiration for the Turbo Raven. Are there any videos of the original Raven?

The most badass aerobatic plane ever built...
I bet the first time he flew that plane his words were,
HOLY SHIT!.

1:19 And this stunt is what finally cost the plane (Luckily not Wayne's life).
When you enter a situation with no plan B, consider if it's worth it.
I really wish that I could have seen this plane fly in person!! I fly RC and this is the only plane that can do what an RC plane can...
I got to see his last full performance. Reno 99. it was amazing.
gooniac33 rolling harrier...no can do
I think that the Harrier is the only thing it can't do... but still ... really amazing and it sucks that they didn't ever build another one!!!

I saw this plane in action. So weird to see a plane hanging vertical and then accelerate straight up.
2011 de izmir ciglide Yapılan AİR SHOW 2011 gösterisini görmek isteriz. (Türk Hava kuvvetlerinin 100. Yıl dönümü idi)
What a beast
Exactly 60 seconds
they don't make airplanes like that anymore, which is a really bad thing
Wow. I want that plane
They should make more turboprop stunt planes!
i just wish he still flew this beautiful aircraft :(
Horse power?
~750hp. Likely the PT6A-25C (Aerobatic) or maybe -34 or -135.
Turbo raven dies when land so fast

As soon as the wings were not level he was turning.
